Close rigs Port Aransas on a Ranger Bay boat

good morning everybody we are fishing out of port aransas today we're trolling we got a couple of lures we're trolling right now oh look he's coming right out he's coming right up yeah i got i got carson on board say what's up everybody i got a special guest i got my man trevor right here right fresh out of retirement there he is he came to join us today i'm so excited stay tuned we're going after kingfish yeah we're hooked up ocacobia what is that bluefish we're gonna shark we're going after whatever tugs our line today you don't want to miss it stay tuned all right carson's hooked up again carson's hooked up again he hooked it up so fast and got that little spanish mackerel off in the boat a minute ago i didn't even get a chance to we got bait we got perfect send it back down and now he's just chatting it up now we got trevor fishing off the back there with a spoon digging it up off the bottom maybe we'll get some more mackerel in here spanish king don't matter oh trevor's hooked up trevor's hooked up to something big something big we had to come off anchor and drift back he almost got spooled yeah look at that he's getting him up now oh yeah going on the boat oh go up and over that power pole there you go get him get him that's all right just let him run just let him run look at trevor look at him all right we're gonna he doesn't want to just get the trolling motor up this way we're going to chase him a little bit big one yeah that might be a shark yeah ray he might be a big ray too yeah yeah or a dolphin like actually golfing north numbers because there were dolphins over there they almost got spooled that's a big fish yeah that's a big one and it's on the spoon right yeah he got some giant on a big big old gold spoon let's do this because we are fishing for dinner that's what we're doing that's it just keep the rod bent keep pressure on him we're getting tired he's a spider shoot this is what it's all about man when you thought you made up the ground yeah i'm already past i'm snagging man all right you need a water break there trevor okay i forgot how big how what the fight it is oh my arms about had it but i'm still going to hold on to it you're looking strong man you're looking strong it's a big one yeah that ain't no king fish no oh man i love it man i love it are you having fun yet yeah yeah yeah i'm excited i caught something go out toward that boat over there so you may just turn to the side but i'm not going to let you they're not going to make you go to the front no carson got him a sabiki fish you still take the line yeah trevor made up a lot of line he i could see the bottom of the spool i'm out of gas man you're gonna be a youtube star you ready for some water yet if you trust my knots yeah he does now huh we're about 12 to 15 minutes into this fight now i'm doing my best to keep trevor in the shade and eric trevor was asking for you where you at man [Music] where you at eric you and scott could have should have been here today i think you might have caught one just as grumpy as you yeah yeah possibility yeah ah don't spray all right we're going to check in now with trevor again he's an hour and 15 minutes into this fight hour and 15 in trevor how you doing i'm tired but i'm still here [Music] we're only in what 55 or so 55 60 foot of water he's got to be halfway up 20 to 30 foot down below the boat we can't see him because the water is just not clear enough there's a little too much cloud cover but it's just like we hit a brick wall with him he's come up 20 30 foot and no farther and mark took over to give me a break here we are two hours in two hours in fighting this game fish two hours in trevor said i need some help yeah i need some help but that's that's what partners are for that's what we're here for look at two hours in he's still pulling drag yeah this is a big one come on let's go so after almost three hours the fish made a run for it under the boat there's nothing more we could have done 30 pound fluorocarbon 30 pound braid and a little swivel hey let's go do it again all right let's catch another one man that was so fun that was so close we never did see him we never did see any color i know that he was close by the amount of line that was on the reel you win some you lose some that was one heck of a fish i sure wish we could have seen it but you know what he he swam off to to live another day he took the spoon with him i'm just impressed that that 30 pound fluorocarbon leader lasted as long as it did it sure did and there trevor was saying i don't know if i'd tie those knots like that no i don't know it held up it held up you got to work on every single knot every knot counts because it might be your pr that next cast might be your pr and you don't know if you don't throw so we're back to trolling again we needed some we needed some air condition three hours sitting in one spot fighting that fish we need we needed some fresh air so we're back to trolling again person needed to stay cool check out this new spot man look at this water and look at the uh fish right there holy moly i want dinner tonight i'll send you the pictures oh yeah i want some dinner tonight what is that what's cobia that's cobia that's cobia he's right up on the surface there's my fish there he i'll put it right is his nose oh yeah come on come on oh oh oh he's giant it's a giant go up and over that rod there you go there you go there you go oh go to the front of the boat go to the front of the boat you have to go around the trolling motor i don't see color yet i don't even know what i'm gaffing i don't know what we're gaffing you got to get him in the boat dude oh he's giant you should have heard that drag screaming that drag was ripping oh i see him i see him i see color i see color what is that what is it is that a kingfish yeah that's a kingfish that's a king that's a good king that's a nice king he's bigger than me dad that is a nice king all me his head i got him cannoli that's a fish dude that's a bit oh look he's so big he's got a sucker fish on him really yeah oh i always wanted to see these little guys he had him a sucker fish on the wind is kicking up we got hurricane ida in the gulf i think it was announced today made a cat for but here we are out of port a fishing with ida this was fun this was fun you don't know if you
