foreign mic YouTube channel bringing you some of the biggest and best variety and definitely the most versatile farming content on social media today you can find me on YouTube Instagram Tick Tock and Facebook at farmhand Mike hey everyone welcome back for another 2023 winter wheat Harvest video in this video I am out in the field with three Gleaner L2 combines back in mid-july I was out here on the Colorado prairies doing some video shoots for my YouTube channel when I was going down Route US 36 in eastern Colorado I looked over on the south side of the road and I could see dust and I thought I could see three Gleaner combines so I went down the dirt road went to the field where the trucks were talked to the people and next thing you know got my drone up in the air and I am filming these three combines when I got here the combines were staggered out across the field they were going around and around but like I said they were spaced out but after we talked they got all three combines together so I could get a drone shot of all three of these l2s going down the field at the same time after talking with the family that runs these combines they told me if I was here a day sooner I could have filmed four of these l2s running together I guess there's always next year a little history on the Gleaner l or Gleaner L2 combine so first off Gleaner had the model L combine which was manufactured from 1972 to 1976. the model L had 120 bushel grain tank you could get that with either a General Motors gasoline engine or an Alice Chalmers diesel they were 120 or 109 horsepower then in 1977 the model L2 come out the model you see here cleaner built the model L2 then from 1977 to 1982 the L2 was only powered with the Allis Chalmers diesel engine rated at 158 horsepower and it looks like the L2 you could either get 185 or a 200 bushel grain tank of course Gleaner combine history goes clear back to 1923 and it always makes me happy when I can find places like this when I'm out here traveling to get up here on my YouTube channel all three of the Gleaner L2 combines you see in this video have 24 foot wide headers on them this family also runs a versatile 875 tractor I definitely hope to get back here in the future for some more videos foreign foreign don't forget farmhand mic merchandise is available through Kaz gear if you'd like more information on some of my merchandise you can go to kazdash-gear.com or farmhandmike.com there's hats t-shirts hoodies and stickers available that's going to wrap up this video if you did like this video please go down there and hit that like button feel free to comment below and if you're new to my YouTube channel I would really appreciate it if you would go down there and hit subscribe also check back often there's always lots of new and exciting content come on my YouTube channel I did get a couple good videos while I was out here in Colorado I will be editing those soon and putting them up here on my channel including a video with three John Deere X9 combines not too far from here another video with alexion and John Deere running the same field and then one in Western Kansas with nine case international combines all running in the same field anyways that's going to do it thanks for watching and supporting my social media
