Coming into Victoria River Downs Station

coming into Victoria River down two hours back [Music] getting their poison now the country saw that is absolutely spectacular you have to make them right jump lay bottom of that mountain trying the Downs Roadhouse which is just here on the left and go over the bridge this is a new bridge it was built a few years back the low-level bridge which is just below us with always getting planted and trapped in the town cannot get like rebuild the bridge this is Victoria River Roadhouse I'm part of the Victoria River down station as you can see it's really quite a beautiful area there's a lot to see around here timber Creek's another probably about a hundred caves up the road which is where my grandfather put the road through from a front of timber Creek which we will be going through but this really is a spectacular place you can come here you can stay there's a motel plenty of accommodation lots of wildlife around they do have helicopter tours also it's got a pub inside it's really quite a nice spot I've been here a number of times and believe me so Victoria River Roadhouse definitely put it on your bucket list it's a it's a place you must come and see I came here quite a few years ago and I camped here and I went into the pub and I met few of the local aboriginals some of the ringers and stationed hands a really good people really nice people genuine and hard-working and one of them actually remembered he was an old bloke he was probably back then he would have been in his 80s I suppose Aboriginal ringer and he remembered hearing of my grandfather so he was well known around the place and it was quite famous for some of his work around the area so this is obviously under new management good to see they got a sense of humour Victoria River Roadhouse now open under new wife so there you go
