tonight at heinz field big ben will take the field for the last time as a pittsburgh steeler i'm glad he made the announcement that this is probably his last game which it is his last game yeah it is at heinz field i'm glad he did it because for the very thing you preface your question with the the love and respect that's being shown for him and a remembrance for how great this guy was that he deserves as one of the greatest athletes and performers in pittsburgh sports history as roethlisberger warmed up for his last ride at heinz field he took a quick walk down memory lane with another all-time great qb they say it's not about the destination but the journey that got you there whether you're performing on the field watching from the sidelines [Music] or cheering from the stands everyone has their story about the legend of ben roethlisberger i was in the end zone where san antonio homes caught it but i was way up high though but that was i mean it was probably one of my best days of my life anything to where you think he's gonna get sacked and the next thing you know he's just up and then just throws the ball like down the field and then it's like touched down but it's just ben that's great that's who he is and this is i mean just you know i guess all my best memories of him i don't want him to leave we'll see him in canton because he deserves it this town is a blue-collar town ben emphasized the fact that that's who he is that's who his family is that's where he comes from that's the kind of dna that he has in him hey y'all can get everything i got tonight kell witherspoon picks it off for pittsburgh all right now let's go [Music] and this is the great talent and all the physical attributes coming together with his eyes and the guys up front walking out ball you okay you guys okay [Applause] some things never change as roethlisberger's grit and toughness were on full display in the monday night match-up against the browns couple that with four field goals from chris boswell and nine total sacks from the defense the steelers were on their way to giving roethlisberger a proper send-off at home mayfield is sad tj what and they're sack number four for what good job mindy [Applause] even as the browns got within one score late in the game rookie running back naji harris made sure to finish the job that roethlisberger started third and three naji gets the call cuts it back through the hole he's on his way he's in the 25-20 15-10 pittsburgh dealer touchdown go baby how about dodgy harris naji harris to the end zone touchdown steelers and ben it's all yours and it's intercepted trade norwood the rookie from oklahoma and he's going to give ben one last snap with the football you've got the victory formation really prevent to take a bow which i think is just absolutely marvelous ben steps in one last [Applause] and we have seen some great quarterbacks in the years that we have been blessed to call these games but this guy is right at the top 92 games at heinz field third most in nfl history in one venue thank you ben for 18 years of great memories here at heinz field probably not the way you wanted it other than the win and that's all that really matters that's kind of been the story of my career not always pretty but we find a way and these are the best fans of sports the best place to play so like i said i'm so thankful and blessed to be able to call this place home for almost half my life in front of these fans and seeing all the signs and all the jerseys and uh we love you and just uh you know to come out here i just i don't know i've been so blessed and i'm just so [Applause] thankful is the best play in football when you're an offensive player to take a knee and so i'm glad i got to do it one last time [Applause] That straight on view of Najee running shows just how good he actually is. I can’t imagine trying to tackle that dude.

Really need a leader on offense. With JuJu most likely gone Najee is gunna have to step up to be that guy. His personality is infectious. He’s someone people naturally gravitate to just like JuJu. Diontae from all reports is very soft spoken and humble and Chase still has some growing up to do. I would really love it if they brought in a vet Olineman like Turner (but good) again to give some perspective. Maybe a vet receiver as well with juju and Washington probably gone

If there is one takeaway from this video for me it is how beat up this man was and still went out there and got it done one last time. Just look at his walking at field level.
