Good evening. We're going to start with breaking news updates out of Monroe County after an alleged drunk driver crashed into the Swan Boat Club in Michigan where a child's birthday party was happening yesterday. The crash killed two Children and injured over a dozen more are Laura San live at the scene where the community has now started a vigil for the victims. Laura, what else can you tell us yesterday's events left a gaping hole not only in the side of the Swan Boat Club, but in this tight knit community so far, we've had people coming down the road coming to pay their respects. Flowers, teddy bears and crosses are all on display in front of the now barricaded wall. Earlier today, I spoke with a father and his daughter who live on this street and he tells us that as a parent, he could not imagine the loss that these families are going through right now. He told me that normally the Newport area is a very quiet neighborhood and that this event has shocked this community. No. Um I don't think words can actually describe, you know, it's gonna take years of to come up come back from something like this. If it's possible, you know, it's just, it's so sad, you know, that to even try to think about that so far, the woman in question has been arrested and taken into custody by the Monroe Sheriff's County Department.
