it feels like just last week that James was feeling down about being in Bend but being out in the community has really changed his perspective about it now he has a favorite coffee shop and he meets his friends there to shoot the breeze before work and now he walks past homes that he helped build with his own hands life's not that bad here in bent or at least it isn't for James now but Jamila like many Ben residents is starting to panic the Home Building frenzy not only dramatically increased the footprint of the community but it also significantly increased the number of residents looking for work and there's been a steady stream of people in jamila's office looking to see if there are any jobs available but there aren't you see Johnson Aggregates has been dragging its feet on setting up shoing town and nobody can seem to figure out why but rumor has it that the major automakers in Detroit have cut their EV production estimates for the next few years and that has significantly reduced the demand for copper and as a result they're holding off on their Investments until copper prices stabilize but that leaves Magnolia County in a bind the county planned for jobs that haven't materialized residents told family and friends that Ben was a place of unlimited opportunity and so far it hasn't been and because of this there's a huge unemployment problem without intervention the County Board believes that the region will soon have a major crime problem so they decide to use every tool at their disposal they issue a request for proposal or RFP that offers to give away county-owned land across the river from Bend to any business that promises to create at least 50 new jobs in the area further they have secured funding from the state to build two new Bridges to the area finally they set up a tax increment financing or Tiff District across the river from Bend this Tiff District would reduce the cost of building public infrastructure for development ERS while also reducing property taxes for any new businesses that set up shop in the area for the next 20 years and with their generous incentives they receive dozens of responses to their RFP and spend weeks identifying the projects that had the highest chance of succeeding and today we're going to break ground on those projects we'll build multiple Farms a forestry industry and an aggregate mine and we'll also attempt to reduce unemployment along the way and this will be the first of many rural builds in the county and if you're excited to build rural areas in a city building game hit the like button and if you would have preferred that we build a train station or local bus system first hit the like button for that too and let me know what you would have done in the comments or drop me an emoji representing what you would have done for the sake of Engagement and without any further Ado let's Jump Right In hello welcome back to city planner plays we are building Magnolia County we're going to be focusing our build today right here in this clearing across the river from Bend and I absolutely love this location for a few reasons first of all for farming you wouldn't have to clear many trees for this area to be viable for farming so as far as a path of lease resistance it would seem to make a lot of sense from that perspective right here we've got a dense forest so I imagine some of the farmers that own Farms right here owning a portion of this forest and imagine them leasing out some of that Forest to a lumber company for active management and a bit of extra revenue and then we're also fairly close to Ben so we could have an aggregate mine maybe back here and still have access to bend without all of the negative externalities impacting bends such as heavy truck traffic going straight through the heart of the community so this is a great location for all of those reasons but it is currently completely inaccessible so we're going to need to think about a transportation Network to reach there and I'm thinking that we'll add a bridge coming from this roundabout near downtown directly across the river and I love this location because it's a fairly narrow point in the river and it's a very logical place from a transportation standpoint because we have access to basic everything from this location but if we just did this we'd have a gigantic culde act so we're going to need to add a secondary bridge and access and I'm thinking that we'll take this stub and turn it in right here and then Loop these two together and then this area will not be called a sack so let's begin by purchasing some tiles so we can start to execute on this vision and we'll buy these six tiles which is where we'll have our Farms our forestry industry and our aggregate mine these two which will be for our Highway and these two which may be for our our Highway and maybe for our forestry industry we will cross that bridge when we get there terrible pun there might be a bridge there you never know but now that we've got those purchased let's begin building our rural Transportation Network starting out with our Highway and I want to do this because we're going to basically be working reverse from a hierarchy standpoint so I am going to start out with our arterials our highways then we'll build some collectors which I'm going to think of as our Cony roads and we will use our Alleyways for that and then we'll build some local roads for our Farms and we're going to use gravel roads for those but first let's build this bridge and I'm going to turn off the guidelines and try to keep this bridge as flat as possible going right across the river so I'll pop this up and I'm hoping that if I keep it flat right here I can preserve the path and not need to rebuild that and then we'll have another stop in the center I'm going to start to try to bring the bridge down a little bit because it looks like it's lower over here yeah it's definitely a little bit lower and that couldn't be much better from a height standpoint this is not going to have boats going up this River so I'm not overly concerned about the height of the bridge I think that this would be just fine now I'm going to run this straight back which may seem strange but I'm thinking about this from the public land survey system perspective so the public land survey system is was a method of dividing property Ohio and west in the United States uh devised by Thomas