if you have a golf ball-sized consciousness when you read a book you'll have a golf ball-sized understanding when you look out a golf ball-sized awareness and when you wake up in the morning a golf ball-sized wakefulness but if you could expand that consciousness then you read the book more understanding you look out more awareness and when you wake up more wakefulness its consciousness depending on your frame of reference which is established by your experiences in life as well as the information you've attained your view of a reality will be filtered and thus you will view reality through a specific lens so people viewing a masterpiece such as Cloud Atlas will have a different level of understanding depending on their background of information and experiences this is why Cloud Atlas are so poorly received by audiences and critics alike our society consists of people who take things at face value who lack the patience to take the time to understand something beyond its surface layer what is a critic but one who reads quickly arrogantly but never wisely people generally go to the theaters to be entertained by simplistic movies filled with spectacle and dabbed and familiarity a story as complex as Cloud Atlas could not be told by conventional needs usually movies have a straightforward plot established by the 20-minute mark but Cloud Atlas takes exactly 43 minutes to establish all six story lines at that point many who did not understand what was happening simply walked out of the movie and to be honest I was going to be one of those people during my first viewing I remember pausing it right at the 40-minute mark contemplating shutting off the movie I think the forces of life for stopping me from doing so for what I was about to see would have a fundamental impact on my life this film is not only about reincarnation it is about how the actions of each life throughout time connect to a string of events that lead to a paradigm changing the future of humanity part one the symphony begins the film begins by introducing us to six different characters within six different eras of time each speaking their own monologue pertaining to their story all of the six characters introduced our reincarnations of the same soul which is confirmed by the birthmark that they all share a birthmark in the shape of a shooting star or comet of course the film doesn't reveal this until later on which is one of the reasons why this film requires multiple viewings to grasp all the details that reveal it to be the masterpiece that it is the structure of the movie is showcased in the beginning scene what appears to be separate characters speaking separate things is in fact one character speaking the same monologue through each transition between time errors there are several reincarnating souls in the story which are displayed by the same actors playing the different characters across six eras of time however the story itself follows the actions of a single soul you bring a story all voices tied up in door one voice different one off all voices tied up into one one voice for now I just want it to be known if Yuri watch the movie knowing that these are all the same soul you'll see how these monologues can be combined into a singular voice communicating to the audience while my extensive experience as an editor has led me to a disdain for flashbacks and flash-forwards and all such tricksy gimmicks I believe that if you dear reader can extend your patience for just a moment you will find there is a method to this tale of madness how did these different characters and stories connect due to the complex structure of this movie I will explain the plot in chronological order Adam Ewing 18-49 the story chronologically begins at 1849 of Adam Ewing a lawyer who's delivering a slaver contract to his father-in-law we are introduced to him at the Pacific Islands where he meets a Tula a member of the need of Merari people who's being alleged savagely the scene establishes some of the underlying themes of the movie one of which is protesting the other oppression or the combination of the intense heat and horror adding to his already ill state Adam collapses he is later tended by dr. Henry Goose during the examination we are shown that Adam has a birthmark in the shape of a comet's on his chest this is the first clue to a developing mystery that Adam is the first incarnation of the soul taking place within these stories later on they set sail for San Francisco due to his illness Adams quarantines into the storage room away from the other passengers in the room where he writes in his journal that night he encounters a to of who is now a stowaway escaping slavery Adam insists that he cannot help the runaway slave so a tumor commands him to kill him and kill a few more help okay light just seems to choosing not to help someone who need is a choice in and of itself we can either take part in the consequences or we can take part in conquer so by not helping Matua Adam might as well be sentencing him to his death as is everyone who ignores those in need of help anyway Adam chooses to help the truly ignorant to the blind prejudice of the captain and crew Adam attempts to convince them to add it to it with their roster please nobody tells me what I can and cannot do on my own ship especially when it concerns niggers stole away after the impressive display the captain decides to welcome a towards with a crew and over the course of the trip Adams condition gets worse ignorant to the fact that the doctor secretly poisoning him in order to attain