you yeah I could read loose on it he got her done I think you got a lot of sky some rust on the bottom of the cow right there at the bottom on that side it ain't too bad I got to putting a sheet metal I fixed that back section we've got just a little bit of rust on the bottom of it I mean it ain't bad probably I do nothing to that we've got some of those stuff here I can use I don't know but some of it my kin I just got back from a steel yard got two sticks or two but three 3/16 rectangle frame rail and took this ohpa Cho rust inhibitor what it does is converts to rust back in the middle but I sprayed that on I got this straight ISIL for my buddy a side of a to Ford f-100 so I got my 8.8 exploder RiRi in here defender tubs glad to be cut out what I'm gonna try to do we're trying to do is cut them out and move them up I could put some wheels the spacers and move wheels out and the one he had to cut the tubs but I don't want to I want I don't want the wheels sticking way out or like I'm just like the or okay guys I got my trailer spring it's gonna go on the front still waiting on the hangers to come in for that you got them a brake kit for a Speedway hey Bo what raise this shop floor look cleaning up for you yeah what's good looks good you get good that burglar might really come out of a pizza - forward f1 pickup truck trim the mounting tabs awkward a leaf spray is mounted originally board some holes in it okay one suicide straight I slip front end okay one rat rod hot rod brain I cut three inches out of straight so it's the inch and a half narrower bound and the rear which is what I'd rather had to start with known as actual I could it like there and then I will tour the quarter-inch plate on this side and on the other side remove the rear fender Wells up about six inches and actually you can't you let that be it like that if that's what it is made to go to start with as far as I must eat the yellow for now I just want to double-check my measurements so we're good still got foot three threaded in on it they're gonna use a tie rod ends on there on any end still gotta make just put the shock mount on there and a spring mount sprayings gonna be about right there well I've been after for a couple of I guess a couple weeks on this front suspension of course not full-time but I probably got 50 60 hours in the fabrication and all this stuff grunts man but I got it done that's a lot of parts right there a lot of cutting grinding welding cut it again grind it again weld again and repeat until you get it like you wanted it or you get tired of fooling with it but I got it like I wanted to not know that's what I was looking for up there that's the vision I had so dreams come true you just got to work at it a lot of parts a lot of parts but I think we're gonna I think we're gonna be all right ain't gonna work fine if I get on and jump up and down and moves a little bit when I put that motor engine and transmission in there this ship work fine should be want the axle to be about say might does that bar across the front of chassis so it'd be by 2 inches lower so that enters the transmission hopefully it dropped it drop it down a couple of inches on that spring and that'd be world wanted at all right what I'm about to do here I'm sitting up the mold to pour this liquid rubber make these bushes already done then these are done now I got to do the other two so what I got I got some washer with some grease on it and I got me inside piece the grease serves two purposes one it seals it so the rubber won't leak out the bottom and it's a release agent so the washer come off easy but I gotta set that on there it's gonna look like this and all I got to do is pull the rubber in we've got to get these lined up dead center something like that get up lined up mix rubber up pour it in you got a set 24 hours for you use it this is sick it's just yesterday evening about 6:30 it's it's already hard but it's not real real firm yet I guess as firm as rubber on the tire when it sets up for 24 hours so this is got people hours to go before I can actually use it yeah I would be showing you dis about a new it work but that 454 rant recon I built all the bushings poured all the bushes on the rear suspensions price suspension every bushing is motor mounts all the everything has got rubber bushing that's what I use right here do it with and then I hadn't had no trouble with that so that's reason I'm showing it is because uh seems to work okay for rat rods I don't know if it worked for like the everyday driver I don't know how long it would last but that there's oh 2015 I built that and we hadn't had no problem yet and what's gonna happen these are springs off the rear of a 98 Mustang is what these are and they were mounted on the control arm about half way kind of like what I got here so we're gonna see their work but they're gonna they gonna sit on that purse there and mount uppers frame and beings I'm not a rocket scientist to be able to calculate exactly how much spraying compression and variance sag and tire rubbing on the fender and all that calculations I got me a big piece of one inch all thread what I'm planning on doing this is rigging up some ways