few weeks later and the twins have now had a small operation to insert four tissue expanders which will be pumped up at regular intervals using syringes full of water the extra skin will eventually be used to cover the wound after separation so what we've got here is we've got our first tissue expander in here and this is where we've been injecting this isn't it and then we've got two in their tummies one on this side and one on this side and again we've been injecting those there and there at times it occurs to you that you're putting them through an awful lot of trauma or whatever um I've never changed my mind um I've never once questioned why I'm here