his cold a tool later then catches the doctor poisoning Adam and fights to defend him the fight resolves with a disorientated Adam crushing the doctors skull with the treasure he schemed to steal a powerful theme in metaphor in and of itself historians with him confronting his father-in-law of burning the slaver contract and declaring that he and his wife will join the abolitionists and I cannot in good conscience participate in this kind of business any longer Robert Frobisher 1936 one of the first things we noticed during his introduction is the combat birthmark upon his lower back indicating that this is the second incarnation of the soul he's laying with his lover Rufus Sixsmith who are both woken by the hotel management he's shown to be rebellious nature escaping authorities stealing a bike and using whatever means to achieve his objectives his monologue which is in the form of letters written to Sixsmith reveals that he was disowned by his father and plans to get back at him through his success as a music composer his scheme is to become Vivian Eris's and menu insists so that he could become the greatest composer of the time robber passes Vivian's tests and goes on to write music with him during this time he gets hooked on the journal of Adam you not knowing he's reading the offense of his past life incarnation this is the first of many threads that tie these stories together he rates to six myths saying that he is now creating his own masterpiece the Cloud Atlas sextet in which Viviane claims is the song from his dreams that did the music from my dream as Robert plays a song on the piano he tells Vivian that he imagined the meeting again and again through different lives and different ages as he wrote the song foolishly Robert believed that Vivian could perceive reality beyond the face-value perspective and reached out to kiss him - which Vivian uttered utterly rejects him I fancy a little buggering from a fine young dandy like humiliated whopper immediately gets up to leave I suggest you think about this Robert think about reputation reputation is everything in our society yours my disinherited reprobate has expired we won't leave here without my consent and all the Musical Society will know of the degenerate Robert revolution should Vivian destroy his reputation Robert will never become the great composer he wishes to be even still he wishes to complete his Cloud Atlas masterpiece and refuses to allow Vivian to steal it give that to me it's mine I'm warning you under the conditions of this relationship I'm certainly within my legal rights it's me give it to me or I swear to God I will kill you as you stand Robert Frobisher now on the run knows that he has little time before he ends his life the only thing left in his life now is to finish the Cloud Atlas sextet when Sixsmith reads what has happened he urgently sets off to find Robert but it is too late not long after Robert Frobisher finishes his masterpiece he commits suicide leaving the world behind SiC Smith finds his body Luisa Rey 1973 Luisa Rey the daughter of the journalist Lester rain works for spyglass magazine by chance she meets the now much older Rufus Sixsmith in an elevator a power outage occurs giving them time for conversation during the talk Sixsmith notices of birthmark on Louise's shoulder that is identical to the birthmark that Robert Frobisher had a comet or a shooting star I knew someone who had a birthmark was similar to that really who was it but someone I cared about very much Luisa Rey is indeed the third reincarnation of the main sole character during their conversation six myth goes on to ask if Luisa was willing to cover a story that could potentially threaten her life as he proceeds to go into details the elevator starts back up before parting ways she gives him her contact card later on in the motel room six myths reads one of frobisher's old letters he then takes notice of a news casting showcasing Lloyd hooks he seems to be displeased despite the late hour he calls Luisa Rey and urgently asks her to take his documents shortly after he is assassinated the hit men bill smoke makes it look like suicide Luisa then finds the body as well as the old letters from Frobisher she then goes on to read the letters not knowing she's reading her own words she comes across the section where Frobisher speaks about Cloud Atlas and sets off to find a copy doing so she feels as though she knows the song I doubt there's more than a handful of copies in all of North America compelled by Sixsmith story she seems to uncover the mystery behind his murder so she goes to his previous workplace the nuclear power plant at Swansea Island there she meets Lloyd hooks who takes her on a tour of the facility an opportune moment percent itself midway through the tour when she spots sick Smith's office well attentive as she searches through his files someone opens the door it's Isaac Sachs what what are you doing in here who ends up covering for her when confronting Lloyd hooks ah they later converse and Louisa asks him why he'd cover for her are you gonna tell me why you covered for me and he gives her an interesting answer I had a girlfriend was she kept trying to get me to read Carlos Castaneda you ever read any that shit oh yeah but the relationship was doomed every time she brought up any of that karma past life stuff I couldn't stop myself from laughing and yet I can't explain it but I knew and I opened that door these two souls have been intimately related to one another throughout the phone I'll explain how after we