college week in my life // study abroad in nyc !!

[Music] beautiful did today hey guys um happy Monday welcome to my vlog apparently I'm doing a vlog well I'm currently on exchange in New York City I'm studying at Barnard College in Columbia and I don't know I just I want to be able to remember this time it's so amazing being here I love it so much um I just New York City is one of my favorite places and I feel so grateful to be able to wake up over here but anyway I thought I'd start my vlog today it is Monday morning no it's not it's like Monday lunchtime um I'm very tired and I kind of look like it - I do apologize but um a few of us were at this DJ event in Brooklyn last night which is so much fun it was really cool but I'm very dead I will is there any clips that I have because afternoon I think I'm going to head on time I have a paper to write on a piece of art from like the early modern period so I'm gonna go to the MoMA probably get that paper done and just cut out the chill day maybe go to the gym I mean it's so beautiful outside it's like clear blue skies I'm looking for painting right now it has to become like early modern period so like late 19th century into early Friday so I'm just gonna deciding what to do Matisse hey good morning happy Monday it is it is 9:30 I slept for about 13 hours straight last night I was so tired um that's good I feel refreshed we're gonna be productive tonight I have a architecture of a nice architecture lecture at 10 past 10:00 so I'm just gonna get ready put some coffee on hopefully cuz I need that I just had a shower and I'm just gonna like stay on some German stuff so I go straight to the gym after my lecture because that I did not work out all weekend and that's not good um so yeah it's kind of a gloomy day to say quite sad but I think you'll force me to be productive I go to the library and get work done so did I say happy Monday is Tuesday I just finished up at the gym feeling grace hello no no it looks very healthy thank you yeah it's me hi we've a friend a new friend Sallah a new friend a new friend a new character she's having sushi yes the right way sushi extraordinaire stunning lab ice color of my early modernism lecture and I'm gonna head him for a sec for granted in there just cuz I need out sharp be like sitting in my gym sweats like five hours but yes super good lecture your mom is so smart he says so many big words which I don't know yeah had a bunch of fun it's really cool that I'm going [Applause] [Music] because you did that side it is a beautiful way to say um I just came back from my class I had a seminar on the African novel which it's really interesting but it's a graduate class at Columbia and half of the people in it are either seniors or PhD students or master's students and they know so much about African literature and I've never done before and I did it I just feel like an idiot and I never said anything but it's interesting but yeah anyway I had thought this morning at 10:00 I was gonna get up early and do work and go to the gym before but that didn't happen because I was so tired um so yeah I just got back to my room I'm eating some leftover dal for dinner dinner for lunch um and I'm gonna try and get some discussion board posts written and then I have a seminar in Renaissance architecture which ever they like that one's really interesting and after that I have to go downtown to Soho for an interview and for a potential internship which is cool hopefully it's fine but yeah I'm gonna go down to sit for that and I might stick around I said oh maybe go to your coffee she'll get some work done it's so pretty though I decide I just want to walk around and do fun things why is college so hard this is my please hire me for an internship like fit we're doing a blazer and a polo neck moment because we're trying to be smart [Music] so I've just been plotting what I'm doing today I don't have any class which is good so this is the work that I need to get done today there's some tasks that I have to do i form a boundary hey okay that was a really messy tape um and yes I'm just printing off my readings for next week I'm gonna do those and then I'm gonna go to the gym with em you know a beautiful day oh my god we're feeling really my own room okay you're fairly well covered do you want to be a scholar there's no I'm good I am currently getting ready for this party that we're going to tonight yeah I put in my compact I would make up there hello happy Saturday oh I'm so tired and slightly hungover well it's gone it's 12 o'clock and I am going tonight no leader for some of the girls and then we have a reservation of three at this Italian place which I'm so excited for oh my god I'm so hungry what did I eat last I add some gross like falafel I'm just like nope I need some like nice food but yeah I'm basically ready to go Ami's loving her bath life thank you got our mantra that's we're happy we're recovering from hangover [Music] [Music] why do we rent our honestly food was delicious with almost the photos the tray tray we don't keep eggs yes that we're gonna go shopping not [Music] remember me think I saw [Music] [Music] Coffee work [Music] French if I get to do stuff I really want to get like a nice pair of jeans you guys oh my god it looks amazing Ringo time [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] we're like Dean and we've done it there's so much damage being done yet that's partly an urban jungle in Bloomsburg so ever well there's just so much like hundreds and hundreds I'm so like $10 everything I've seen is big Sanders I could spend that our dear I'm overwhelmed it was kind of hard to constrain myself I wanted to make sure that I bought really good funds so I just got three things which I'm pretty part of but the first place we went to was crossroads in Williamsburg and it was actually really good there are a bunch of like bronze items and it was like nicely curated by color so it was pretty easy to find things and it was all done like by size as well which it was just so nice um anyway the first thing I got is this silky cream of course that tall it fits so nicely oh my gosh this is gorgeous and it's it's not made from silk it's made from wool which is so bizarre there's like wool and round it's like a super thick material but I just think this is gorgeous and it fits so nicely it's giving me like worsened iris or like Amanda steals lying vibes so like this was like some denim jeans I don't know you could to get you could wear tight and you can also dress it down I'm super happy about this and it was $11 so how many go wrong um and the other thing I got from crossroads was this cropped brandy melville hoodie and I was gonna buy one of these in brandy yesterday and like the baby blue but I didn't and I find the shoe the same thing in mustard and I love yellow tiger yeah this is so nice there's like a tiny hole um right there so he gave me some money off so I got it for like $12 which is so good um and yeah this is gonna be so nice just to like throw everything and I'm gonna wear it a lot and then the last thing I got was from Altran in and he goes no my name's burgers well it's like deeper Williamsburg I don't know Brooklyn but I was looking for denim jeans and there were so many nice pairs especially in urban jungle there were so many Levi's jeans all like six to ten dollars but they were big sizes and I like I couldn't make it work um so I ended up getting a denim jacket which I depended I'm jacket um and this one is so cool it is by Harley Davidson it's got this super tacky Americana design on the back which I actually love and I'm it makes it it's like it's really unique there was a Levi's one the exact same but just like near design for the same price I was like no I'm gonna get the hardy one it's kind of like a souvenir um and this was $30 which isn't too bad for like a vintage denim jacket unlike worse comes to worse I know I can almost smell it on Depot for something after I wear if I get bored but I love it and I get the fits great and this shade of blue is like the perfect denim suitably so yeah that's everything I got um I'm probably gonna end the vlog here just because it's Sunday night I can get some work done for tomorrow so I hope you enjoyed this is a week of my life in New York so yeah I don't know if I'm I'll probably do some more vlogs so subscribers balminess or
