COZY Holiday Evening Routine

[Music] what's up everyone welcome back to my channel today's video is super exciting it's gonna be a holiday slash Christmas evening routine so excited to bring you guys this video finally before we that you see in this video you can find it in the description box so let's go ahead and get start the first thing I do when I get home of course is greet my dog Zoe if you're new here this is my adorable dog Zoe I put on her little Christmas sweater I don't put it on her every day but for the purpose of this video and if we're getting super festive around the house I put it on her I like to think that she likes it so there she is looking adorable and cute on my way home today I actually picked up some treats to make dessert with tonight which I'll show you towards the end of the video you can probably guess what it is by the ingredient and then I always hang up my bag of course and then I do a quick little tidy I always begin every routine with a quick tidy if you've seen a lot of my routine before you have seen me do this same time so I just pick up vacuum the couch there's endless supply of dog hair around so I'm always vacuuming and then of course plugging in my Christmas tree it's one of the first things I do when I get home I just love the vibes and it just brings so much warm and coziness into the apartment once the Sun starts to set which is super early here in New York I always plug in all the lights in the house so I have another set of lights over my bed and then I also have these little candles and I put around everywhere this little cute adorable house I have a little electric candle these are one of the little battery powered ones I found these on Amazon they were dirt cheap and you don't have to worry about like a fire hazard the batteries last forever so I'll make sure I leave the link for you guys if you want to get your hands on them I think it was like five dollars for a pack of 12 or something they're super cute and I just kind of popped them everywhere around the house I also have a set of two underneath this Christmas tree on my dining or my coffee table just some super cute and they light things up and super festive so now I am heading into my bath thing did you take off my makeup for the day I don't know why but as soon as I get home I hate having makeup on once I'm in the house so I like to take off my makeup right away here I'm just picking out what skin care I'm gonna be using I love my Rodale retinol drops they don't dry my skin out and they're great for anti-aging I also have a few breakouts recently so I'm using my glossy a zit stick and then my moisturizer from talk to Harper that I love it smells amazing feels amazing and of course following up with an eye cream here are all the products I'm gonna be using for like my skincare routine first thing I do is of course put my hair up then I'm going in with my Garnier micellar water to remove my makeup I use this for pretty much everything it's great for removing like matte lipstick mascara then I go in with my favorite cleanser this is bypa Knoxville you can find it at Walgreens it is the best best best cleanser for acne prone skin and it's like ten dollars you can not beat it and I also always cleanse with a little brush like this this one's some vanity planet but I just think they cleanse your skin so much better than what you could do with your hands so I go in and give myself a really good cleanse and then my favorite time is the hot washcloth I love it it feels so good and so relaxing and then following up with a face mask this is my favorite one by bold piece or Daisy I love it it's great for acne like I said I've been struggling a little bit of breakouts lately so I apply this mask I'll make sure I leave all these products linked for you guys as well it does have to dry though really well for you to get the full so I applied the mask and then I will go ahead and head out into my kitchen and make a little bit of a hot chocolate so you guys know I love my coffee my hot chocolate cappuccino pretty much anything hot liquid I can get my hands on I love so I found these really cute little packs at the grocery store these little Land O'Lakes they were 50 cents apiece and I wanted to give them a try like that they come in different flavors and I think I'd try them all out so I ended up going with the hazelnut flavor it was honestly so delicious I highly recommend some of the best store-bought hot chocolate I have ever tasted the most like creamy buttery taste it was so good so definitely if you see them give them a try I just pop it in the microwave I don't have time to do it on the stove I just pop it in the microwave for a minute or two and then stirring it up of course I love this little mug that my fiancee got me for Valentine's Day it's so cute and then of course topping off with a bit of whipped cream and then I wanted to be a little bit more festive so I put a couple of red sprinkles on it it's just cute and fun to do something a little bit more special for yourself and then while I'm waiting for the face mask to dry completely I will either like just sit enjoy my hot chocolate watching a little TV right now it's vlogmas so if you're new to my channel I have tons of different vlogmas vlogs so far and right now I'm loving seeing all your guys comments so I usually just answer back to your comments chill out wait for the masks to dry and finish my hot chocolate [Music] once I'm asked is dry it's time to take a quick shower I found these really cute Christmas PJs