get through explaining these plots Isaac ends up giving Louisa ray a copy of the Sixsmith report endangering his life the report reveals that the Hydra reactor is doomed to fail shortly after he's assassinated killed by a bomb planted on his plane Louisa narrowly escapes death after someone ran her office on a Key Bridge she returns home to recuperate Simone Lee to be met with more hostility as Joan neighbors subdues her Joe reveals himself to be a friend of her father's who died for him during the Vietnam War he then goes on to explain how the oil lobbyists placed Lloyd hooks in charge of the nuclear reactor so that they can capitalize off of the reactor meltdown Sixsmith was killed because he was going to expose this to public which Louisa is now planning to do as well who doesn't want the report discovered because he doesn't want the reactor fixed he wants it to fail this is about the future of energy in this country they want the explosion the chaos and carnage the more deaths the better what the help of Joe Napier they beat bill smoke into a trap and then go public with the Sixsmith report taking down the oil lobbyists which Louisa then writes her own experiences into a book entitled half-lives the first of Louisa raid mr. Timothy Cavendish 2012 he's a publisher who's working for the writer durmand Hawkins who's upset that his new book was tarnished by the critics one in particular Felix Finch Phoenix fucking fate during an escalation of tension Dermott throws Felix Finch off of the balcony killing him and overnight his popularity exploded his books were being sold and Timothy Cavendish was set to live a life of wealth and prosperity that is until Hagen sends his family after Timothy demanding $50,000 by the next day the law says his luck was no longer with him as Timothy's wealth had went all to depths leaving him with only two thousand dollars not nearly enough to pay back Dermot Hoggins so he goes through his phonebook desperately trying to find someone to lend him some money no one will help him they became with one option to beg for his brother's help if the Hawking's his boobs wanted to turn this into a family affair they'd find the Cavendish plan more than ready for the task at hand well get them to video it for us would you now fuck off his brother refuses at least at first before seemingly agreeing to help he tells Timothy to stay at a specific hotel in the meantime while he gathers him the $50,000 during the train ride Timothy reads a manuscript for a book entitled half lives the first Louisa ray mystery he then remembers his younger days when he and his lover Ursula were together a powerful deja vu ran through my boners the scene reveals that Timothy has the same comet shaped birthmark on his leg suggesting that he is the fourth incarnation Timothy arrives at the hotel and then he doesn't realize until the next morning that this is not a hotel at all it is a nursing home only he realizes this after he already signed the contract for his residence he gets into a heated argument with one of the personal care workers criminal abuse little does he know this was the moments that would change the course of humanity we will get into that later Timothy ultimately breaks out of the nursery home of the help of his new friends Timothy's story ends with him writing a screenplay for him will be retelling his experiences with him Barcelona sits on the slab together at last Timothy Cavendish would then go on to publish Louisa Ray's story propelling him to fame and fortune sonmi-451 and 2144 and archivists of the worldwide conglomerate known as unanimity gives sonmi-451 a final interview before her execution sunny is a clone or a fabricants as her society calls her and this dystopian future all clones are considered corporate property she was engineered to be a server at a restaurant called Papa song every 24-hour cycle is identical to the last each day she and other clones are awoken by Auto stimulus and served for the whole day until closing they are then to consume a substance called soap which puts them to sleep they work their whole lives hoping to be chosen for a rite of passage his exaltation interestingly enough if you listen to the hymn that they sing as they bid farewell to one of their sisters you'll notice that it is the Cloud Atlas extent anyway during the scene Sami notices that one of her sisters you know 9:39 holds a key in her hand later on nuna wakes on me up in the middle of the night confused Sonny finds Yuna having sex with the owner of the restaurant ciri he then passes out due to a sope overdose giving unni insomnia a window of time to experience a taste of freedom do you ever think about what it must be like up there with the consumers third catechism forbids such questions yes it does Sami is terrified the entire time this is all new to her despite her fears you know encourages her to break the rules yoona-939 plays a movie it is distorted caught in a loop it's a movie about Timothy Cavendish the next day you know sexually assaulted by a teenager she retaliates why not be subjected to criminal abuse knowing that she's finished she makes a valiant effort to escape she fails now we understand that these clones are not fabricants at all they are people later on some knees once again awakened in the middle of the night this time by Haji chain a member of the Union a resistance opposing the oppressive government he offers her the choice to escape with him she accepts and for the first time in her life she steps outside of the restaurant and sees the city neo-soul hae-joo