so I warned you we are going to talk about the land of Israel and the lies concerning the land of Israel and so if you're already offended I suggest you leave now when it's less embarrassing okay let's pray father I pray for your help I pray Lord that I would speak as you would speak to us that I would simply be an Oracle tonight I opened my mouth and you deliver your word Oh God help me get out of the way Lord if there are any misconceptions that I have any deception that I may have concerning this matter Lord that you would stop me from saying anything that would bring confusion doubt or lies bring your truth into this room I pray in Yeshua's name Amen you know there are lots of preachers that come up to a pulpit with great confidence I come to the pulpit every time with butterflies in my stomach and I I have a great fear of opening up the Word of God and and fear of God that I might not in any way distort what he would say to us so please pray throughout the message all right we're continuing our series called the truth behind the lies the truth behind the lies and so I'm going to be talking tonight from Ezekiel 35 and the first 15 verses of his akio 36 concerning lies about the land of Israel although Israel is a tiny speck on this planet Israel gets proportionately much more news than almost any other nation on the globe the population of Israel less than 1% of the world's population but disproportionately people know about the people of this land frankly even among believers worldwide there are misconceptions about Israel and especially concerning the Land of Israel Jesus once told Peter that because he couldn't accept the truth that he must go and suffer and die he said to Peter get thee behind me Satan now we know Satan is the father of lies jeremiah says that the heart is deceitful and so even believers can at times fall into deception we have a responsibility to undercut under uncover the deceptions of this world Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter five verses eleven and thirteen and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light so tonight I'm gonna shed some light from God's Word on the lies about Israel we're gonna look at Ezekiel 35 it's really a two-part message I can only do part one tonight and if I ever get a chance to preach here again I'll do part two part two we'll be concerning the lies concerning the people of Israel tonight concerning the land of Israel before we read about the land let me give you some background to help us as we read these portions to understand the context all of chapter 35 of Ezekiel is God speaking to a prominent nation that has historically hated Israel they are the they are the descendants of Esau the lived mostly south of the Dead Sea on both sides of the Rift Valley as descendants of Esau it appears that the have never yet to this point forgiven Jacob or Israel for taking Esau's blessing in Genesis chapter 27 verse 41 we read Esau hated Jacob on account of the blessing God speaks a message of doom in Jenna in ezekiel chapter 35 to this land of the because their inhabitants have had an eternal hatred against israel you will read about that in a few minutes in chapters in chapter 35 verse 5 to 9 Mount Seir which is a prominent landmark mountain among the attempts to destroy Israel by the sword as a result it will be slain by the sword measure for measure in verses 10 to 15 God refers to mount seers attempt to take over the Land of Israel when Israel is most vulnerable when Israel is desolated God having heard Mount seers blasphemous boasting at its joy over Israel's desolation will in turn cause Mount Seir itself to be desolated then we'll read from chapter 36 in chapter 36 1 to 15 God speaks to the Land of Israel just as he spoke to the land of Edom to the mountain of Seir here we're gonna see that God speaks mostly to the mountains of Israel but he also speaks to the the ravines and the rivers and other parts of the land but primarily to the mountains God assures the physical land of Israel that his people Israel will repossess that land and then that land will experience greater blessing and fruitfulness than at the beginning so having that in your mind we're gonna now read the text so it's a long portion we've already had a long torah portion that was phenomenal thank you arete wherever you are but we're into God's Word aren't we so let's listen beginning at verse 1 is equal 35 moreover the word of the Lord came to me saying son of man set your face against Mount Seir and prophesy against it and say to it thus says the Lord God behold Oh Mount Seir I am against you I will stretch out my hand against you and make you desolate I shall lay your cities waste and you shall be desolate then you shall know that I am the Lord because you have had an ancient hatred in the Hebrew it is a MOT olam or eternal hatred hey vato Lama I should say and you have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity when their iniquity came to an end therefore as I live says the Lord God I will prepare you for blood and blood shall pursue you since you have not hated blood therefore blood shall pursue you thus I will make Mount Seir most desolate and cut off from the one who leaves and the one who returns and I will fill its mountains with the slain on your hills and in your valleys and in yours ravines those who are slain by the sword shall fall I will make you perpetually desolate and your cities shall be uninhabited then you shall know that I am the Lord