Jefferson and you can see the scars of it all across the land basically so the land is divided into 1 mile by 1 mile squares and a lot of the transportation networks and cities are built around these and you can see it the divisions of one mile divided into further half miles quarter miles and so on and so forth so we're going to show that by having this go straight off here and in the future this will progress out this way until we meet up with our Highway over here and we will attempt to mimic that over here as well now obviously over time things change so we will deviate from this and respect the topography but I do want to show that this system was a thing considering this County is located west of Ohio so I've been thinking that we'll have our tiles from City skylines help form this grid so I'm going to run this parallel to this tile right here more or less anyway and it will turn blue and sad looking because it's December just like in real life it's super super dark now so we go with that and now this road would have likely just progressed this way before it became a highway so we'll add that there temporarily and we'll imagine that because of the terrain another road went along this tree line right here and actually I'm going to convert this to be the alleyway our collector but before we make this connection I want to finish off the highway so we are going to try to find the most logical path up to a future bridge and maybe we start start with the bridge so I want this bridge to be fairly level 3% is pretty darn good but I think this is probably a better location yeah because we can angle right in and now I need to come down the hill here and cut with the Contour into the highway I think we'll grab this Contour height right here and build along it and then I'm going to connect this right into our Highway and we'll connect right here as well I want to grade this one out first though because you can see that the the cont tour lines are a little bit closer and considering This Is A Highway considering that there are likely Implements of husbandry using this considering that there's likely truck traffic we need to Gentle this up a bit and that slope is considerably better and it looks really really good the one thing I don't love is we can see that our bridge is dropping down so let's get that rectified and now I'm going to use a simple curve to turn this into this highway and then we'll eliminate this so this highway right here I'm going to consider this a US Highway it is our arterial backbone for this area and now we need to build out our collector so we've got our first one right here at least the start of it we are going to downgrade this right here to be a collector and then I want to angle this road in and we'll get rid of that extra stub as well right here we are going to change the priority so you if you've been to a rural area where maybe the RightWay has changed you might have noticed that it looks like the road may have at one point progressed straight through and then it got severed at one point we're going to do that right here so I just want to come in with a 90° angle and snap into existing geometry so I can get as close to the highway as possible and sever it and then we are going to come in from the highway at a 90 a nice safe 90 and that will be our new connection into this old collector right here now I don't don't want to overdo it with these rural roads that is always a Temptation for me and what I'm thinking is we we actually just want basically to go as minimal as possible so we're going to have one collector through the center of here and I'm going to come at a 90 from the highway and go straight through like that and now so it looks like the public land survey system we're going to grid this out a bit so I'm going to come up 500 M or rather 5004 M and we're going going to add a collector right here and I'm going to do this all the way up and down here there we go I think that that is about where we end with our rural grid and what I love about this is that it's created some interesting Parcels for us and it has given us natural divisions for our farms and for our local roads we're going to add those in as as we build our farms and before we move on I want to return to this Junction one more time because I think that we could improve this and we probably should we're going to add some slip lanes for our turns and really kind of control this a little bit more than we are right now so we're going to use our thre Lane two-way Highway and use this to create dedicated turn lanes and we'll do this going away from Bend and towards Bend and then we're going to use our on Lane highway road to add our slip planes and now that we have those we're going to replace a couple of roads here I want to take this road and convert this down to just a normal two-way Road and then we'll control some movements through here so for instance no right hand turns here we'll make sure there are no leftand turns here even though this goes nowhere right now I am going to upgrade this in anticipation of the future this would never happen in a million years but we're going to take some Liberty and then right here you can see that there's a left that you're able to make we'll get rid of that and right here we'll also get rid of that right hand turn so it's straight only and then right here now that I'm thinking about it we're actually going to upgrade this to a four lane two-way Road and we'll just control where these lanes are added a bit more there we go I think that all of our movements are well controlled now the one thing that I don't love and you can kind of see it right here this is lining up incorrectly so I am going to scoot this over and there we go and the main purpose of that was to ensure that that straight movement was a nice clean straight through and now with our roadway Network in place let's move on to building our specialized Industries we're going to begin by placing some of our farms and I want to see what we actually need so we'll pop into our production menu and of course we need need grain because it's City skylines too and grain is used for everything apparently so grain and basically everything except for cotton which reasonably shouldn't grow here anyway so maybe for the sake of realism we'll avoid cotton and I think we'll start here and I'm going to try my best to get out