has her slave collar removed revealing the common birthmark on her neck she is the fifth incarnation he later takes her to a hideouts this is where he plays a full version of the Timothy Cavendish film that yoona-939 shows Omni I will not be subjected and her honor Sami watches the whole movie unfortunately it isn't long before she an age you are discovered after a series of unfortunate events they find a new hideout with in the slums of neo salt and this corporatized future all citizens have a spending quota leaving many impoverished it is here where she meets the rebellion known as the union they show her the truth about the nature for reality as mentioned earlier the clones believe that exultation is their ascension to the world above but this is a lie instead they are led to slaughter imagine comics industry demands a huge quantity of biomatter for woundings more importantly to sustain an engineered labor force recycled fabricants are a cheap source of protein mortified Sarris horror turns into anger summoning and the rebellion go on a suicide mission to the central broadcasting station of the climate located on the Big Island of Hawaii she delivers a powerful speech that will shift paradigms and changed the world she broadcasts it to the entire world and for offworld colonies 18 minutes later the facility is rated hey Joo was killed Insomnia's captured if I may ask one last question you had to know this Union scheme was doomed to fail yes and why did you agree to it this is what general appease asked of me what to be executed if I had remained invisible that dress would stay hidden I couldn't allow that Sonny's story ends with her martyred her sacrifice and her execution Zachary Bailey 23:46 106 years after the fall of humanity we are introduced to Sakura Bailey a member of the valley men tribe Zachary is haunted by their devil called old Georgie who is personified as an evil Uncle Sam wearing nineteenth-century American clothing his friend Adam and his son Jonas gifts prayer to their ancestors until suddenly ambushed by a group of cannibals known as the Kona old Georgie plays on Sakura spheres and convinces him to hide behind a rock as Adam and Jonas are butchered some time passes and with the death of Adam and join us on his hands he is frowned upon by the rest of the village safe for his niece and his sister they are visited by the precedence twice a year a group of survivors who have maintained their technological advances the pristine society is dying up from plague and since healthy and voice to barter with the valley mineral one such employee is meronym a woman whom Zachary is connected to he initially does not understand this connection and fears it Sakura is mistrustful and fears that she has been sent to infiltrate the valley men tribe so that the precedence might overthrow them he vows to find her secret after a disturbing dream of all the past life incarnations leading up to this one Zachary consults with the Abbess the shaman of the tribe who foretells three impending events all of which come true all these encounters are tied to Merida in some way Marin him later tells Zachary that she needs a guy to monarchy the same installation the saw me used to spread her message the valley men however think that the devil lives up in those mountains which further raises his suspicions of marinum and her motivations problem is the valley people are afraid of it they think the devil lives up there I can't find anybody to guide me through the Kona Terrace marinum everyday you're out there you increase your rad levels this dream of yours is going to kill you and for what this is when the first prediction comes true the bridge crumbles and marinum falls zachary catches her immediately puts two and two together and rushes to a hiding spot as they hide the Kona pass later on she saves his niece's life and he fulfills his end of the bargain by taking her up the mountain during Mike Marin and slips and plummets once more Zachary's hands bleed as he tries to hold on to the rope all Georgie once again begins to taunt him that zachary remembers the words of the APUs he pushes through his delusions and pulls Meredith to safety saving me twice in the fall I'll getcha they then reached the top and enter the installation inside they find a statue dedicated to Sami and it's surrounded by a mass grave marinum explains that this place connected the people from this world to the offworld colonies and that saamne was not a God but just a person a clone who started a revolution that changed the world forever all that remains of the great wars what we see now Marin is people the prescience are survivors of the lost civilization who maintained their technology zachary expresses cognitive dissonance as his whole religion is shattered before his eyes hello how long you just fighting to keep fucking their balloons up old Georgie once again plays on Sakura's thoughts he tries to convince him to slit her throat and uses whatever device of tactic he can to do so the Sakura does not slit her throat instead in a fit of panic he desperately asks her what her true motives are she tells him that the entire human race will die from radiation poisoning that they need to signal out to the offworld colonies so that they can rescue the survivors on earth she successfully sends the signal restoring hope for the future on their way back Sakura hears the war cry of the corner and he instantly knows what's going on his village is under attack the people have been slaughtered Zachary then searches for any survivors