Creating a SAFE Place to Find Hope

hi everyone i'm devin payne with street hope tennessee and we are so excited to be partnering with the doterra healing hands foundation together we are raising funds to support purchasing the state-of-the-art security system for garland oaks if you're not familiar with garland oaks it's going to be the first long-term holistic care safe home for children that are survivors of trafficking here in tennessee i am so excited to introduce you to our friend matt schuneman and he is a licensed counselor from here in our community and also a pastoral counselor and so he's going to tell us about the importance of the security system for these girls that's right with the security system the main thing that we get to create is safety and i think that safety is so important because it's the bedrock in the beginning of any healing journey for anyone that's been through trauma like these girls have so any trauma informed care out there is going to start with the baseline of safety and so for us if we can create this space that creates an element of physical safety but also emotional safety then the healing journey can begin for them if anybody goes to counseling whether they see me or anybody the first thing a counselor is going to do is create a safe space in their environment whether there's a counseling room or wherever they are they're also going to deal with confidentiality and these are all areas of that physical and emotional safety and how crucial it is for that healing journey did you hear that you can be part of these girls healing journey by giving to this doterra matching grant you are helping us provide a safe space where the healing for these girls can first begin and begin to blossom and so we want to challenge you today we can't do this without you doterra is offering to match up to 15 000 for us to to help us secure the security system and so what that means is that your twenty dollars becomes forty dollars your five hundred dollars becomes a thousand dollars and um no gift it's it's not too small and so we're inviting you to join us on this this journey because we believe that every life is significantly valued and loved by the lord and every person can abound in hope these girls they're made in the image of god and they're worth it and we want to invite you to be part of that journey