of City skylines one mindset where I pop this right on the road and instead I will pull this a little ways back and the nice thing about that is with our 500 meter Square here we should be able to cover much of it and I'm going to pop that right about here and I don't really care about this right now so I'm going to right Mouse click out and then we'll bring our local Road our Gravel Road directly to this Farm before we go any further I'm going to run power over here and I'm going to do this in a way that might not seem totally rational but basically I'm going to run this along the side of the road but not on the road so you have the ability to snap this to the side of the road but I've noticed a couple of things first of all it doesn't always work very well so let's say we get this here sometimes you'll actually make your power connection sometimes you won't I'd rather have the control so I'm going to run it one unit out I think this looks more natural anyway and then I can cross the road and it's going to get mad at me it's mad at me why are you mad at me overlapping items so I guess I'll have to freehand the rest of this but I'm honestly not overly concerned I think it'll end up looking better anyway I will look at our contour line so that we can try to make this look as rational as possible and then I'm just going to run this all the way down here and then right here we're going to do the most realistic thing possible and I want to pop the power line underground and we'll just connect up on the other side of the river that is the height of realism right there just running it underneath the river no problem we'll do the exact same thing with our water and sewer now obviously with these I would expect that water and sewer would be handled locally at each of the at each of the Farms but uh we'll have to take some Liberties here and I'll run that underneath the road right where it belongs and we'll even connect up right there now this is ugly what happened here we could fix that this must be a spot yeah this is where I overextended so I just need to back this up and then redraw this small segment of the highway looking much much much better so we should have everything connected ideally except for our connection right into the local road but for this it should be just the simple as connecting this segment to the side of the road right here and now ah there we are perfect now before we draw in our boundary around the farm let's add in a Farmstead and this is something I want to do for all of the Farms it's very common to see these so why wouldn't we just include that well not that small we want a larger Farmstead than that they've got space they're going to take it and now we will finally use our area tool and fill this out all right what I Tred to do here is not impact the forest too much while still making this logical and I didn't want to pull this all the way to the road because it to me it looks pretty unnatural now we can add some trees or something along the line along the side of the road to act as a Windbreak and for some of our other Farms we may actually divide these uh little squares in half to have more types of farms a little bit more diversity and we'll use tree lines in between there as well now one thing I noticed while I was drawing all of this in is that this distance right here is over 500 M so we're going to add one more collector through [Music] here and interestingly with that one it almost negates the need for this so I think I will get rid of that and now let's add some more farms and I'm going to take a look once more at our production and we are we have a huge Surplus for grain let's add in Chi chicken and some vegetables or livestock and vegetables not chicken and I decided to go way different with these so we're adding in our local Road right here and this is rotated on the side and I added another one right over here so right here we've got our vegetables right here our chickens let's add in some homes and then we'll once again use our area tool and and I'm going to continue to have that one unit separation and in between our Farms we're going to do the exact same thing now this is helpful for two reasons if we get too close it's really difficult to separate the two Farm districts and again I don't want to encroach upon the forest so I'll do something like this as [Music] well and then there we go two more farms and we can add a break in between there I really like the way that that looks I tried again not to impact the forest we're going to do the exact same thing across the highway and here's where we deviate a little bit from roadway hierarchy we can every now and then roadway hierarchy isn't something that is set in stone the rules are broken all the time and that's okay and I think we'll add some livestock farming over here and actually for this one let's turn off roadway snapping and we want to have a Farmstead here we'll just place this livestock [Music] farm and we're Four Farms down and we probably have four more to go maybe five and once again back into our production look we are producing some livestock so I think at this point it's just going to be trying to balance this out a little bit I'm going to go with a whole bunch of vegetables and grain I think we'll for the most part forget about livestock for now [Music] and interesting I had to repair one of the farms and as I placed the new one it's a livestock Farm I lied to you we decided to place them anyway I unlocked the dairy house so I am going to take a look at that right away because I'm really curious about this I haven't seen it yet and the dairy house delivers delectable Dairy Delights daily I love the sound of that it gives us an additional 2% industrial efficiency Citywide and 2% % additional export profits Citywide we are absolutely going to add this thing and the size of it is awesome so we actually have a large building so I'm going to definitely roll with this and that might actually cause me to reconsider no no so I was thinking maybe I would switch this to a livestock Farm but truthfully if we have a grain Farm it's totally fine it would make a ton of sense to have grain on a dairy I'm going to place this after I add a local Road here and we'll consider this one of the larger farms in the area and we'll add this right here wow that thing is absolutely massive and maybe we'll even add a