within his sisters home the Kona chieftain sleeps Zachary slits the Chieftains throat proving to be a mistake as the rest of the cannibals return he finds his niece hiding away and gets her out of there with the Konan pursuit Zachary weaves through the trees until he finds himself in a familiar spots the spots where Adam and Jonas had died and he would have shared the same fate had he not saved merriman who appears before him standing on the very same rock that he used to hide earlier in the film the encounter ends with both of them saving each other's lives meronym later convinces the precedence to allow Zach green as news to come along with them they are shown to have fallen in love and the movie ends where it began with old Zachary telling the story by a fire to his grandkids marinum calls for them to head inside as they head in one of his granddaughter's stays with him she asks where the earth is he points to it as he does we find the comet birthmark at the back of his head Zachary was the final incarnation was actions across time changed the course of humanity part three journey of the soil now that I've explained the plot we will finally get into the analysis itself throughout the movie the same actors are used to play the various roles in each time error by virtue of this fact alone we could follow the journey of any soul throughout the movie and find a fascinating story for each the main plot follows the journey of a single soul as it encounters the other souls churning throughout the film I won't cover every incarnation that would take hours I will however cover the ones that emphasize the structure of his story when I think about my characters is that if I take the idea that it's one soul I start off as old native woman and to me she was the least evolved and then I move on to two Jocasta who's a bit more evolved but yet she's living as like I called her a ghost of a person she's living but she's sort of a shell of a person she's not really seen so she doesn't have a voice and then I go on into the next life to be Luisa Rey who's struggling very hard to find her voice and find her strength and live up to her father which she does and then I go on to play doctor Ovid of a man an educated doctor and in a way is a surgeon and then I go on to play a woman meronym who ultimately is part of saving the world as they know it so I think each one of those characters the soul evolved in order to have the strength to be the character that I ended up being Hugh Grant's soul for example is constantly representing the oppressor in 18-49 he's a reverend who owned slaves in 1973 he's an oil lobbyist conspiring to blow up a nuclear reactor hiring assassins to kill anyone who threatens his plan in 2012 he imprisons his brother in the nursery room in an act of vengeance in 2144 he rapes you know nine three nine continuously before killing her during the escape and in 2346 he's a chieftain of the cat tribes so as you can see his soul became worse and worse with each incarnation the soul in which Tom Hanks portrays has by far the most dynamic journey in the story he begins as the deceitful dr. Henry Goose whose greed drives him to murder he also displays toxic dominance as well seeing himself above others I'm only willing to concede that he makes a compelling case as to why we are sitting here enjoying this divine land while kupaka stands there content to serve his next incarnation maintains the screen that's what I happen what a beautiful face coat during his eye sixaxis reincarnation he meets the Halle Berry's incarnation of Luisa Rey who shifts his trajectory his 2012 incarnation seems to retain the negative aspects from the previous incarnations he appears in 2144 solely as an actor playing Timothy Cavendish but finally all his traits conflict within his final reincarnation as Zachary the negative aspects of himself the greed the selfishness the prejudice and toxic masculinity are personified in the form of old Georgie who in and of himself is a representation of the distorted value systems that plagued humanity they are meat and the strong delete Zachary is the embodiment of all his incarnations most of which were corrupted it was only during his incarnation as Isaac Sachs that he fell in love with the soul played by Halle Berry this love plays a major factor in his final incarnation as a test that will decide what you have people take Zachary's first test was a failure leaving a friend in this son to die however thanks to Marilyn he passes all the future tests to come Marilyn was the catalyst for his change it was love that made it possible diminishing the corruption so as you can see there are many of these stories pertaining to each soul all within the main story of the movie there are many layers to this philosophy when watching the movie we can perceive it to be the surmounting consequences of a previous actions of characters or we can view it as one character for soul experiencing one grand story are the characters insignia is the shooting star or common birth or the birthmark indicated the reincarnated soul however the film creates a new dynamic for this concept as we've seen different actors are representing their specified soul as an incarnation Atari leaving the meaning of the comment to be subject to interpretation in this adaptation the scene with Halle Berry and Ben Whishaw for example adds to the confusion they both recognize the Cloud Atlas sextet yes they are both individual Souls Ben Whishaw portrayed Robert Frobisher yet Halle Berry's character in Louisa is the one with the comic