on misguided I love their pajamas kind of a satin texture peppermint very cute kind of matching shirt and shortened set I'll show it to you in a second but I take a quick shower and then I finish off with this Moroccan oil night body serum super moisturizing and I love it changing into my PJs as you can see finishing off my skincare routine I do my retinol drops first and then I go in with a bit of eye cream and then finishing off with taught to Harper as my moisturizer I love this stuff it smells amazing feels really nice and moisturizing but not greasy my skin tends to get pretty dry in the winter so this stuff is perfect and then I will go in with the glossy a zit stick as the final touch I love that this is just a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide sometimes actually all the time benzoyl peroxide can be really drying on the skin especially for this time of year so just being able to spot treat with this is perfect and here is a full view of my pajamas they're so cute I love them [Music] I thought this moment would never come it's finally time for a little bit of food I wish I'd something super exciting to show you guys but I don't this is generally what I've been loving with the colder months this is the tomato feta soup from Trader Joe's I don't even like tomato soup with this stuff I love it is so delicious it doesn't look like the most appetizing thing but it is so good all that's missing is like a grilled cheese on the side I wanted to save room for dessert though for tonight so by this time the Sun has set and it is time to get super cozy so I light all the candles I love this through the woods one it smells just like a Christmas tree and I really think target candles blow bath and Bodyworks candles out of the water one hundred percent they smell way better they last way longer they're cheaper they're only ten dollars for the big size check them out they're way better I promise you and then this trilogy candle I actually found on Amazon I highly recommend this one it is so relaxing this is actually one of those wood wick burning ones that actually sound like the fireplace like a crackling wood when you burn them here I'll let you listen to it for yourself [Music] so before I end tonight I usually like to do a little bit of baking if my fiancees home will listen to Kristen's music and make cocktails and bake but he was at home this evening so I wanted to put on a little bit of a movie to get some background noise if you guys have the free form app or you can just watch it on regular cable - they have all the best like Christmas movies I love the holiday it's just one of the movies I love to hear in the background while I'm doing other things so I thought that on the TV and then it's time to bake this is a super easy recipe I'm sure most of you know how to make rice krispies treats it's literally just butter marshmallows and Rice Krispies cereal I like that it's easy and it's quick but it tastes delicious so I'm just taking a very generous amount of butter we're not gonna judge the amount of butter we're gonna use on this recipe we're just gonna roll with it it's the holidays treat yourself don't cheat yourself so we're taking some butter in the pan I'm just going to let this melt down and then I'm going to throw a ton of marshmallows into the pan and let those melt as well [Music] okay once the marshmallows are all melted then you just pour in lots of rice krispies treats mix it in very simple I'm pouring it into like a really large pan clearly I did not make enough for this pan but that's okay I'm just going to cut them into little squares and put them on a different pan anyway and then I'm going to top them off with a little bit of buttercream frosting this is how I'm gonna make them a little bit more festive than usual I just sloppily paint on a bit of buttercream luckily I don't cook for anyone else but me and my fiance so I don't have to make it look super pretty and neat but I've saw like versions like four people cut them into Christmas trees there's all types of fun things you can do but I like to take the easy way out I just put a bit of frosting and then sprinkle some red and green sprinkles on them and call it a day super cute festive and most of all very very delicious [Music] finally my favorite time of the day is when I pick out on the couch veg out watch TV my favorite show to binge watch right now is that the marvelous mrs. Mazal season 2 just came out yesterday and it is so so good I love this show it said in the 20s also set in New York City and it's just a really great show if you guys like comedy and Zoey likes to watch TV believe it or not as you can see she literally just lays there looking at the screen I wonder what she's thinking about I have no idea so yeah I just kind of end the night finishing off any leftover hot chocolate eating snacks Gillian was so we and then it's time to hit the hay after I watch a couple of episodes of television here I'm going to finish with a sleep spray I love this stuff it's just a lavender spray from Bath and Body Works I just missed it all over my pillows get in bed of course I do a phone scroll I'm not that cool person who doesn't look at their phone at night it's my favorite thing to do is just scroll on my phone before I go to sleep so I'm putting on this little silk like night mask and then it's lights out so I hope you guys really enjoyed this video let me know what you think in the comments be sure to subscribe if you haven't already and I will talk to you guys next time [Music]
