hello friends today we are going to discuss about how to compute land surface temperature as well as ndvi ndwi in qgi's environment within short period of time so friends as you know that land surface temperature is widely used indicator of surface characteristics that is being used for carbon heat highland study as well as soil moisture analysis and many more ways so we required just here landsat data as well as we have to use this qgis plugin where you will find ra gis plugin that you need to download from this manage and install plugin so here we are opening this rhis plugin in this plugin there is raw data input where you have to select either compressed file or extracted files of landsat 8. data as well as you can find this folder containing extracted data folders so i am selecting this compressed files folder here you have to browse i have kept this on desktop so this is the landsat data folder where this is the compressed landsat 8 data that i am going to open in this software at the same time you have to check this for landsat 8 data exclude if you want to exclude the clouds then you have to check this cloud as well as serious database at the same time you have to check all these blocks because it is it will convert top of atmospheric reflectance so i am going to check this is all checking is essential then what you want to have as an output derived this is the tcc true color composite image if you want this then you have to check this fcc false color composite this i'm going to check ndvi normalize difference vegetation index ndwi as well as set at satellite temperature and lst in celsius so as this way you have to check all these blocks so that you will have full benefit of all these things then you have to just press this start processing button so i have pressed this one see this is the flow chart of the operations that this software is going to be performed browse of the if browse the files to process select the area of interest you can select the area of interest so that it will click the output according to the selected shapefile select all the desired outputs here i have already tell you select give some extra detail required and start processing so see what we have processed here you will find all these processings that are going on behind the software it will take a while because all these things software's software is going to check see this is process radiance computation has been completed satellite temperature for its satellite temperature has been computing and the packet process this has completed it will take at least 30 seconds for normalized difference water index computing false color composite image true color composite image ndvi computation of ndvi is going on okay time required for the complete completed process 3 minutes 39 seconds and here it is ready to go again okay then i'm just closing this button and for the adding output i'm going to the same shop same file this is the lancer data folder and this folder has created by the software so here is the extraction that is done by the software you may see these all bands have been extracted and here is the out full full output folder where just i'm just enlarging this brightness temperature brightness temperature of band 11 fcc lsd of band 10 lsd of band 11 ndvi ndwi and tcc this i have selected here i'm going to add this look at this this is the true color composite image this is ndwi which is fluctuating from 0.5 to 0.6 0.0 minus 0.68 let it check this my applying symbology see this is the array bnc and these are water bodies which are present there at the same time ndvi we are having here this is the water and the water bodies creeks and crevasses you may see at the same time lsd of band 11 that is fluctuating from 46 to 45 46 to 22 sorry this is the lst of band 10 let us symbolize this one look at that this blewish portion is showing higher range of land surface that is about 50. so friends as this way we could compute all these parameters with the help of this ra gis plugin in qgis environment at the same time we are having fcc sorry i haven't select this one so thank you for watching this video