earth how could the main character the soul of the birthmark be both a single entity and multiple ones at once in order to understand this we must look to the creator of the story who expresses the journey of the soul in terms of quantum theory belief like fear or love is a force to be understood as we understand the theory of relativity and principles of uncertainty phenomenon that determine the course of our lives yesterday my life was headed in one direction today it is headed in another yesterday I believe that would never have done what I did today these forces that often remake time and space that can shape and alter who we imagine ourselves to be begin long before we are born and continue after we perish our lives and our choices like quantum trajectories are understood moment to moment at each point of intersection each encounter suggests a new potential direction within the context of the film's metaphysical philosophy the main soul splits and converges throughout time like quantum trajectories part four on earth I consume in every time era there exists some form of injustice in fact the societal paradigms despite the changes in their physical appearance remains the same up until Zachary's story 106 years after the fall of humanity until then we are presented with a consistent stream of social injustice and all its consequential manifestations manifestations of value systems that value profits over life Sonny's story portrays the culmination of these manifestations in the form of the society known as unanimity up worldwide Neil corporate RC civilization that succeeded in destroying the biodiversity of the planet as well as establishing the Monaco structure of governing similar to Neo Tokyo in akhira new soul is like an overripe fruit about to rot the linear production and consumption model of existence has resulted in a take make throwaway system that has nearly depleted the earth's resources marinum outlines that our civilization will lead to an unsustainable nightmare that will tear itself apart through internal conflict Aldens got the smart but mastered second seeds make miracles black cross the sky true all true but they got something else hunger and their hearts hunger is stronger than all day smart hunger robot hunger for more the unanimity society the society that our civilization is geared towards has lost all connection to spirits it functions as a machine that relies on a consumer based societal paradigm that produces the ignorance displayed in the film oh my god piece of charity to combine our views much like how people of today are deluded to thinking that animals are without thoughts and feelings that people of somnus time believe that the Clones cannot think or feel that they're merely objects assets for corporations or sex dolls for men it is the societal delusion that allows for atrocities to be committed to human beings of all kinds from the times of slavery to the time of Sami do you ever think about what it must be like up there with the consumers part 5 societal paradigms Zachery story may be the most profound in terms of understanding societal paradigms and social constructs as post-apocalyptic future shows three variations of humanity and an interesting social dynamic between them the pressings the valley man and the conan the gap between somnus time and Zachary's leaves us with many questions as to how things went from point A a technologically advanced world to point B a post-apocalyptic future all the answers to these questions are hidden in plain sight some knees revelations sparked a revolution that led to a civil war across the planet humans destroy themselves a nuclear fire leaving the survivors of the lost civilization scattered around the world Sun maintaining the technology and knowledge while the rest degraded over the course of four generations some his reverence has been misinterpreted by the later generations who created a religion and worship her as a God the prescience maintain ties to the past technologically historic and socially the valley man and the conan however are far more interesting sociologically speaking these two groups are the result of the rebooting of humanity but why are they so different from one another how does the same circumstances give rise to one group who is relatively peaceful and another group who is cannibalistic the answer is not what you see but what it took to produce what you see meaning we have to take a look at the timelines presented beforehand the conditions creating these two groups were already put in place far before the nuclear apocalypse this film explores many many themes one of which is predation pardesi created by the conditions of societies societies created by the conditions of their environments which in turn forms the value systems presented to us indeed in it kupaka you enjoy your life here with us do you not oh yes Reverend sir kupaka very happy see usually this is Moore's ladder or civilization the reason behind this natural law these jaws do shut up slavery is one such atrocity that was considered to be right in normal at the time this is due to the fact that the brain uses a reference frame to shape reality within a societal paradigm mental programming from birth establishes neurological pathways that affirm belief systems ergo we accept the world that has been presented to us to be right to normal hostile war truly believes his philosophy to be truly due to his mental programming and exposure to a world that has already been distorted by self-destructive ideologies his philosophy the