hi I'm Sarah Miller mo and I am the creator of the so inspired design system have you ever wanted to do curved piecing but thought that it was going to be way too hard and it's nothing that you wanted to tackle well I'm here to tell you that doing curved piecing is just as easy as doing straight piece quilting so let me show you just how easy with my technique how you can do curves and make them just as simple and easy as doing a straight piece block the way I do my curved piecing is I use a product called wonder tape and the wonder tape is going to let you do your curves and use the tape instead of pins this is complete pinless method of doing your curves so the way you do this is you simply take your wonder tape and I'm going to fix it's very sticky so you take the wonder tape and you're going to fix it to the edge of your curve and you roll the tape out and I don't cut the tape away until I've completely clipped my curves so you have to clip about every inch or so just so you can get the tape to go around the curve so just clip on a diagonal just like I am here and then I'm simply going to lay the tape very very on the very edge of your curve and this is on the outside edge of the curve so once you have the tape on there you can rip this off and then you will make sure that the tape is on there secure you pull the paper side off and once you have the paper off now all you need to do is you're going to start matching your edges just the way you would if you were pinning it except now it's much easier you're going to be able to match your edges you start with one corner right here and you just match your edges just like this you're going to go ahead and match the other side and match that corner and match your edges and then simply work it to the center and by doing this you make sure that you don't have any puckers or any pleats one of the biggest problems that people have doing curves is they tend to so in pleats I'm going make sure that you don't do that and another thing that happens is sometimes you get more fabric on one side of a curve than the other when you start from the outside and work it to the inside you'll end up getting absolutely no you'll be able to ease it in in the center because that's where all your biases so you can see here you run your once you've got it all secured down you can run your finger over this and make sure that there's no puckers in pleats you can open up your block make sure that it looks fine you do the same thing with this piece and then once you've got that tape together how difficult is it going to be for you to sew this you simply put your quarter inch foot line it up to the edge of your fabric and you're going to be able to sew around this edge right here just as though it was a straight piece block so it's very very simple and if you've ever wanted to do curves this is an easy easy method that you can do it with
