Couple Renovates 120 y.o NEGLECTED House - START TO FINISH 92 Days TIMELAPSE

this is the story of a Victorian house renovation in the north of England that was neglected until we came to the rescue and did some serious repairments we painted repaired installed new kitchen flooring and bathrooms with gray finishes all done in 92 days join me my husband Omar and our friend Duncan in a complete renovation journey to bring this house from Doom to bloom so this is the [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] foreign this room was permanently blocked and it seems as if the heating was barely on as well the wallpaper lifted from the wall after several cleaning rounds with bleach and anti-fungal treatment it was ready to be painted 24 hours later [Music] good [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign is the most economical way to go when renovating a house but it may be counterproductive we realized there was no contrast and wasn't doing the house any favors as all of its Spirit features looked flat and weren't standing out [Music] [Music] so this is what we've done so far today and then we will be cutting the paint for the hallway so that's very exciting [Music] Victorian houses have many features on the walls they have covings Dino rails High skirting boards so we change our minds I decided to paint everything in color like greens and Grays we chose a very Regal Edwardian colors the hallway was painted with fire and wall elephant's breath yeah that is the name of the paint color [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] the dining room and the living room were painted with a beautiful green color that is strangely called French Gray [Music] thank you [Music] after the first coat of primer it was time to fix some of the woodwork around with Coke to smooth out any omniveness and cover any deep crevices [Music] thank you [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] thank you foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] and the painting was happening downstairs I was having a go at the bathroom the main door and the Wardrobe door had at least four layers of paint on them and looked really tired to get a nice paint finish at the end the layers of paint had to be stripped down as much as possible foreign you're probably asking yourself why not just paint on top but unfortunately the accumulation of old paints and then add a new layer on top will look badly finished the first course of action is to remove as much as you can and then sand it brush all the dust off then use some primer to cover the wood then apply wood filler to any holes and sand it until smooth then use some caulk to diminish the crevices on the panel so the paint doesn't run off another job to tackle was to remove all the crowd of the tiles as they were very moldy and old I got a handheld grout removal but it took forever then I got a multi-tool with a Nifty attachment and it made the job 10 times left here but not some trim good the best way I found to do this is to have I want one of them to be a straight edge and then the other one is Gonna Come On so I'm just gonna place it like this and then I can trace it and then after that I can cut like this on an angle how it's going to sit and then you have to make a 45 degree angle towards the inside cut and then that slots in pretty nice foreign [Music] foreign [Music] apart from the very intricate artwork on the wall this was a bit of a challenging room a section of the world had water damage but nothing that some sanding anti-fungal chemicals and polyfiller couldn't fix [Music] oh foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] thank you I just wanted to show you the way this kitchen looks just before and it looks terrible so over here we got an amazing amount of cupboards I don't think you ever need this many covers in a house unless you're about 15 people in that case you probably do need that many covers in your house oh and then you have a huge fridge freezer and so we're gonna get rid of those we have a dishwasher that is showing nowadays people really like everything to be hidden away and then we have a dish washing machine that doesn't have a door you have this range cooker which looks great but in reality it's a very not very practical you've got tiny over double one tiny oven number two tiny Grill number one and then this is I think it's like um what could be used to be used as a proving oven proven draw so we're going to replace that and there is eight hops you probably only need four So the plan with this kitchen it's going to be to take out all the cupboards we already ordered the kitchen we ended up going with Ren and ren it's a lot better because they are already built they are numbered so for us it's going to be even easier to organize that kitchen we've done Ikea kitchens before so if we can do an Ikea kitchen we can definitely do our van kitchen thank you [Music] foreign what she started the other day which is taking all the tiles out of the kitchen as you can see it's a lot cleaner on the wall now that's because we just bleached it so now I've got to do the tiles around the window and I reckon it's going to be pretty gross because all the wood around there is completely rotten things are going to start changing now quite rapidly yeah keep on watching thank you going lines and sewing with a pencil and then we can see where the oven is gonna go because Alma needs to do the electrics for the oven and we just need to know where things are going to be organized foreign [Music] just like that well done it looks great it's our first row just to see how the towels will behave on the wall luckily well basically what I thought I was just taking the wall length divided by two and then I put some tiles on this side on that side and luckily that have halves on each side which looks right so I'm going to do my first walk I'm a bit nervous because I've never