weaker means of a strong delete is an example of these self-destructive ideologies it is these ideologies that over the course of generations will produce the conditions for savagery to take hold part six echoes in eternity this film is like a package of philosophies and messages tied up until one making it perhaps the most important movie for all to watch people like to pontificate that our actions are pointless because of the sheer scope of reality we can't possibly affect the future yet in actuality the opposite is true as this film demonstrates for example Timothy Cavendish's story seems insignificant in comparison to the rest yet he is in fact the catalyst for the subsequent events his defiance in the nursery home was later adapted into a movie in which yoona-939 shows Omni yoona-939 who recited the words of eternity Cavendish is killed during an act of defiance against an unjust system that she was born into an act that inspired saw me to step outside of it along escaping with a Jew who later helps her discover who she was and discovered the truth about her world leading her to spark the flame that burns down the tyrannical corporate Empire Sony would later be revered by all mankind including the Presonus who successfully evacuated the remainder of humanity offworld on the surface level these are causalities by separate actions of separate people but on a deeper level it is the actions of one character throughout the film one characters actions and reactions one soul that ends up saving the world part seven a natural order to this world throughout the film a recurring philosophies are cited by the oppressors there is only one rule that my top one governing principle it defines every relationship on God's green earth the irony here is is that the oppressors believe that they are attributing to the natural order when the opposite is true the rebels who upend the oppression are in fact the natural order attempting to re-emerge there each oppressive societal paradigm like a rose that grew through concrete's indeed the oppressors are the ones offending the natural order and they present themselves to ask the natural order and in the reality outside the film many people believe in this philosophy that the weak are meat and the strong duty many people believe that this is the way of the world life is so much more than the competition profiteering and dominating the societies presented to the human race do not encourage the spiritual aspects of reality the spiritual is suppressed by the established dogmatic paradigms of religion materialism and utilitarianism these are all part of the caring societal matrix that humanity is plugged into it is a system that was self proclaimed to be the definitive society the apex of human achievements the natural order yet any paradigm that diverges from the natural equilibrium of the it cannot possibly claim to be representative of the natural order all societies presented to the human race are divergences of the natural order they are appending it the consequences for the separation from the circle of life results in the suffering and injustice seen around the world today corporate overseas prey on countries whom of which were formed as a consequence of colonialism and imperial Crusades each oppressor in each time era truly believed that they were adhering to the natural order of things it is in their nature to be hypocritical in this regard justifying the lust for power at the expense of others heart needs in your revelation you spoke of the consequences of an individual's life replica throughout eternity does this mean that you believe in an afterlife in a heaven or hell I believe this is only a tour we need to close is not our Auckland Cloud Atlas is the first movie of its kind to combine Eastern philosophy with Western of theoretical physics giving us a movie that synergistically explores the concepts of quantum entanglement and reincarnation at face value this film is about our actions rippling across time affecting the preceding lives to come yet there is so much more going on beneath the surface the philosophy of Cloud Atlas extends far beyond the limitations of a movie you see reality existence is a mystery humans try to make sense of it all depending on the frame of reference there will be a different explanation for reality with the development of quantum mechanics humans have been analyzing the fundamentals of reality and they show that not all aspects of reality can be weighed or measured one such aspect of reality is consciousness sure we can study brain activity and see which part of the brain is firing the neurons in correlation to the experience of the human but none of these are measuring consciousness it's in and of itself is a mystery that is still trying to be solved by modern scientists if one takes this time to study quantum mechanics you'll find that things are not what they seem everything is in relation to something else that is to say that the appearance of solid matter is an illusion created by wavelengths vibrating at specific frequencies pulling subatomic particles together forming atoms molecules cells and so on atoms are 99% empty space meaning that the appearance of solid matter is an illusion created by the brain our brain receives a copious amount of information which it filters through giving us the perception of reality that we have I'm going to have to use metaphors to describe reality from this view but from a quantum perspective we are a field of energy manifested in a physical three dimensional space-time continuum