corporate needs you to find the difference between these two life skills okay well at first glance they do seem pretty similar they're both crafting life skills which means we take materials that other life skills have produced and turn them into useful stuff in cooking we make food and Alchemy we craft Elixir what gives but they're actually different in quite a few ways and these differences are especially important to know when you're looking for a life skill to start out with so I want to give you some PR and cons to help you decide starting with cooking on the pro side first leveling your cooking and making some money early on is fairly easy we've got easy starter recipes like vinegar or the fa pickled vegetables that are great exp and let you level up quickly and you can get the material super easily from the vendors or your note Empire and the best thing is you can then take the meals you have produced and already start generating money on your very first day of cooking you can do that through Imperial crafting with where you pack the meals into boxes and sell them to an NPC for silver if you do that every day you get yourself a steady stream of income and once you level up more and reach Guru you can even take this up a notch with the higher TM ra boxes where you're going to have many ingredients and some more complex recipes but also more profit and that's where you can go out and gather all of these materials yourself and that brings me to my next Point cooking goes well together with so many life skills we've got processor farming Gathering and hunting and hunting is especially important because I would say it is the most profitable life skill in the game right now and it goes Super well together with cooking and finally cooking is a great life skill for boosting your contribution points the way this works is you produce byproducts through cooking which you can then turn in for contribution points more contribution points means we get to pick up more worker notes for passive income and we get to hand in more Imperial boxes so getting contribution points through cooking is a great way to boost your money-making potential for the long term but cooking has one major downside cooking Imperials are a great way to make money but on the flip side there is a limit to how many of them you can turn in each day and if you want to make money beyond that especially if you want to combine it with other life skills then you're going to have to get into Market cooking and boy oh boy the cooking Market is rough if you don't have the Mastery to back it up you're going to be competing with all of the sweaty high-end cooks that have maxed out gear and levels and can afford to list meals for way cheaper than you can if you're just starting out so unless you're down to invest a ton of time and money into your cocking level and gear you're going to have a hard time finding profit on the market now for Alchemy that's going to be a bit different starting out with the first pro when it comes to money-making and Alchemy if you want to play the market you can do that at a much lower Mastery Point than you ever ever could in cooking even if you have very little gear and are not the highest level you can already start making comparable money to what you could make with maxed out gear and levels that's just because icy Mastery is way less impactful than cooking Mastery and second iamy has certain hard to get materials we call them bottlenecks and if you get your hands on these materials you can make money where other players can so it can make a ton of money with very little effort and just by liquidating materials that you get through other parts of the game like from farming or your n Empire you can cash or big on these materials and finally a small thing more towards convenience iony recipes just tend to be lighter than cooking recipes that means you can get away with less weight and you can go AFK for longer in alchemy you can usually go AFK for about an hour in cooking you're going to be refreshing your tool every say 5 to 10 minutes in the worst case so in that sense alemy can be a lot more convenient than cooking but iomy is not without its downsides so first and this is a major pain point for many icemist iamy Imperials are a total joke so NPC money is basically not a thing in iamy and to make money you're going to have to interact with the market which in and of itself can be a downside to some players and it also means that you're going to need to run a value pack and second Alchemy as a life skill is pretty much defined by its bottleneck materials the so sometimes you'll see a super profitable recipe you check the ingredients and boom a trillion bottlenecks so often times you'll find that Alchemy recipes are locked behind other life skilles like farming or gathering now obviously that means if you know how to get these bottleneck materials efficiently you can make a ton of money but they can still be annoying for especially newer players since many recipes are locked behind these bottlenecks all right and with that it's time for the conclusion now if we're talking Alchemy versus cooking for someone who's just starting out with life skills then I would say cooking is a lot easier to get into it's easier to supply materials and you can already start making money at a fairly early stage and most important making money is not going to be dependent on the market and I would say Alchemy is probably a little bit better fit for when you already have some experience with life skills and you know how to navigate the market because I think where alemy really shines is if you want to play the market that means getting your hands on these bottleneck materials to cash them out but either way I think both life skills are a lot of fun and I would definitely try them both out if you get the chance and if I get you interested in cooking or Alchemy and you want to learn more I'll link you some resources down in the video description in any case I hope this video was helpful and I'll see you in a future video take care