because you have said these two nations and these two countries shall be mine this is a reference to Judah and Israel and we discover that later in Ezekiel therefore as I live says the Lord God I will do according to your anger and according to the envy which you showed in your hatred against them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you then you shall know that i am the lord i have heard all of the blasphemies which you have spoken against the mountains of israel saying they are desolate they are given to us to consume thus with your mouth you have boasted against me and multiplied your words against me i have heard them thus says the lord god the whole earth will rejoice when i make you desolate as you rejoice because the inheritance of the house of israel was desolate so i will do to you you shall be desolate o mount seir as well as all of Edom all of it then they shall know that I am the Lord so God ends his speech to the mountain of Seir to the land of a dome and now beginning at verse 1 of chapter 36 God will speak to the land of Israel especially to the mountains of Israel and you O son of man prophesied to the mountains of Israel and say o mountains of Israel hear the word of the Lord thus says the Lord God because the enemy has said of you ah ha the ancient heights have become our possession therefore prophesy and say thus says the Lord God because they made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and you are taken up by the lips of stalkers and slanderers and slandered by the people therefore o mountains of Israel hear the word of the Lord God thus says the Lord God to the mountains the hills the rivers the valleys the desolate wastes and the cities that have been forsaken which became plunder and mockery to the rest of the nations all around therefore thus says the Lord God surely I have spoken in my burning jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Adam who have who gave my land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and spiteful minds in order to plunder its open country therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains the hills the rivers and the valleys thus says the Lord God behold I have spoken in my jealousy and my fury because you have borne the shame of the nations therefore thus says the Lord God I have raised my hand in an oath that I surely surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame but you o mountains of Israel you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people Israel for they are about to come for indeed I am for you and I will turn to you and you shall be tilled and sown I will multiply men upon you all the house of Israel all of it and the city shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt I will multiply upon you man and beast and they shall increase and bare young I will make you inhabited as in former times and do better for you than at your beginnings then you shall know that I am the Lord yes I will cause men to walk on you my people Israel they shall they shall take possession of you and you shall be their inheritance no more shall you believe them of children thus says the Lord God because they say to you you devour men and believe that your nation of children therefore you shall devour men no more nor bereave your nation anymore says the Lord God nor will I let you hear the taunts of the nations any more nor the reproach of the people's anymore nor shall you cause your nation to stumble anymore says the Lord God says the Lord God a lot of what I shared tonight will simply be what the Lord says with very little commentary of my own the first lie a bit about Israel that I want to share with you tonight and I have four lies and we're gonna find the truth behind those love lies is this God's kingdom is spiritual and therefore the Land of Israel is no longer relevant now this lie would appear to be backed up by Yeshua himself he says in John chapter eighteen verse 36 my kingdom is not of this world my kingdom is not of this world but I want to want you to note a very important detail in what Yeshua says he does not say my kingdom is not in this world he said it is not of this world in other words Jesus kingdom rule is not according to the principles and the ways and the thinking of the world but it does not mean that his rule does not include the earth the land Revelation chapter 5 verse 10 says that Yeshua has made us kings and priests to our God and we shall reign in the heavens no it says and we shall reign on the earth we will Co reign with him on a physical land but Yeshua's kingdom includes both heaven and the physical earth and we know that when God created the world and when he and Krait had created the earth and all that is in it he said it is good and it is very good many of us as believers have been influenced by Greek thinking where there is a dichotomy between the spiritual realm and the earthly realm the material realm is temporary and we are really stuck on the earth until one day we will be delivered from our bodies we will be able to just be souls or spirits but that is not what the Bible teaches at all in fact God says the material world is good now we have made it bad in some ways by pollution and by the shedding of blood on the land and all of these things but in and of itself it's good because God made it it's his creation could you say amen to that the reality is that heaven will come down to earth yes we go up but we will come back down we read this in Revelation