that we call the universe the universe has its definition States is of space and time and their contents including planets stars galaxies in all of the forms of matter and energy everything including you or I is the universe what is consciousness from a fifth dimensional perspective on words where space-time is now interconnected you see the perception of reality from these higher dimensional perspectives is very different from our 3d perspective and our 3d manifestation of the universe we are apparently separated time is lenio and reality is a sequence of events from birth to death now from the perspective of 5d space all things all points in time are indistinguishable from one another there is no future past or present these are concepts of time that only exist in the 3d universe but in the 5d universe everything has one it is hard if not impossible to wrap our heads around this concept which is so alien to our normal experience of life and the assumptions we have about it but from the 5d perspective onwards reality is one simultaneous experience of the beginning and ending moves to the point of which there is no weekend it's a paradox these mind-bending realizations are directly related to the teachings of ancient Eastern philosophy the perception is is that the universe is one and that we are one with it the soul or consciousness in this regard is experiencing itself in every possible variation part 9 love isn't something we invented it's observable powerful it has to mean something maybe it means something more something we can't yet understand maybe it's some evidence some artifact of a higher dimension that we can't consciously perceive at the fundamental levels of reality everything exists in relation to one another meaning that everything is paired in some way whether that be through causalities or direct correlation this principle of the universe and that everything shares a bond to one another and ultimately to a singularity can be described as love that is to say that love is a fundamental aspect of the universe and that our attachments to those that we love goes far beyond the chemical reactions that facilitate reproduction humans are evolving on a path that will eventually lead to a point where we adopt love into our culture and way of life and as evolution goes on for all animals we will see the social complexity grow as for humans our understanding of love is lacking this is due to the social conditions put in place by our societies and instilled distorted value systems that shape our perception of reality this is why people and particularly Westerners have a hard time understanding Eastern philosophy I say all this to show why this film toothless was not received well by Western audiences in particular the entire structure of the film is representative of this different way of viewing time the concept that it is a movie about the same two souls traveling through space and time through quantum entanglement bounded together by love can be hard to grasp it is not simply six storylines stitched together it is one story being told just as reality is not a compilation of separate lives contained within their own story it is the culmination of all actions and all events and to all things simultaneously occurring so in this way love transcends the boundaries of life conclusion revelations and revolutions is the best thing that ever happened to me love can change his soul and thus love can change the world swing one from the path of greed and cowardness to that of Honor encouraged the accumulation of these micro changes will over time lead to a revolution on a macro level but it starts with each individual undergoing the process of self actualization opening yourself up to the true nature of reality this is precisely why Cloud Atlas is so important for the world it is a compilation of philosophies and revelations that must be heard Swami's revelation for example is another that extends beyond the limitations of a movie to be perceived and to know thyself is only possible through the eyes of the other the nature of our immortal lives is in the consequences of our words and deeds that go on and are pushing themselves throughout time our lives are not our own from the moon to tomb we are bound to others past and present and by each crime and every kindness we birth our future physically speaking the natural order of the universe is not based on predation it is based on interconnectivity a mutual respect for the circle of life which meant fests in the form of balance and harmony by a bending this balance in harmony we created a separation between us in the natural world our civilization will not fare well if it continues to upend the natural order that much is clear through time and space one revolution strings to another leading to a climactic worldwide revolution that has yet to come the great paradigm shift in which we transcend all the artificial boundaries placed which is why throughout history revolutionaries have emerged in every known society revolutionaries whose purpose was to bring freedom to their people freedom from oppression and exploitation their actions may seem insignificant unrelated and distant from one another but in truth they are all interconnected the words of prophets written on the subway walls are not wasted for they are part of this emergence and that love will be the driving force that changes the world no matter what you do it will never amount to anything more than a single drop and a limitless ocean what is an ocean but a multitude of clubs you you