which is all threaded to make adjustment on this spraying sucking there's just a rear end up and back in it up and down got the rear suspension done way except for a shock mount so I don't had a shock mounts on yet but I got pretty much the rest of it got my adjustable Springs so what you all you want just when the car goes up and down the rear and stay level so getting this point all the rest of the points is not a big deal these last two points is you got to find a sweet spot and wait up and down to hook this where Jesse goes all the way down red level every chance comes all the way up we're in level that's the trick and as you can see I got it we're transmission I mean red state level this variant you can do this and it's trying to elevate it see I can do that what's a parallel for length it won't do that very rigid it won't do this very little it won't do holy any and you got to have a panhard bar on a parallel floor length to keep the rear end Center triangulated you don't have to have panhard bar and then you got the rim do this so you can't go side to side with it [Music] Motors engine he's gonna have to go back a little bit more I don't have the rear springs in it right now got it kind of stationary it ride-height got the bike the shocks mounted all right let's now look at how to build them he is out like that sure we got that one off got pretty good stance got it the front a little bit lower than the back which is what I want they should both look the same they posted same signs why don't you look the same yeah good point ready I guess I might take off front of our base their brackets fixed in control or make it look good the up these people on that ball [Music] [Music] one little tiny box that firewall way too high you want to drop the other thing it's gonna look better with that firewall a drop down means building seats a lot of lot of cutting well a lot of cutting a welder right there all right well I got here I've got three pieces of number vampire straight down mystic and I win on this end together I'm planting up in a vise these pieces and I choke up in the drill so I've got a spread of the can see what happened [Music] not perfect but it's close enough [Music] [Music] put the seed in there let's sit in it and uh I could chop three inches of still have four five six inches well I still have plenty of headroom I'm slow chop 3 inches off the top yeah I'm sure there's many ways to chop the top but I'm gonna show you how I'm gonna do it I'll run me a string well first I'd done running strange Center this is where it's gonna come together at right turn so I've got that all the way around and I drop the string down the inch-and-a-half because I'm gonna chop 3 inches I drop straight down inch and a half and I used this measuring tool would go all the way around make sure I'm exactly inch and a half Bloedel the more so I'm gonna take my yellow paint spray that line go around and then I'm a Buddhist ring up inch and a half above line do it and painting over line good top line first take the top of the core off and then imma come back and cut the bottom line choose the candle dead middle because of square it's part sucks should be I'll drop that down and it should match up here not so much because the front door is tapered gets wider at the bottom there is at the top so no matter where I could it it's not gonna match up perfect so I'm gonna cut the top I'm gonna cut that and down here make three and cut three inches out up here at wedges I have to release from there up to fix where it don't match it's not going to be perfect and this piece here I'm just gonna cut three inches off the top of that and go with that Hey all right top chopped looks good I just got it stuck together I've got it tight and yellow just got the doors hanging on there uh I got two gotta make a few adjustments get things fitting better but fits pretty good not too bad for redneck got some oh just must do their gotta get that straightened out get these these hinges they wasn't it hard to make wasn't that bad I got the door latch this is my handle so yeah he just wasn't that bad a couple pieces here and there we're a lot of pieces but uh that's freeze to make not much of a problem at all so I got the rijal steering box here I'm gonna clean it up take the shaft out take it apart and get it mounted I will mount it in the firewall hopefully I want to mount it in the firewall clean truck yeah cut the shaft y'all know me I'm not scared to cut nothing gonna have to be cut sooner or later anyway got the steering boss mounted up in the cow come piece of angle iron well to the frame we got two nuts tacked on the bottom side the floor snow coming on top of this so this is a guy be able to come off because I want to built a scab off the frame when I get the cab out frame i weld me a couple more plates here brace that up a little bit it's what it looks like on the inside I don't have the nut on the pitman arm yet but when you turn the steering wheel wheels turn I still got a pillar block bearing just going on this shaft and it's gonna be a probably it was one by square tubing going across that pit that bearing a boat to to brace this up still may have to brace