don't weigh about a heavenly City that will descend to the earth it'll be a new earth but it's still the earth it'll be transformed in some mysterious fashion but it still will be material it will be the earth in these 30 verses that we've read our text from Ezekiel 35 and 36 God speaks not to people the entire passage that we read God is speaking to the land he's speaking to mountains rivers ravines interesting isn't it you would think the land was alive well parts of the land are alive God seems to have an interest in land so he speaks 10 times to concerning mountains four additional times to a particular mountain Mount Seir in these verses God addresses the hills the valleys ravines and rivers but that's the Old Testament some would said and of course now we're in the New Testament age and we're in a time when those things that were historic of the Old Testament now are being replaced with something more ethereal something more spiritual and though these things regarding the material world are no longer significant since Yeshua came really in the book of Revelation John peers into the future revelation 21:1 says and now I saw a new heaven and a new earth now that we know that God is spirit so it may seem strange contradictory that God who is spirit would care about a physical land but not only does God care about this land in particular the land of Israel but he wraps up his own identity as Adonai as God with this land strange look at what it says in our text verse 12 of chapter 35 of Ezekiel it says God's speaking to the land of the he says I have heard all of your blasphemies which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel isn't that a strange thing how can you blaspheme mountains let's go on saying they are desolate they are given to us to consume thus with your mouth you have boasted against the mountain snow against me and multiplied your words against me I have heard them God is saying that anyone who boasts against the land that God has promised is actually speaking blasphemies against himself why because he has wrapped up his own identity with a piece of real estate now that baffles the human mind but that's what the Word of God teaches I fear for those then who mock and despise this land in doing so they are blaspheming faming the God of Israel the God whose has attached his name to this holy land this land that has been separated unto God for His purposes now if you believe the first lie that will lead to the second line the lie that God's kingdom is only spiritual has nothing to do with land or the earth if you bought into that lie then you'll naturally believe this which is seeing that the land is no longer important to God then Israel should simply give away the land or at least pieces of the land for peace and then we will have no more war in this land how many of you believe that okay the problem with this idea is the fact that the Land of Israel first of all is not Israel's exclusive possession and therefore Israel would not have the right to give away the land to anybody this is what we read in Ezekiel 35 verse 5 our text therefore thus says the Lord God surely I've spoken to my burning jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom who gave my land to themselves as a possession who gave my land how can Israel including the government of Israel give away land for peace if it's not their land to give God calls it my land isn't that the ultimate in presumption to think that they can take what is God's and give it away but then someone will say yes but doesn't it also say that the land belongs to the Jews so in that sense they do possess it and therefore they can give it away hasn't God given the land as an eternal possession to the Jewish people and it's true verse chapter 36 and it's just beyond the passage that we're focusing on tonight but I need to say it say this verse 17 of chapter 36 we read these words son of man when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land and throughout the scriptures we find that kind of phraseology that it is Israel's land or the land of the Jews in fact this is interesting it's in the New Testament I I don't know why we don't hear this verse quoted but I I've been studying the book of Acts very intently and I came across this verse and I don't know how I've ever missed it before but listen to this this is in the New Testament age this is post crucifixion resurrection ascension this is the new era the spiritual kingdom of God listen to this Peter in the context of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles Cornelius and his household in Caesarea says these words in acts 10 39 and we are witnesses of all things which he that is God did both in the land of the Jews and Jerusalem not even the Land of Israel in the New Testament says this is the land of the Jews interesting so there is a sense in which the land is both the Lord's land and it is also the Jews land maybe they are co-owners that's a possibility at least we can say that Israel has a lease contract with a landlord and in that contract it says you this is your place to live in and I won't trouble you I won't suddenly open the door and enter your space this is your space but it's really his apartment or it's his house so in that sense at least there is a partnership in relationship but surely no tenant has the right to give away his landlords house so as the world puts pressure on the government of Israel to trade land for peace when God is really the owner would be