couple of homes off from here imagine this is a large family operation and I think that looks really really good I love that so we got two homes here the dairy here and our grain it's biofuel okay well we're going to ignore that you'll have to uh give me that one and let's get the rest of these filled in as [Music] well and just like that we've got a ton of farms and I had to adjust a couple of these cuz I realized I broke my own rules about having the tree breaks or at a minimum separation in between the farm farms and the roads cuz I think it looks really unnatural when your farm fields are just touching the road it doesn't seem right unless of course it is a local road but these are looking really outstanding now we've got two more things that I want to accomplish with our specialized Industries I think we also need to build a forestry industry and I love the idea of placing that near this large Dairy that we have because these folks would have potentially the extra land because of all the money that they generating on their large farm so we're going to say that they own this right [Applause] [Music] here and there we go I've added this little forestry industry back here and I tried to keep the little bit of Separation in between this district and these other districts the idea being that if these touch they become almost impossible to separate it really becomes a sticky situation terrible puning but that's what I do and then the last thing that we're going to place is our aggregate mine our Stone mine and we are going to place that right over here by the water which you know there could be some environmental concerns associated with that but we won't worry about that we won't let that deter us from doing what we want to do but yeah in reality I do think that that might be a concern and for this I'm going to turn this in and I think that this is the best way to link this up it's really difficult because I don't really know there are three positions on here that they want you to provide access to one's right here another is right here and then for some reason on the side so I think we can deal with this and it'll work fine and now we will adjust our area and we can terraform our area afterwards potentially so I think we will do that cuz I want this to feel like it's been dug [Music] out I will admit to you I'm a little bit surprised that we don't have one of those big Stone Crushers spawning I guess it wants to be bigger before we do that and I'm not sure if we're going to be able to get this thing to be big enough maybe it'll spawn over time but it's definitely definitely strange either way we're going to terraform this to try to make it feel a little bit better and honestly maybe it's for the best that the Stone Crusher is not here anyway because it would make that really challenging so I'm going to go into the shift terrain tool on a fairly low brush strength and size and we're just going to start lowering this into the ground or raising it you know whatever works and now do something like this we don't need to do this everywhere but at least [Laughter] [Music] somewhere and I'm going to be honest with you it really bugs me that there is not a Stone Crusher here so we're just going to go for it we're going to buy another tile because I'm getting the Stone Crusher I don't care we need it and now I it's funny you can't really tell with the texture that we have right here that it's actually going down but you know it I know it and that's all that I need as long as we're all operating in the same mindset I'll take [Music] it there it is and interestingly enough that raised everything up so it doesn't matter that I lowered this down what I'm going to do to attempt to fix this I'm going to pull this in to get rid of the Stone Crusher then we'll terraform a whole whack tonnel land [Music] oh my goodness I can tell that I have been playing with the terrain tools for too long cuz now I can't seem to hit the button I want to hit it's going to be okay it's going to be okay we all have those days sometimes and that is where I'm at with these terrain tools and I don't think that this should necessarily be that crisp of an edge so I'm going to make this appear to be cut and now I'm seeing water so now I'm getting afraid so sometimes you just got to know when to step away I think I think I'm almost at that point where I know that it is my time to step away from the level terrain tool because I'm just making things [Music] worse and now is when I step away from doing anything with the landscape and truthfully look at this you can't even tell I guess if you come into the pit if you were to fall into the pit then you could tell that there's digging here but uh for the most part the textures are so flat that you can't tell so I just lost my mind for no apparent reason let's take a step back and I want to take a look at our production to see what we're looking at here and wow we have a huge Surplus which is really exciting because that means that we are likely making just a ton of money from all of this look at this our revenues are through the roof at this point in time which is super exciting and the funny thing is it might feel like it's coming from our rock or our livestock but it's really not generating that much it is providing the raw inputs into our industrial areas though which are now significantly more profitable that we've also had a big update to the game which has rebalanced everything some for the good some for the uncomfortable either way I'm not going to complain about the city making money and I'm not going to complain about this area turning out very well what I think we're going to do is switch gears for just a moment and build some rural subdivisions so a bit of a peak behind the curtain I had to step away so I saved and I did some yard work and made a shepherd's pie and now I'm back here and I load back in for some reason we've unlocked mil Stone 8 boom toown and I'm gonna just let this one slide I'm happy about this we get money we get development points we get expansion permits so we probably should just take a win when we get one and be happy and we really don't get much with this outside of high density which let's be honest we don't even have 4,000 population it's probably not the best time to introduce high density even though we've unlocked it that's great we are going to work on a