this I don't know yet but I think this pillow block bear and I hold anything from going sideways and up and down but that's what we're gonna go with it right there you see I got my new steering arm made made that looks a lot better so yeah we come right along we got steered now we've got a steering wheel made spiderweb steering wheel don't have to dash the end yet of course not a bent piece of one inch square tubing to match the curve and this tack that in [Music] works great no problem it's an ease brake pedal so I've been working on a brake pedal I've been working several hours on the getting a brake setup I've got to master silver mounted I've got a couple Bryce's I guess it's got a tag and I'm gonna weld it up got the transmission mount bid hook a transmission the motor exactly where I want it I've got it leveled up I got the bottom plate motor mount bolted in this goes here what what I got here I got that number nine wrapped around this center piece to hold it centered hold the center so I get it welded up and then after I get it welded up I could take this apart pull that out wire out and pour a rubber in there to have a rubber mount okay got this bolded in just this piece this is last piece you got to have in order to make this work and pull the engine out back in motormouth bits know that is the way I build them I got the motor exactly well walnut and I got the bottom part of the mountain top part amount so now I got to do is put this in get in the right spot there and weld er up and then I could take the mount back out for the rubber end let it set 24 hours and a motor motor mount be done but anyway just got to read about a poor radiator melody cutting me a couple pieces angle iron will to the chassis and then the motor to readers that I stuck stuck some of my parts on but eyeballing swap meet on the engine so we can see what's gonna kind of like look like I got a love many alternator and it's gonna me out right here somewhere you gotta make brackets to mount that - yeah I got some headers I was going to build headers and I got looking on ebay rat-rod header is on eBay and these here showed up for like a hunter t8 bucks I said man I can't even buy the stuff to build them for that as usual I'm going back a bunch of small pieces and put them together to make this shroud it'd be a lot easier to try to do it all in one piece so I got my first piece cut out there I got a piece of 3-inch I actually pieced the drive shaft tube is what that is I'm gonna used to being the edges there so let me Bend that one put in place would get started what a guy got my tube clamp to the table there here's my tools piece of sheet metal it's gonna be the top piece of course I think I'll be that wide I'm gonna trim it I'm gonna trim it off after I get it shaped up you're off still got to trim it up I got a lot of work to do to it but it's starting taking shape that's right in the crowd looking pretty good and uh I've been on the nanny fresh air on the room on the break I'll show you what I've done next now take the hammer get looking something like that then I've got me up my press I got this is just two piece of angle iron one against the other this is my press this is my break before I bought that other break is matter of fact it's what I used to make to these pieces for the full pitch war rat recon is right here you put that in there kind of like so flip it over what'd she end up with is that rigid real rigid can't hold bend it I mean it ain't gonna being easy now the backside there but don't look so great but you can see kind of see how I made it each one of those little little grille pieces I had to tack each one line it up when I'm done put me a piece of quarter-inch plate middle between these one and pulling will one time put the quarters plates pulled other one to it and tag it she got him all kind of uniform for solids gonna be painted black rub the silver so and ticket was silver but yeah I just got it stuck together just matter of fact I got two headlights I just stuck to the glass lenses only headlights cleaning them up just stuck them on there I got a some round 3/8 stock threaded ends and made my brackets walk it on the firewall first thing I do is cut me out of template I do one side cut to pieces one one side what brother the good news is that template fits both sides so once I cut it out for one side it works old both sides yeah I got her a fitting pretty good rolled me some B's in it just got to the maintenance hole into the place right now I gotta cut the whole firewall out and then weld that one hand okay working on the floor boards breeze the colorful boards is back when this car was built the used boys will floor okay so by far the most complicated piece I had to make so far a sheet metal it's all the way on the front transmission tunnel around the Bell House and pork tear and first thing about it when I made a template the pit closed kind of rough it in that wasn't easy in itself but we got there then I cut out a piece of metal and as you can see it don't spit flat down all the way around so what I did took my tool here then lay around and marked it in the first hole in the 1st hole right there more flour around