i had never tried anything like that before mike and it wasn't bad at all i think to be honest it would probably be better with real meat i'm just going to say it well probably but that impossible meat tastes really close in some circumstances and while yes it's not exactly meat it is still a great substitute especially for vegetarians and vegans i am a fan and today is a good day to stay inside maybe do some experimenting in the kitchen because we've got a lot of snow on the way we're already starting some to see some lake enhancement across the cleveland metro area we won't see that here in central ohio but still a good deal of moisture out in toward fort wayne indiana that moisture heading our way to the south southeast some heavier snow showers up near mansfield but now we're starting to see this heavier batch move across madison county so hilliard you're going to be seeing some some of that very shortly as well so let's zoom in on that one little pocket of heavier snow right along u.s 40 there crossing into franklin county so grove city you're up with that two and then grove port into canal winchester within the next 20 minutes or so but let's head down 33 even more light snow in nelsonville now that is pushed into athens and down into the ohio river region of meigs county but out in newark a couple flakes flying that's about it otherwise we are starting to see that the road is a little wet thanks to some pre-treatment that the crews have done an excellent job doing 28 in newark right now because shockton at 23 zanesville is there as well 25 in columbus bucyrus sitting at 23 degrees but we do have a light breeze so that is bringing the wind chill down just a little bit 12 in zanesville at the moment columbus is at 14 at john glenn airport lancaster at 16 chillicothe also at 16 degrees and temperatures are going to be trending upward today we will reach the upper 20s between 1 2 and 3 o'clock we'll hold steady there through the afternoon but it's the snow that is going to remain steady as well there's that heavier batch of moisture up near lima and back toward fort wayne indiana that will generally stay to the north so bucyrus mansfield marion mount gilead seeing that in the northeast ohio by lunchtime for us in central ohio it'll be our heaviest snow of the day but at least it won't be as concentrated as that but it is going to be consistent so several hours of light to moderate snow means we'll see accumulations and here's five o'clock starting to taper off in central ohio still got a couple hours to go in southern ohio at that point that should taper off between eight and nine so how much are we going to see about two to four inches everywhere shaded in purple from i-70 all the way up to the lake so that does include our northern suburbs of columbus and then driving up 71 23 or even 33 but one to two inches for spots like athens and then about a half an inch to an inch for chillicothe in portsmouth heading into tomorrow morning though we will see a bit of a break in the action we won't have active snow for the morning commute but we will have lingering slick spots on untreated surfaces but then another round of snow starting right around lunchtime on monday and we could even see a brief batch of heavy snow as kids head home from school or for the evening commute that could mix in with a little bit of mist in our southern communities that would knock down any snow totals with that but we should all be dealing with some light snow still after sunset on monday before that tapers off late monday into early tuesday morning so this is going to be additional snowfall on top of the two to four general inches that we'll see today another one to two inches tomorrow shaded in the light blue from mount gillian up into northeastern ohio columbus about an inch along i-70 and then the lightest white chillicothe over to athens looking at about a half an inch of additional accumulation and then flurries on tuesday this isn't going to stick but we'll have a nice coating of snow on the ground cold air will settle in and we'll have lows in the single digits again on wednesday and thursday but we'll see some sunshine with high pressure then on friday another system coming our way as a cold front advances this could bring some light snow accumulations high pressure taking over for the weekend so it will be quiet here over the weekend other than a few flurries but then a nor'easter potential impact for places like boston and new york city so if you have travel plans to the east coast that'll be something to look out for next weekend but for us here relatively quiet typical january a little bit below average monday is our only day above freezing 33 not very far above freezing and then friday saturday and sunday next week we all have a chance at a few flakes
