foreign hey guys I promised some latency testing if I got to play CS2 so here are the results now using the reflex low latency analyzer that's built into some monitors my friend was able to test this before I was now their results showed about 18 milliseconds of average latency in CS go but when they went over to CS2 they were able to get it down to 11 milliseconds and then by turning on high priority 9.7 milliseconds they also tried several other tests where they turned on Vulcan and ended up actually increasing the latency afterwards They removed that command and dropped their Lanes even farther by installing new NVIDIA drivers did you ever think that you can get skins just by playing CS these and many other daily challenges are available at xplay.gg under challenges absolutely free and if you do it for seven days in a row get an extra bonus but that's not all check out the battle pass tab where you can complete tasks to get extra coins and skins from Val and also make your own customskins for xplay.gg with the battle pass you can get more more coins earned quicker exclusive skins X-Play cases more unique challenges extra motivation skip challenges and real valve skins then head on down to the store to withdraw skin you can even exchange skins for your favorite skins in the store and if that's not enough for you and you still want to get skins faster get premium with premium you can get a guaranteed drop of any kind from the store and a system of dropped skins for playing on our servers you can also get 1.5 times more coins for completing challenges follow the link in the description below to receive 500 free coins do this simply perform any three challenges that's x-plate.gg then I started my testing and honestly guys there's just too much to go over here so I'm just going to give you guys the most optimized results first use drivers 531.68 or newer there was a bug in earlier drivers that made it so you had lower frame rates thus increasing latency next put high and launch options this plays the game in high priority no vid does not work now as for the in-game settings I found very little variance between in-game settings and they were not consistent enough for me to say that these actually changed anything with input latency but there were a few that did pretty consistently one of these settings was ambient occlusion which would increase latency by two milliseconds on the highest setting the other one was to turn on Nvidia reflex low latency mode which would lower your input latency from CS go by about half you should also disable super resolution which increased frame rate but increased input latency as well finally anti-aliasing eight times increased input latency as well especially at 800 by 600 resolution where it increased it by up to a full millisecond for my friend this meant dropping from 18 milliseconds average down to 9 milliseconds average for me this meant dropping from 15 milliseconds average down to seven milliseconds average now the only way I was able to get below seven milliseconds is to put an FPS limiter and also lower my resolution to 800 by 600 with no AAA also I tested out different resolutions and the lower the resolution the more frames you get which is probably why the lower input latency I would get now let's talk about Windows settings now those settings are game mode Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling and optimizations for windowed games now the only one that actually led to a performance boost is Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling turning on game mode increased my latency and so did optimized for windowed games as for my Nvidia settings they look something like this now I tested these out and I didn't really get any consistent change with the exception of changing ultra low latency to ultra which is really strange because I thought reflex low latency mode bypassed that oh I should mention I also turned on resizable bar but I didn't see any real change in CS2 in Counter-Strike Global Offensive however I definitely got a negative impact from it and just to make it easy here's a list of everything I needed to change to get the lowest possible latency overall just having reflex low latency mode makes things so much easier because all you have to do is turn on that one option and it'll lower your input latency to about 10 milliseconds oh and there's one more thing I should mention while testing changing resolutions I found that if I change the resolution the input latency would spike and stay up until I restarted the game so anytime you change your resolution make sure you restart the game before you play now I know what you're thinking let's see some gameplay with these settings so here we are oh okay okay top tons now I started off this game trying to play stretched but to be completely honest I just suck with stretched in CS2 I cannot use it like I can in CS go so after a few rounds of getting absolutely destroyed I decided to Simply change it back surely this would completely turn the game around for me I'm not gonna lie it's amazing how much better this game feels for me when I play it non-stretched no the pigment and with that the first half score was all tied up but CT side would be the difficult side because now I'd have to rely on my teammates to hold their positions thank you oh no they juked us this is okay foreign I'm honestly a little surprised I didn't kill a guy with the Scout I know the desperation play of pushing with the P2000 wasn't a great idea but I really thought I'd be able to aim a little bit better than that lower thank you I don't know what it is about this game and it never really feels like I have a lot of kills until I look at the scoreboard I think it has something to do with me being able to be more consistent in this game uh-oh it all comes down to this we either need to win this round or we lose what's up man up or anything no he's gonna be car or tunnel okay diffuse and with that we tied the game I hope you guys found the input latency test enjoyable and helpful this game really does feel far more responsive than Counter-Strike Global Offensive did overall I'm really enjoying this game I hope you guys enjoyed this video and can't wait to see you guys and see us too