presumption of the highest degree but let's just imagine for a moment just imagine for a moment that God would suddenly allow Israel to give away pieces of his land to pacify Israel's enemies would an estate be established on this same land in the areas of the mountains of is real which is primarily the West Bank let's just imagine God would say yes we should have a state Ezreal should have neighbors that have their own sovereignty in those mountains would the war end well this is what God says in ezekiel chapter 35 verse 5 concerning the land of the descendants of Esau because you have had an ancient hatred avut olam and eternal hatred so establishing a state in the mountains of Israel when there is an eternal hatred against the people of Israel I can't imagine that the war will end it's been going on a long long time Prime Minister Netanyahu said this in 2006 and this might be the most controversial thing I say tonight but he said it I didn't say it I'm not telling you I agree with it but listen to what he said the truth is if Israel were to put down its arms there would be no more Israel if the Arabs were to put down their arms there would be no war God's kingdom is spiritual yeah but it's also material the Land of Israel is still important because God has wrapped up his own identity in a piece of real estate a land which is called the Holy Land that has a holy city in it where God has placed his name forever in that city God's whole identity is wrapped up with what happens on this piece of land line number three Jerusalem should be an international City for the three great religions it should never be the exclusive capital of Israel this is what much of the world is demanding this is the rational human solution to the problem of Jerusalem the world would like to think that there are many ways to worship and there is no exclusive God that every knee should bow to but God speaks to the land of one of Israel's main adversaries in our text in Ezekiel 35 verse 10 saying because you have said these two nations and these two countries shall be mine and we will possess them although the Lord was there although you'd hey Bob hey the exclusive name of Israel's God the Lord that's what it is in the original Hebrew not just God but I don't I do Dave Ave he was there the point of the text is simply this there is an exclusive God that is worshiped by a special peculiar people who dwells in Jerusalem so the world saying that there really are many gods or many ways to climb the mountain to God or there are many gods and da-da-da-da-da the Scriptures tell us that there is only one name Adonai you'd hey Vevey in the Greek letters that inexpressible name of God exclusively to the people a nation of Israel and those who were grafted in among them he dwelled in Jerusalem to make Israel an international city and all the faiths come to Jerusalem to worship whatever God or imaginary God that they believe in would be a desecration of the place where God has put his name and where God dwells you follow the logic here he is not the generic God he's not the same God that Muslims worship let me just put that lie too this is an extra lie for tonight okay the lie that says the God that Muslims worship is the same God that Messianic Jews and Christians worship what is written inside the Dome of the rock on the place where God's temple stood talk about an abomination what does it say God has no son so the god that Muslims worship is a God that doesn't have a son is that the god you and I worship absolutely not Jerusalem is then the capital of worship it is the excuse of capital of worship to the one and only true God Adonai the God of Israel the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob not the God of Abraham Ishmael and Esau but it is the God who has a son whose name is Yeshua and the only name under heaven by which we can be saved that's what we're talking about tonight so let's internationalize the city but let's make it the place of worship for all the great religions of the world I can't think of a worse abomination and desecration of the name of God who is the one and only one that we serve the United Nations General Assembly committees in New York voted a few weeks ago on at least nine Israel opposing resolutions including two that ignore any Jewish ties to the Temple Mount and refer to this area by its Muslim Arabic name al Haram al-sharif the noble sanctuary the world is attempting under the inspiration of the devil himself to detach Jerusalem from any Jewish context and relationship UNESCO the United Nations educational vegetation --all scientific scientific and cultural organization has officially declared that the place were God the God of Israel was there has more connection to Allah than the Lord God of Israel you'd a love hey I like what the International Christian embassy has done in the past few weeks they've been sending out emails I've had several of them encouraging people to get a Bible highlight all the scriptures in the Bible referring to Jerusalem as the place where Jewish people have worshiped and continued to worship and then send them all to the UNESCO office let's just use used human reasoning for a moment forget the Bible for a second just use human reasoning just for a moment the Quran the holy book dictated by God to Muhammad right now at a single mention of Jerusalem in the entire dictation and yet the claim that it is Islam's third most holy site now UNESCO if it's only their third most holy site and it's