Confederate mass grave at Shiloh

I'm here at Shiloh battlefield and what we see in front of us is one of the five known Confederate mass graves on the field and we'll go up here and get a closer view of it and the marker out front is was placed here in 1935 by the United Daughters of the Confederacy and then there's a marker behind it think it dates think it's more than a hundred years old one of the many historical signs here there's six hundred a little more than six hundred I believe most date - between 1900 and 1908 they mark historical locations locations of batteries regiments etc they're very very cool I'm also told that the trench is probably bigger than a concrete outline here and the other trenches that I've seen here at Shiloh are marked by large cannonballs this one is not and we'll take you around this side and again these are there are five known Confederate mass graves here at Shiloh in Tennessee and Shiloh is one of the really great battlefields to walk if you ever get a chance to come here make sure you have your hiking shoes and be prepared to do a lot of walking it's really a great battlefield to visit this however is a solemn location on the field one of the five Confederate mass graves here at Shiloh the battle was fought April 6 April 7th 1862
