whenever you're in New York it's like going to a mountain rain as a climber your eye is drawn towards the biggest most beautiful mountain in the range and the Manhattan skyline that mountain is the World Trade Center my name is Jimmy chin I am a photographer filmmaker and climber the New York Times magazine asked me to come in and shoot from the needle on top of the World Trade Center for the first two-thirds kind of enclosed and giant metal skeleton you're climbing and climbing and climbing and climbing and then eventually all of a sudden you're outside of the cage all right now I need to start focusing on shooting a photo very intense feeling to be up there there you are on the top of this needle above 8 million 10 million people you get that very visceral experience of feeling insignificant it was really just beautiful and almost lonely I think that's what makes it special [Music] you