the first holy site of Israel you are trying to say that this holiest of places where the temple once stood is the noble sanctuary of Islam little rational thinking to deny any Jewish connection with the temple is to deny the Gospels for it says in mark chapter 11 verse 27 then they came to Jerusalem and as he that is Yeshua was walking in the temple the chief priests the scribes and the elders came to him I ask you are these priests scribes and elders all Muslims certainly the Jews had something to do with a temple and Jesus Yeshua himself was in the temple and it was Jewish believers that Acts chapter 5 verse 42 says and daily in the temple and in every house they did not cease teaching and preaching Yeshua as the Messiah let me tell you how God feels about Jerusalem Zechariah chapter 1 verse 14 and following says so the angel spoke with me and said to me proclaim saying thus says the Lord of hosts I am zealous for Jerusalem he's not just doesn't just like Jerusalem like some of us nice yeah it's pretty nice I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease for I was a little angry and they helped but with evil intent the point is God was angry with the Jewish people but the nations that hated Israel went far beyond what the discipline that God wanted to give in order to bring his people back to himself you went over the top and I'm angry with you then verse 16 therefore thus says the Lord I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy my house shall be built in it says the Lord of hosts there are some lies out there concerning this place God's kingdom is spiritual therefore the land of Israel is no longer important no no God created the earth God will bring heaven to earth God's name is attached to a particular piece of real estate on the earth seeing the land is no longer important to God than Israel should simply give away its pieces of its land for peace and then we will have no more war I don't think I have to elaborate on that Jerusalem is an international City for the three great religions it should never be the exclusive capital of Israel there was only one true God and his son's name is Yeshua there was no other name under heaven by which a man must be saved but Yeshua the Messiah there is only one city on the earth there is only one city on the earth that is called throughout the scriptures the holy city the city of the Great King and Jerusalem will be once again the worship capital of the world worshipping not three gods or thousands of Hindu gods but the one and only true God here o Israel the Lord our God is one hallelujah one more lie it's not over yet I know it sounded like it okay because Israel has not accepted the Son of God as their Messiah then they do not deserve this land the fact is no one deserves this land is there another nation that deserves it more certainly the enemies of Israel are not more deserving than the Jews God says to the land of the descendants of Esau in ezekiel 36 verse four and five in our text listen to this therefore or mountains of israel hear the word of the lord god thus says the lord god to the mountains the hills the rivers the valleys the desolate wastes and the cities that have been forsaken which became plunder and mockery to the rest of the nations all around therefore thus says the lord god surely i have spoken in my burning jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom who gave my land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and spiteful minds in order to plunder it's open countries do you think Edom or israel's immediate neighbors and enemies of israel are more deserving of the land than israel God seems quite angry with these enemies now the Jewish people are not perfect certainly the government of Israel is not perfect and this is one of the problems with presenting a message like this is I'll be put in the camp of those who think that Israel can do no wrong and Israel is put on a pedestal and people put their head in the sand and they just believe the lie that Israel is perfect now if Israel is perfect then God would not be able to demonstrate the war to the world that it is by grace you are saved it is by God's mercy that he gives good gifts and bless his people so Israel is actually a demonstration of the grace of God towards sinners now did God get caught off guard at the beginning God promises to the children of Israel that they will leave Egypt they will go to a land where they will worship on a holy mountain he promises them a land of milk and honey right and and and he's chosen and set apart this nation these wonderful people he's promised a land to them because they're so good and so godly and then God gets caught by surprise they get into the land and then they forget God and they begin to serve other gods and they they shed blood in the land and then God has to cast them out oh man if I had only known that from the beginning I would never promise this land to them let me dispel that notion listen to this it's a profound passage Deuteronomy chapter nine verse four and following saying to Israel before they cross the Jordan into the Promised Land just before Moses is there giving them final words and he says this to Israel do not think in your heart after the Lord your God has cast them out that is the Canaanites out from before you saying because of or the amorite s-- and other i'ts in the land saying because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me in to possess this land but