so now if I cut it on that market bit flat then when I get spitting fat on the table that means that a bit flat in the firewall that's what I want go around like that scribe to okay we're going to scribe to house here's curve so let's get the scribe to market see I got some magnets here hold this in place so I'll put the pencil in that hole okay if I cut it on that line shove it over it bit that's my access for the master cylinder put some screws and that I had and weld these these pieces down yet because I still got it they could they already out there playing pits I want to get two seats mounted and build a shifter and so I don't well these in yet until I get two seats mounted so I can get on there easier if I need to and then here the floorboard just piece of shifters gonna be there somewhere so and Misha pieces I've got this rounded edge gonna say boy just put that bent a little bit of time little bit here a little bit there a little bit there back and forth to you a little bit of time and you get it [Music] no shifter a little old simple simple simple stuff as well to the nut to this one by square tubing and uh run as a bolt into the bottoms out and use washers on each side of the chipper just shim it to get it tight just finish the throttle just a early 60s Falcon 65 66 Mustang same designs that I [Music] just got a piece of wire on there now make sure it works but anyway yeah it works fine works fine then I've been working on the way she'll frame building that build the frame out is 1/2 inch square tubing I could one side of it out with a cut-off wheel and a grinder to make a channel then took flat wheel and put an air smooth it all up and this here's 18 gauge sheet metal I cut some half inch strips to that kind of what looks like this here comes a part these screws so a glass company could put the glass in you take a couple of screws out and this top piece comes out and they put your glass in and then with the urethane a policy around it and put this piece back in there like so business comes proof that uh goes futile when it's tubing got battery box made a sport little battery now have a compact car so he's owner cranking amps 650 cold cranking amps simple strong battery box what we got all right got the battery box in here what I'll have two bottom boats in but I'm gonna head take it back out anyway the pan so let's hit the battery go in there I've got the dash panel cut out I took it rolled up about a quarter-inch this edge usual way with fliers since this curve since it's curved we couldn't put it in the in the break so I took the pliers bend it up and the a big old piece of iron and the hammer and what reason I've done mash nice rounded edge on the bottom which is going to be exposed so we've got a light smooth edge on the bottom there it comes the hard part - panel yeah it's looking hot ready to play in switch we've got a amp gauge all pressure gauge works educated fuel gauge I got that hitter piece fixed now now some bother gum probably bring it back to about here so it have a little bit of roof on the front then let it hang over six inches or so [Music] take out of Sun Visor did now we got tears but anyway I got using a piece that didn't work making something like that because I got to have a way to mark this hole so I shaped this up to fit this all right obviously is cut out flush and look something like this is that the old forward exploder out there let's go back a cap to hold a light bulb it's covered in a couple screws to hold it in so you could take it off that quote you don't have to be a good welder you just have to be a good grinder go see it from the side or the back then those people finished it out and I could have top inch and a half longer and roll it over he's like he would do a door skin when it is there this panel patch panel here a little complicated but be droll first and put it and break and bend this over a little bit more and put it or break and Bend this little bit now put it over my leg and make this little being a little bit right sir [Music] haha lighten up follow I make those memories runs around terror okay I'm ready to break it down and paint it with our fell down [Music] I need to paint another batch but I don't have no place to hang them up and set on the paint them so what I'm gonna do got the frame suspension stuff together got that did I got some more parts paint stripper scrape it would scraper then wipe off the excess with a rag and hit it with the wire wheel on a side grinder and that's what you got look that I was wanting because of all the pitting in the middle see it's bad back here commercial performance coating so that's where we act and be done with okay I got I'll install the calipers and they'll boded some little tabs these lines they're gonna come in with a tee here because Lance coming from the master cylinder and it's got ease that one in that one so I got to put a line across here with teeth on the rear brakes got the calipers install brake lines made some little brackets to boat there to hold that made a little tab to hold that another bracket to hold this one so I got put get a break line couple of them this one over there so what I got where I've