check this out guys 1961 40 conor line truck i expected it to be the fan exactly this is great normally when kevin says he's got something important to show me it usually has something to do with me and a budget that i've blown through but in this case he says he's got an econo line he wants to show me so for me bro i'm like come on let me see this thing in 1961 ford debuted its econoline series and it was like nothing they had ever introduced before mechanically was based on the ford's compact falcon frame and was offered as a pickup a station bus and a delivery van as its name implied the v6 engine and manual transmission made the econoline very economically its engine was mounted between and behind the seats giving it a funky mid cab over design the pickup was basically a chopped version of the van with a cool set of wrap around windows that you just didn't see on other vehicles it's pretty darn cool and i'll tell you what else is really rare it's five windows yeah i'm not i'm not used to seeing the five window these quarter windows are rare see how much room there is inside it's massive it's massive there's only one one issue and that's uh whether you're going to keep it or flip it well i mean you just look really good in the showroom i mean people would really really really respect us for having one of these in the showroom you think about that oh man these are really cool well you know i mean i bought it think and flip and we could make a bunch of money on this that's that's where i was headed with this well we did buy it right it's a small market that wants these sport kevin he finds the perfect truck to flip and he knows that i just might not be able to he's worried and he should be if this thing looks as good as i think she will after we strip her down we're either going to have one amazing flip or a beautiful addition to my collection well not to worry we're still going to flip it though or maybe we're going around the corner really fast it might but we'll talk about it talk about it don't worry about it now what we got is a beautiful truck the 61 econoline pickup you're gonna be proud of me i called davey down here to talk me into selling it okay well let me throw you a little bit of a curveball i called steve down because i thought it might be a vehicle he wants and he should be here any second so seriously let's see what you guys all think but that's your brother all right steve this is certainly a surprise it's good to see you brother look at you all right man good to see you you too good wow you clean up nice yeah occasionally okay so let's quickly explain about this let's go talking about it let's look at it all right you're working out you ready you ready to see it ryan come on man just just bring it out let's get this over with let's do it oh just listen to that yeah listen to that cam there's something that oh wicked kevin did the shop a real service when he brought the 61 econoline to us to flip the body was in great shape and when we sandblasted her she was rock solid as ever we welded up the tailgate removed both bumpers and radiused out those rear fender wheels that just make or scream the seven and we put a mean little small block 302 with a big cam in it making this baby ready to rumble ryan worked his magic with an epic dark blue metallic paint job that just gives me the chills man this truck is perfect and today's gonna be a sad day if i gotta let her go wow let me give you guys the tour of the truck for a second as you noticed earlier the tailgate we completely welded it up eliminated the back bumper rolled it all out it's absolutely gorgeous got 1950 oles tail lights frenched in with the blue dots the whole bit these rear fender wells okay grounded yes they're all radiused out you know when these trucks were new you know they were they were much lower and they were almost like kind of flat across the bottom they just kind of chunked up a little bit square yeah they were squared off way to see the inside are you ready for this oh more of the metallic so cool merry-go-rounds when you're a kid they use that material on so yeah it's called zodiac material i mean here come around the other side too where do you see this you get you got this side man it's just it's just even more check this out custom hard tonneau as opposed to snapping it over and look boom electric yeah that is so great my favorite is the paint i love that dark dark dark metallic and it needed to be elegant but knock your socks off 70s it's incredible so you see my dilemma i see it you see yes you see my dilemma it totally totally screams 70s totally screams my high school era it totally screams it needs to be next to my other truck in my garage i think i should own it because it's got all your love love and blood in it you know it's incredible well if it comes over here it's staying over here that's true i would be reselling it you know that i'm all about the money well i'm about the money too because i got to pay bills so where do we begin whoever's got 50 grand i got it 51 52. i'll go to 55. i think that's fair i can beat the 55 but i don't want to make a major war between family and friends man 55 pays a lot of bills a lot of payables i could give you 60. i could still make 10 for my pocket and you guys can make even more money i understand it's friends and family feuding but at 55 it stays in the family but at 60 i make money well here's the deal if we sell it at 50 if we sell it at 55 or 56 000 or 60. have you driven it yet i understand that but i think i mean this is a gorgeous bill right i mean that's another 4 000 i get it right you know all this talk about selling this truck has made me realize more and more that it ain't going anywhere man i tried sorry kevin but the bottom line is i'm keeping it what the heck i guess we're out the only place this truck is going is home with me i'm done listening to him argue man that's it i think he's keeping it
