okay everybody in new orleans fun town i know your stories jeff i i i've been to mardi gras once i would say it's a great time to do everything to do once you know what i'm saying but uh i'm too old for that now but if you go go to johnny's po boys shop it's just on iberville just off decatur fantastic sandwiches there and also to go to new orleans grocery get yourself a move for leather that's really good too but i am not a tour guide well i guess unless we're going to tour the wondrous nature of the weather and that's what we're going to tour right now we're going to go down a lane where we talk about a beautiful forecast i like that and we are going to be looking at some sunshine today we're starting off a lot of starlight out there beautiful stuff as we look out onto downtown and here's another shot onto downtown you can see we have 27 degrees with the wind chill factor right now at 22 and yeah the winds are not terribly strong but there's a little bite to the air with those winds all in all though not a bad start to the day temperatures pretty close to where they should be for this time of year for our lows and for our highs as well so pretty average day out there we have sunshine in the forecast i like that so we have temperatures across the area in the mid to upper 20s and low 30s again wind chills giving us a little bit of real field temperature it's a little cooler than that but the next 12 hours with your hour-by-hour forecast looking like this we drop a few degrees should bottom out in the mid 20s it looks like we're going to bounce back to about 28 by 9. 35 by 11 we end up with a high of 46 this afternoon and you can see a lot of sunshine out there throughout the day a couple of clouds sneak in as we head on into the afternoon but all in all looking pretty good we still have one flood warning to talk about this is out in cashockton near the muskegon river on although a lot of that waters had a chance to recede we're going to get a chance to really dry out this week we have this small chance for a few flurries maybe a quick mix on thursday don't think it's going to add up to a whole lot really though the next best chance for any widespread really inconvenient weather is not going to be until this weekend saturday night if not even sunday so good news on that front we have a chance to dry out because it was pretty busy last week you can see your satellite radar imagery looking pretty good very clear we widen out and we have clear skies pretty much as far as the eye can see so get out there and enjoy it today looks like it'll be pretty nice more sunshine seasonable as we head on through the afternoon we will see things that are not quite as chilly out there tonight so dropping down to about freezing tonight not into the 20's and we are tracking the 50's very soon should get there tomorrow and on wednesday a little cooler on thursday but we actually have highs in the 60s before you know it too on that 10 day forecast now this is one graphic if my kids are watching first off go back to bed it's 4 48 you need to get your sleep having said that they're not going to like this graphic because they like this warm weather my kids are watching they can see there's some cooler weather as we get on into the second week of march just on our doorstep looks like we are going to see temperatures that are going to be a little bit above average towards the tail end of the 10-day forecast and then as we get on into the middle of march we got the good potential for a little bit cooler weather so we're going to be keeping our eye on that also above average precipitation as well so keep tuning back as we track that part of the forecast let's get to your hour-by-hour forecast for the day 38 degrees at lunchtime not bad some sunshine out there we top out right around 46 that's in town we're looking at some temperatures down in the far south in the upper 40's to right around 50. a couple of clouds again sneaking in as we head on through the day we'll see some passing clouds overnight we'll call it partly cloudy to mostly clear temperatures by midnight down to about 37 and then as we get into the day tomorrow looks like we're going to be warming back up into the 50's we should top out around 54. so enjoy that so we have today a lot of sunshine tomorrow we have a mix of sun and clouds but 46 today 55 tomorrow 57 on wednesday again small chance for a few flurries maybe a quick mix on thursday that's still kind of up in the air but will be cooler 47 on friday really the next big chance for any widespread weather is going to be late saturday into sunday we've got showers could see a few rumbles of thunder we'll be watching that but temperatures up into the 60s on saturday and sunday 55 on monday now this part of the forecast will likely change a little bit so keep tuning back throughout the week but after that gets out of here those temperatures will be a little closer to normal as we top out in the upper 40s to right around 50.