small rural subdivision not a whole bunch of high density so I think there are going to be two that we focus on I think one near this Lake would be well advised and then maybe even one right about here we might change this area up just a little bit for the third time today and have just a road or two coming off here with a couple of homes so for this we're going to use our gravel roads and we'll make this fairly simple we don't want to overdo it we don't want to have too many homes what I think we'll do is come off here and I'll run a road along the coast and then I don't want this to be three culde saacs or two culde saacs whatever it ends up being so I think that we'll add one more Connection in here and it'll be another opportunity for some more [Music] homes and then for all these little stubs right here we're going to create culd the sacks using our dirt roads so we'll go into our continuous tool tap right here tap one more time and now we can loop around and it will just find that first place that we tap we'll go up maybe four units here and then around and we have the perfect culdesac bulb we'll do the exact same thing in these other places as well now the magic around here is going to be zoning I'm going to go with some of our European buildings again because I don't want trailers spawning out here maybe we actually you know what this might be the one location where I'll be okay with a few trailers so we'll add in a few out here so I want to have these very well separated and we'll have a nice mixture between some larger homes and some smaller ones and when I say separated I mean separated we don't want these to be remotely close to one another and I think this is about all that we'll add here in terms of zoning and while this is filling in let's switch our attention to right here and we're going to do something even more modest than over here I'm thinking just a road either direction or just a couple of homes and these seven homes right there that is about it for this little neighborhood as well let's let this fill in and see what our homes look like it looks like we've completely filled in and here we go I think there's going to be a little bit of terrain work that we have to do right here for instance this home is basically going to fall off the cliff if we don't do a bit of terraforming but in general the the spacing is good the one thing that's a little bit strange about the assets and City skylines too is that so many of them have fences built in so you end up with situations like this where we have a trailer so I deliberately zoned some 2 by oh potato [Music] mode and just changing the bias like we normally do has fixed this no more potato mode for us anyway back to what I was saying I purposely zoned this to be a 3X3 because we'll get some trailers with that same thing with the 2x 3s and that could work in an area like this and I think it feels really natural but the fences again a little bit strange that we have them all over the place we do have a nice mix between European and American assets though so we do have a bit more diversity back here in terms of homes than we otherwise normally would so I think it turned out really really good what's going to take it to the next level is a little bit of landscaping and detailing our detail in for this build is going to be fairly modest I just want to add some trees in between the farms and the road and the farms and the Farms as well as do a bit of terrain work around the homes that we just placed in this new subdivision so very gentle work but it's definitely going to take this to the next level and I've got a surprise but we're going to get to that after we remove some of these trees that are already in between the road and the farm so to do this we're going to go into our Landscaping tool and I'll go into the mall multi brush and make sure that this is not selected and that our brush strength is all the way up because now I should be able to just come through here and remove anything that's in my path if I had the snapping on it'll only remove the type of tree that I currently have selected and now it's time to get to the serious business of tree planting and I want to have some a mixture between Evergreens and deciduous trees we'll start out with a pine tree and we'll have to be in in our place one mode but we're not going to place one at a time and we're not going to place baby trees because alron just released an amazing mod in the store and I am going to continue to use these quality of life mods that end up in the Thunder store and this is one that I absolutely have to had to add into the build it is the line tool so contrl L brings this up and then we get this interface now no you have to pick your tree first you can't change it once you're in this interface you'll have to wait and go back into the Landscaping tool if you want to change it but once you're in here you have the ability to click once and drag this down right now I have just the place in align mode traditional place in align mode and I could just add these right through here we're at 21 M spacing uh apart from the trees we click on this and we have a row of adult trees so this is just so cool I'm so happy so happy that we have this and this is uh honestly the other the other tool ducks in a row worked really well as well but it didn't have this interface and this just means a ton to me although I heard that that mod is also improving as the days go on so the modding scene is vibrant and getting better by the day in City skylines 2o but this tool can do more obviously we have the fence mode so if you wanted to do kind of a wall of these trees you could do that and didn't show up because they're too close to the farm oh and I'm getting rid of oh making things worse all better no one saw that everything's fine contrl L back into the tool and we could also do a a curved line of trees so that works the same way that the curved tool does so click once to start click two to set the place where your Curve will begin click three to finish your curve up and then obviously we have the the the the tool that allows you to place trees in a circle and actually why don't we do this one for real so we will place some of our wildf flower bushes in a circle and I will fully admit that I am not well vered with this tool gist yet so we're going to experiment and look at this click one