[Music] hey guys you're with me kevin your scuba professional and today we're here to review the crazy scorpion bcd that we've got available on our site this is one of the new and awesome bcds that they've recently released and it's got some really quirky features that we're going to check out so let's start at the top and work our way to the bottom over the top we see it's got the standard crazy power inflator hose and then the power inflator valve you've got your dump valve and your power inflator valve over there a nice ergonomic mouthpiece for you to orally inflate with your power inflator hose you can just pull on that dump valve and that will release the air from the section of your bcd as you go over the top you have another dump valve over here if you follow the string down to a little beehive you can tug on that which means you've got another little tug to dump some air it's got two really solid straps across the top they're quite solid and comfortable one of the things i've noticed this is a travel bcd so these little d-rings where you normally get metal d-rings on one of the other bcd's are not just raised lumps of uh wedding so it's very easy for you to clip things onto your bcd as you need they do have two raised plastic d-rings just above the shoulder pinch clips so that makes it much easier for you to plug on or clip on a torch or a camera if you so choose and it's got quite adjustable shoulder straps with the pinch clips for you to clip on and clip it back again and you have a sternum strap over there which is quite adjustable just to open up the chest area if you so choose and then across the back it's got a quite a padded back section with some crazy branding on the inside so there's some nice material there with some kadura on the outside to give it some extra rigidity one thing to note this being a travel bcd it does not have a rigid spine the rigidity comes from the cylinder at the back and then you just attach it and that gives you all the rigidity you need coming across to the front you see it's got two really big pockets which is unusual for a wing style or back and flight bcd normally this is where the white pockets will go however this bcd has got two big uh utility pockets this is big enough for you to put an smb or a reel or your compass or your camera plus you have a small compact camera this is a great little addition for you to put that in there and then you have your little octo clip or gauge clip at the side which clips on and off and there's a number of d-rings on each side there and you have your waist strap across the front with a big pinch clip over there this is quite adjustable i really like the fact that they do not have a velcro on this bcd velcro to me is the little devil of bcds because when it twists around it rubs against your wet seats then you get those little furry bubbles and it just really damages stuff i don't know why we need velcro in any of the gear i much prefer this type of setup which has just got the pinch clips and there's no velcro to to wrap around if we spin around the back of the city you can see it is a standard recreational single cylinder design for you to put in your cylinder you have your tank alignment strap at the top over here and a single standard crazy uh cylinder band which will hang onto the cylinder with one fold over clip and you have a dump valve at the bottom one single dumbbell from the bottom right hand side for you to dump it as you go down the little crack of the bcd that i think is quite cool is they've positioned the integrated weights on this bcd at the bottom back so you can pull that out over there and pull this out over here and you see that that sits just behind your your pocket so when you're diving that'll put the weight sort of just at the back over here which give you a lot more stability in the water so you'll glide along quite well so uh your standard weight pockets over there you could probably get three maximum four kilos in each side so you could dive up to six max eight kilos on this bcd and you just slide that in and clip it in and then that'll be up the back of your bcd when you go diving which is quite cool i think it's a really interesting design that they've gone through i like the fact that you've now got big pockets in the front and the integrated quite often with the these types of bcds you never got pockets so you had a second thought after thought roll down pocket which i didn't think is great however these big pockets which are broken with the white pockets being at the back over there is a great addition so there's the review of the crazy scorpion bcd with big white pockets at the back and really great utility pockets towards the front i think it's a must for any diver that's going out diving a lot and also a great travel bcd so there's that review of that crazy scorpion if but you guys enjoying these product views please feel scream and feel free to subscribe
