Complete Guide to Armor Crafting | Conan Exiles 2021

what's up everybody and thank you for joining me for another video my name is wac4863 but you can call me whack in today's video i'm going to dive into crafting with the armorers and we're gonna go all the way through everything that has to do with the new armor system and the new crafting system since update 2.3 so the first thing that i want to cover is the armor specializations here and just the armors in general we're gonna look at what they can do when you're crafting with them so here i've got a light wrap and i crafted light wraps with all the different armors so this one was crafted with no armor and we can look at the stats the armor value is eight the durability is 290 and the weight is 3.94 if we look at the wrap that i crafted with the tier 1 armor you can see the armor value goes up to a 9.3 the durability goes up to 302.2 and the weight goes down to 3.87 with the tier 2 armor the armor value goes up to 10.7 the durability goes up to 314.4 and the weight down to 3.81 if we look at the one that i crafted with the tier 3 armor you can see the armor value went up to 12. the durability went up to 326.2 and the weight to 3.74 now the specializations is where you're really going to want to be all named armors are going to have a specialization so gur leg biter for example is a shield right and then if we move over we have a scout right and we have a temporite now all of these different specializations are going to inject different stats into your armor so it's important to know what those stats are so we'll start with the shield right and if we look at the armor value you can see it's 17.6 the durability is 354.4 and the weight is 3.74 now the shield right specification injects more armor value into your armor so if you want more armor value you want to get a shield right armor if we move over to the scout right you can see the armor value is 16 the durability is 326.2 and the weight is 3.19 so the scout right armor is going to give you the lowest weight it's going to have the biggest weight reduction out of all of the other armors if we move over to the temper right you can see the armor value is a 16 the durability is 390.1 and the weight is 3.74 so the temper right armor is going to give you the most durability out of all the other specifications now here's a handy little thing that i actually found on the wiki and i will link the page that i found this on on the wiki so that you can get over there and check it out but i'm just gonna put it up there so you can see it you can pause take a look at it dive into the numbers it's really good it's going to tell you exactly what each armor and specification does to your armor now i'm going to give you two pro tips about your armorers first of all you want to put them on your tinker's bench and you unlock the tinker's bench at level 12. what this guy is going to allow you to do is make the legendary repair kits and also you want a blacksmith ready to go on there as well because that can make your legendary weapon repair kit now if you haven't watched the video i did for blacksmith crafting i will link that in the top right hand corner of this video so you can get over and check that out the other pro tip that i have for you is actually the tanner's table so if we come up here to the tanner's table if i throw a tanner on there you can see i don't have any new recipes on there so we'll take the tanner back off and i'm just gonna show you with a tier one here you get these two recipes so this is stitch where you can make the heavier hide and then this is weave where you can make the silk and you can do that with a tier one armor or above if we put any of these guys in there it's all going to be the exact same recipes so it doesn't matter which one you put on there it's going to be the exact same recipes but you want to have an armorer for your tanner table and you unlock the tanner's table at level 10. moving on down the list everybody is familiar with this bench this is the armorers bench you unlock that at level 10 it's going to have all your standard recipes on it now let's touch on the purge thralls and the purge recipes if i take this armorer off of here you can see i lose a whole bunch of recipes if i put this one on or i put this one on or i put this one on you can see all the recipes are the same so there is no flawless or exceptional in the game anymore however all the recipes that you would get if you had a purge armor are now injected into every named armorer that you find on the map so that's really cool you don't have to worry about finding a specific armorer to make a specific armor anymore they can all make all the armors so let's move on to the improved armors bench here it is you unlock it at level 30. this is going to give you access to all the recipes that you can have so this guy is only going to give you access to the low level recipes nothing epic in this guy this one will give you access to not only the regular recipes but you'll also be able to make the epic recipes with this one so keep that in mind this one is also going to give you a speed boost so it's going to craft faster than the regular bench so this bench is going to be the slowest this bench is going to be a little bit faster and it is also going to reduce the amount of resources needed in order to craft these things so if we just look at the bear pack you can see it takes one light padding and 22 hide if i make it on the improved if i come back over here you can see it takes a light padding and 30 height so you do get a reduction in cost and an increase in speed of crafting while going to the improved armors bench and again that's unlocked at level 30 now so i definitely recommend crafting that right when you get to 30. now another change that's happened is that there are now only paddings instead of having a helmet padding a leg padding a chest padding all those different paddings that were there before now you only have one light one medium and one heavy and then obviously they're perfected you have one light one medium and one heavy so if you accidentally in the past had crafted two helmet paddings and you only needed one that second helmet padding doesn't have to just sit in there forever you can actually use these paddings on all of the different armors so if we take a look here it just uses a padding and hardened steel if we look here a padding and silk so all the different things will use the same padding moving on down the list to the campaign armors bench now the campaign armors bench and the garrison armors bench both of those are unlocked at level 56. the campaign armors bench is going to give you the faster crafting so if you want to craft things quickly or faster than you can on the garrison bench at least this is the bench that you want the campaign bench is going to cost you more resources but it makes up for it by saving you time the garrison armors bench is what's going to give you a reduction in resource costs so if we look at the aquilonian infantry helm you can see it's one padding 22 iron bar and 10 hardened leather if we go back over here to this guy and we look at the same thing it's one padding 45 iron bar and 20 hardened leather and then if we go all the way over here we can check this and it is one padding 33 iron bar and 10 hardened leather so the garrison armorers bench is going to give you the most for your resources so you're going to use the least amount of resources and gain the same armor and again i'm going to make this side note if you're playing on the isle of sipta and you are crafting any of the armors that require eldarium they take a long time to craft so if you are resource heavy you might want to think about crafting them on the campaign armorers bench now one of the things that has been asked a lot over the process of getting these updates and the changes to the armor is a flawless and exceptional is now gone and is the armor that you can craft now as good or better than flawless or exceptional so what i want to show you here is this is what i got on my console version of the game so this is a flawless hyperborean slaver the durability was of 4 680. the weight was 76.54 i got nine bonus attributes in strength and the armor value was 431 now let me show you what you get if you craft just the regular hyperborean slaver without a thrall this was crafted without a thrall no thrall armor is 720 and you get a bonus of 5 in strength it has 70 490 durability and the weight is 85.06 if we move over to the shield right armor this is the one that gives you the most armor value the armor value is a 950.3 it gives you a plus 10 in strength the durability was 9152 and the weight is 80.08 moving over to our temper right this is the one that gives you the most in durability the armor was 864 and we got plus 10 in strength the durability was 10 074 and the weight is 80.8 moving over to the scout right the scout right armor gave us 864 armor and obviously plus 10 in strength the reason why it's plus 10 in strength across all these armors is because they're all named if you used a level 1 level 2 or level 3 armor it will increase the amount that you get over just crafting it with no armor going back to this one though the durability was 8426.2 and the weight was 68.89 that's almost 21 points down from the other armor so if you're playing the game in a way where you want to be able to carry a lot of stuff you want a good armor but you don't want to just use up your encumbrance by the weight of the armor the scout right armor is going to be the way to go because it's going to give you the least weight on your armor now i want to know in the comment section below which armor do you think you're