time in the center place this oh that was so easy we'll try it again click once in the center oh I didn't activate the tool didn't activate the tool crl L and then we'll round out with an oak in the center of that that is lovely I'm sorry I am kind of over the moon about this because this has been one of the things that's been really challenging for me personally as someone that really likes to landscape in City skylines is the difficulty in planting trees and this just makes it a ton easier and there are things that we're going to be able to do now like right here we placed this is a pine tree let's say I want to alternate between Pine and uh some sort of deciduous tree because we want coverage in the winter and the summer so we'll go with a hickory crl L into our Landscaping tool I'll turn off fence we'll go into our line and I'm going to choose a spot right here in between and now we should be able to place a perfect row of these now we're not seeing all of the trees that doesn't necessarily mean that they're not going to show up and in fact it looks like they basically all showed up there it just looks so even and nice and this actually looks almost identical to something I saw on the side of the highway not too long ago and I kind of marveled at how strange it looked see it was pine trees mixed with Maples but uh there we go we we have emulated that little bit of crazy and it looks like I missed a couple of bushes over here so I'll take care of those by hand and I just want to fill things in now and it's going to be super super [Music] simple now it's not perfect everywhere I don't have enough space here and it is acknowledging that and not placing the tree and you know what that's completely fine now there's another thing that you might be noticing about this the most special thing about this the size of these trees mean look at this this tree has 1,700 woods so we're getting darn near a fullsize tree right here which is just outstanding so we now have this ability to do something that honestly I feel should have been in the base game uh then again you know prioritize other things I suppose first but this is something that I think really elevates the game at least for me it makes it a ton better so I'm not going to do this in between every single farm and if we do do it between most of them well we're probably going to go a little more modest we have the opportunity [Music] now and I'm going to be completely upfront with you and say that using this tool has made me realize just how little space I gave some of these and how we're going to need to adjust some of our areas here just slightly if we want to have trees so and honestly I'm motivated to do this because the trees mean that much to me [Music] and I've got to be completely honest with you and say that this has been absolutely awesome so there's uh one other thing about this tool that as I was doing all of this that I realized that's if you go into this and let's say you want a mature oak tree next to this house crl L into here click on this drag just slightly and now you can place one individual adult tree which this is awesome this also makes me think and I might might freestyle for just a moment here I want to create a small apple orchard I think that this could be a really interesting addition to this area so why don't we have one right here a nice view of the apple orchard from the [Music] city we'll have one random house back here and then we're going to take our apple trees control L into here and I think we're going to get these fairly close to one another maybe 15 or so M and then we Orchard oh my goodness then we Orchard and I bet you I bet you we can go even closer with these [Music] wow this is what makes City skylines so great modding and this is also what makes City skylines too so great modding the support of the community is what makes these games so I really hope that official mod support is available soon but in the meantime it's great to have trusted modders making excellent mods extending the functionality of the game and making this the Absolut abute best city Builder that it could be I'm going to get off my soap box and connect this to power because that is a priority probably a bigger priority than me making nonfunctional Orchards and then we'll Place some water pipes underneath the road right where I'm going to place him and now we have the perfect completely nonfunctioning apple orchard love it so much love that love that love that love that now let's do a bit of our terraforming over here before we spray this area with tons of trees and one thing you might have noticed is that there are lots of baby trees around here I think that we've been having some rolling forest fires that I've been ignoring and neglecting so we will have to do something about that very very [Music] soon and I feel like I've done a really good job of increasing the flammability of this area which means that there's only one more more thing left to do and that's take inventory of what we've done with a brief Country [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] tour [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] and you know I don't think I will be trademarking Country tour anytime soon we got to think of a better name for a tour of a rural area rural tour sounds strange but generally this area turned out really really good I'm really excited about this and I want to add more areas like this to the city I am curious about one thing though there's going to be a lot of this and eventually some of this stuff will be redeveloped do you want to see all of this on camera or are you okay with me doing some of this in a stream or off camera let me know down in the comments because I will take your feedback and advice on this one obviously a lot can go into this not all of it's super exciting but it's really important and it certainly changes the economy of the area we are currently in a very good spot we've added a bit of population and it just feels like this just looks reasonable I I just this is what the countryside looks like at least where I live and I love seeing it in the game we do have one more thing to take a look at though and that is our unemployment rate and we are sitting at 4.9% that is a significant improvement from where we were at at the start of the episode and I am really pleased with this and I hope that you