is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out before you it is not because of your righteousness or your uprightness of heart that you go in to possess the land but because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you and that he may fulfill the word which the Lord swore to your father's to Abraham Isaac and Jacob therefore understand that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness for you are a stiff-necked people before God ever promises in the land and brings them into the land he already knew they are a stiff-necked people so if gotta renew they'd be stiff necked and today there's a certain stiff neck admits to a degree in certain parts of this country if he brought them in knowing that's the way they are then does he need to drive them out at this point or at any point now this passage reveals two reasons why God gave them the land as an eternal possession that was promised to all their forefathers the three main forefathers Abraham Isaac and Jacob the first reason is because the God of Israel promised this land to them now abraham believed God and was reckoned to him as righteousness so in some ways you could say that Abraham was a righteous man right and God promised a good land promised land to a righteous man and the reality is that on the basis that Israel was founded and its progenitor its forefather was a righteous man then in some ways you could say they get to have the land because of his goodness I like to bring that into a New Testament context and say this that we get to experience the blessings of God not because you and I are not sinners and we're righteous before God but because of Jesus because of Yeshua's righteousness and because what he did on the cross by being our atonement we get to experience the blessings that he brings to the world in the same way this principle has already been played out where Abraham a righteous man is promised a land so it's not Israel's present goodness or badness that's the issue is that God has promised this to their forefathers for their sake on their account now I want you to know this and most of you do know this but you have to understand that unlike other covenants in the Old Testament for instance the Mosaic Covenant where God says I will do this if you do that if you obey me then I will bless you if you disobey me I will curse you there's one covenant it is not bilateral it is unilateral it is unconditional and it is the Covenant concerning the land how do we know that turn with me for a moment to Genesis chapter 15 so a bit of a lengthy passage but this is a key passage and it's it's so fundamentally important to us Genesis chapter 15 verse 6 and following sorry first five and following then he that is God brought him that is Abraham outside and said look now toward heaven and count the Stars if you were able to number them and he said to him so shall your descendants be and he believed in the Lord and he accounted it to him for righteousness then he said to him I am the Lord who brought you out of ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to inherit and he said Lord God how shall I know that I will inherit it so he said to him bring me a three-year-old heifer a three-year-old female goat a three year old Ram a Turtledove and a pigeon then he brought all these to him and cut them into down the middle and placed each piece opposite the other but he did not cut the birds in two and when the vultures came down on the carcasses Abraham or Abram drove them away now when the Sun was going down a deep sleep fell upon Abram I want you to note this a deep sleep fell on Abram and behold horror and great darkness fell upon him then he said to Abram know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs and will serve them and they will flick them for hundred years and also the nation whom they serve I will judge afterwards they shall come out with great possessions now as for you you shall go to your father's in peace you shall be buried at a good old age but in the fourth generation they shall return here for the iniquity of the amorite s-- is not complete and it came to pass when the Sun went down and it was dark that behold there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between these pieces on the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram saying to your descendants I give this land I've given this land from the river of Egypt to the great river the river Euphrates the key nights the kena sights the Cadman nights the Hittites the perizzites and Rephaim the amorite the Canaanites the girgashites and the jebusites so Israel's possession of the promised land has little to do with Israel's goodness or badness it has to do with God's promise it is unilateral and how do we know that when you go into a contract with someone an agreement a covenant which is unbreakable and if you break it you're going to be broken and that's why those pieces are cut and that's why two people walk between broken pieces or split pieces of meat as a demonstration that this is serious business we're doing if we break this covenant we're gonna be dead meat that's basically the point who walks between these this row of pieces Abraham is asleep God himself has a burning torch a fireball himself goes through making covenant with Abraham without Abraham having anything to do with this without making any promises to God God promises to Abraham this land how many of you know that God is faithful even when we're faithless that God is faithful even