hi guys welcome back and welcome to another christmas decorating video today we are focusing on my dining room for christmas and i just love this space one of my favorite rooms in the house so i picked a cozy quiet afternoon to pull out some christmas decor and get started in here and before we go any farther i would kindly like to thank ritual for sponsoring today's video the essential for women multivitamin 18 plus is a reimagined multivitamin that gives women nutrients they're likely not getting enough of out of their daily diets it really does fill the gap in a woman's diet to help support that foundational health including brain health heart health bone health and antioxidant support not to mention it's vegan friendly non-gmo gluten free allergen free there are no shady fillers or additives and it has a delayed release capsule design made to be easy on the stomach which i really appreciate these vitamins can be taken with or without food and their scientist and nutritionist formulated usually i hate taking vitamins because they're hard to swallow and i hate the taste but with rituals multivitamin it is a soft gel formula which i love it's super easy to digest but it also has a mint flavor there is no gross vitamin flavor in there tastes like a mint and i love that so make sure you check out the link in my description and use code amy40 for 40 off your first month of ritual and thanks again to ritual for sponsoring today's video i added this flocked balsam for christmas tree from target to this cozy corner in the dining room and i'm so happy that i did i love all the twinkle lights that i can see from the kitchen and when we eat dinner at night it is just so cozy and i know i said i wasn't gonna add red this year but i couldn't help myself i was at hobby lobby and i saw these adorable santa and snowman ornaments and i just thought this was a fun happy tree the kids love the ornaments and it turned out so cute just to kind of balance out that red i did add some white satin ribbon and i just tied it to the tree and i feel like that just sort of neutralized everything and brought everything together another way i balanced out some of that red and sort of neutralized the tree was by adding this white knit tree skirt this came from hobby lobby last year but i believe they still have it in stock this year and it's just so cozy and adds such a pretty texture to the space one thing i love about christmas decor is that you can be as festive as you'd like and for me that means lots of fresh cedar wreaths i love wreaths on windows like i'm adding here to my dining room over the kitchen sink on mirrors or doors you just can't have enough of them i think they're so cute and they add such a festive touch and because i already had two wreaths on the windows i did not want to put another one on my door if you guys don't know we have a second front door that leads into the dining room it's just sort of the layout of our old house and so i made sort of a faux swag i'm taking some fresh cedar and i'm just tying it together with a burlap ribbon and adding a few bells to it i bought this little high chair at an antique shop in the springtime i think and graham uses it sometimes but really he just sits in a big boy chair now and i'm wondering how long i can get away with having this high chair in my dining room since i don't have any more babies which is kind of sad but for now it works really well as a plant stand or a tree stand i just added this target tree to a iron stone bowl and then filled it up with some pine cones and that just sort of spruced it up a little bit um no pun intended there but i love how that turned out and then i have this accordion peg shelf and i'm just hating some cozy white knit stockings so if you have been around my channel for a long time then you know when we lived in our home in georgia we had a white hutch in our dining room that was pretty small so i sold that when we moved and when we moved into this house i bought a buffet that i painted black and i had a lot of fun decorating it the last few months but to be honest i really missed having a hutch so i went on a facebook marketplace and i found this hutch top that fits perfectly on top of my buffet and i just painted it the same color as the buffet which is tricorn black by sherwin williams in a flat finish and i love this piece it's officially my favorite piece in the house i'm having so much fun decorating it in this case i'm just decorating it with a bunch of my iron stone dishes and our china and just keeping it really neutral i love the contrast of the black and white but for christmas i added just a little bit of green too i got this mug tree on amazon and it fits under the hutch perfectly it's such a fun way to display some mugs and everything's just easy to grab and use this is really practical decor because we use it and then i ended up adding a wicker tray i wanted to break up some of the black and the white and add some wood texture so i added a wood tray as well as another stack of dishes that i had i just kind of put the extras on top and i just felt like the hutch needed a little bit of life to the space so i added this white picture and to that i'm adding some faux juniper stems these look very realistic i love them they're a great hobby lobby find so one thing i love to have at christmas time is rosemary topiaries now you can find these at grocery stores or your local garden center or greenhouse i got mine at a garden center i bought several but i'm going to use two here in some red pots i love the red and green and i'm just going to place them on top of the hutch and that way it just sort of makes the hutch look more symmetrical and i love just the little pops of real greenery and red and now to the end chair i'm going to add just a cozy blanket to warm up the space and an adorable christmas pillow again i love the little touch of red this is so festive it's from the mud pie brand into the light fixture i'm adding this simple cedar garland this is a faux garland that i got at pier one actually several years ago i've had it for a long long time but i love how it just sort of softly drapes over the edges and it makes a really pretty statement in here and of course i love the pop of green and since i've had a bunch of cedar on the table i'm going to wipe it down really quick with the mrs meyer spray and the peppermint scent and just make sure that it's nice and clean before i add my table top decor i really wanted my table center piece to be minimal so it was easy to move but still intentional and put together and nothing says cozy ambiance like candles i found this candlestick holder at a local shop the other day and i just thought it was so beautiful and ornate and i think it's a gorgeous brass element to the space overall i'm so pleased with how this space turned out it's just a really happy spot in our home i love the snowman and santa tree and all the little details and i especially love how the hutch turned out so i know that my family and i are going to really enjoy this space this holiday season all right sweet friends i had so much fun