done went done got on eBay and order me a brake light kit comes with 25 feet 3/16 brake line and all these fittings a bunch of fittings and I'm just using a cheap tubing cleric hip cheap cutter there and a cheap tubing bender you see how well made piece of number 9 wire to to hold this brake lamp plus I'm gonna run the wiring harness all right guys got the engines built parks come in quicker than I thought they was gonna come in so what it looks like when you cut the ridge out and whole new cylinder the ridge is gone so yeah if you're gonna do a rear end you gotta cut that Ridge out skint crank chef from Speedway okay ready to install the crankshaft cam is in there it's a lot easier to put the cam in first check out this rain yep I don't know but you see you tonight but it's 19,000 got the heads disassembled cleaned up and he looked real good window burn Bowers little bent BIOS no no problem valve guides is not wore out so now I got to do laughs in the vials put them back together like the Falcon when I rebuilt the transmission on it I'm not going to video rebuilding this transmission because I don't consider myself the transmission builder where my soak it down with this loser they won't take a heat gun and dry it out [Music] [Music] like that all over the whole car when I'm done I went picked up the windshield from the glass company you know you guys say I built the windshield frame brought it to the glass cover then I put a piece of laminated glass in it come from here three feet over here won't beat up magic bar to this marker should be five feet so three four five [Music] yellow paint [Music] the most important thing is to get to get your 90 and make sure it says 90 degree right here you got to have these lines square then you want to take a plumb bob through your mark home chassis and line it up put the mark on the floor front and rear line up the back plumb bob [Music] next thing you want to do is hang the plumb bob on rear end on each side and put your mark on the floor [Music] then the next thing you want to do take your ruler or tape measures or something measure with and measure from this line to your mark okay here I got two and a half inches [Music] okay this side got two and a half inches I got lucky didn't have to do anything at work first time but if you look two and a half inches then I'd use this bottom has just this to get it just even we won't do you want the same measurement on both sides and we want to do the same thing with the front these adjustments right here then I can go up and back to get the front axle lined up 7/8 inch on this side I got7 made an inch on that side so we've got lucky with the front and the rear it's already lined up imagine that well yeah that's how you square your car up by turkey I get it square now if you don't have a plumb bob you use a square it's my flat square it might be easier for some people see I'm lucky these times got it a little line right down the middle or several and so what I'm going to do I'm a hooker tape measure of one of these grooves and measure just laying on the other tire laughter now come on the rough side do the same thing hook it on that second crew okay no problem turn is right here seven handbag 57 7/16 in the professed American front row about 16 Tholian or a things I like sitting things myself [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] the taillight see here wired up take care a panel man pop riveted from the outside firewall and I've got my fuse panel man oh don't worry and two relays and I got room for full more relays if I need a my own narrow thing I hear we're gonna need a rat right Fred all right [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] them dang spiders been at it again let me show you what they done went done this time they didn't come in here made put spiderwebs on both four door panels both of them suckers but hey they did leave me a little cup holder a little pouch put stuff on both sides man I guess they sitting back there in a day time hiding out watching me taking notes see it how I do stuff and they fairly come do it like item on it with that cup holder in that pouch in there so hey I might put them on the payroll yeah Bob aside spiderweb door panels Maj Matt yeah I don't work 16 ounces that'll be enough [Music] you know that'll work right through touch up that's so what's so great about this kind of paint job it's so easy to touch up just spray some black on let it dry brother silver over [Music] I like then that's kind of cool I like that one huh wonder where Bob put them peas at oh oh here they are you ready Falls [Music] [Music] [Music] okay big nasty spiral there she is and she's big she's big [Music] some of you guys probably already know the story Charlotte's Web I hope you guys enjoyed this video as much as I enjoy bill in this car because hey I really did enjoy it and I think it turned out pretty good pretty good Charlotte's a good car so yeah appreciate you hey I'll put it down in the description i'ma put a link to the playlist of the entire build of this car it's like 86 plus videos in the links in our description so if you want to see more you welcome to it appreciate you [Music] [Music]