when we're asleep God keeps covenant Israel today is far from perfect but if you really want away the evil of Israel over again it's present neighbors then I think it's not difficult to see who is more or less deserving of this land we don't see many Jews going around the world killing innocent people for the sake of some cause and for the sake of this land that they want to possess when Israel defends itself it sends leaflets from the sky warning people to leave their homes or institutions where Islamic radical terrorists have set up rocket launchers Israel is one of the first nations to send doctors and rescuers to nations around the world that have been devastated by earthquakes or hurricanes or other have to make a comparison if you have to put it on the way scales who should be living in this land the bottom line is it's really not so much about that but at times you have to use human reasoning like Paul would say you know now let me just deal with this matter in the natural let me just reason with you a little bit here so I'm doing a bit of that but ultimately this is the reason the Jewish people have this land as their possession it's about the one true God who has sovereignly declared to your descendants I have given this land like it or not you could say that's not fair well who are you to say to the Potter why have you made the world like this this is his sovereign will and plan the specific lie is because Israel hasn't accepted the Son of God as their Messiah then they do not deserve this land so really it's unbelief in God and his son but the reality is this that while Israel is not worthy of the land and yes most of Israel has rejected his son to this point God will make them worthy of this land yeshua has come to have mercy upon repentance sinners and when we receive Yeshua as our Lord and Savior God clothes us with the righteousness of Yeshua and he makes us worthy to receive all of the promises that he has given he loves us so much that he won't allow us to keep doing what we're doing he loves us so much that he won't leave us the way we are when God promises goodness to us he will somehow have to make us good but it won't be our own goodness but it'll be the goodness of Yeshua the goodness of God and so we have this promise in Romans chapter 11 verse 25 and 26 I would not have you ignorant brethren and isn't so much of the church ignorant I would not have you ignorant brethren of this mystery it's a mystery I can't figure this thing out but if I could figure out God then maybe I could be God I would not have you ignorant of this brethren the blindness in part it's only in part has come to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in then all Israel shall be saved the deliverer will come out of heaven no deliverer will come out of Zion and he will take away ungodliness from the world no ungodliness from Jacob for this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins this is the covenant keeping God that we're talking about now if God does not keep his covenant promises to Israel concerning their land then the rest of us who were grafted in among Israel and part of the Commonwealth of Israel who were promised heaven how can we be sure that we will get heaven unless we know that God has given the Jewish people earth and the remnant of Israel given heaven as well oh god his such a mystery but how many of you trust this mysterious God tonight how many of you believe what his word says not what the preacher says tonight but what His Word says concerning these matters God will save Israel not because Israel is so good but because Israel so desperately needs God and God has pity he's a merciful God he looks down and he sees brokenness and his heart wrenches and God sees the people that he especially chose to be his special treasure the apple of his eye and he sees them not yet in their redeemed condition and God says I can't go on any longer they're never gonna be good enough anyway I'm gonna come down to Zion first I'm gonna send them my son and those who will receive him will immediately come into the kingdom of God and they're gonna get to heaven soon and and then I'm gonna come again and I'm gonna get the rest of them and I will come to Zion and from Zion I will save my people Israel let's pray God we put our trust in you we don't put our trust in our own human thinking Lord our heart is so easily deceived but Lord your word is true your promises are true your covenant is eternal we thank you that you've you're keeping your promises to Israel therefore or you we know you're gonna keep your promises to the rest of us and Lord we just declare that you are good that you're a good good father who wants to give us a good land and a good heaven and earth and a good eternity with you where there are golden streets and there are mansions or pretty fancy rooms that you've already gone ahead to prepare for us because you love us with an everlasting love Lord if there's anyone in this room tonight who does not yet know you have not yet bowed their knee to you and said you are Lord the one and only Lord and God that tonight will be that night and if we confess with our mouth the Lord Yeshua as Messiah and that he has been raised from the dead we shall be saved if you'll put your trust in him he will rescue you from this earth and he will bring earth and heaven together for you and you will be with him forever and ever and ever and ever and if I added a million Evers it wouldn't be enough Evers amen you
