hey there guys my name is marcus and in this video i'm going to compare click up with notion the first thing i will compare are pricing plans and then i'm going to compare the main features like what kind of templates they have how it feels to add a task in notion and click up also how it feels to create workspaces etc so without further ado let's start both notion and click up are really cheap also they offer free account in notion you got it for personal unlimited pages and blogs shared with 5 guests in click up unlimited tasks unlimited members and then you got unlimited version which is monthly eighty dollars annually five dollars in notion for team you got ten dollars per member per month that's nine dollars here and annually it's eight dollars again they are really similar i mean one dollar here and there it's not so much but yes click up is a little bit cheaper even the monthly basis it's one dollar cheaper but here's the question are the features better in notion or click up in this part i'm going to show you what is the difference in creating a page and workspace in click up and also what kind of templates they both offer so i click here on a header page and now i can simply choose what i want i can click here on template and now i can choose between templates i'm going to stop right here i will try to get to this point with click up on the click app let's just create a space first and then we will add a template i can click add new space i can choose directly template but i want to have my own space first so space name is going to be youtube i click next i choose a logo then i can make it private or for the whole workspace now i need to what task status do you want this is like the templates that you can use let's say that i want to have kanban review i can go with done this is going to be green and i'm going to move it to done statuses now i can go to next so i'm going to have this template here now you can also enable click apps like time estimates prints if you want to milestones if you want to use it then you can simply click next again now you can choose the views i'm going to choose the default ones and then i'm going to show you in the further of the video how you can add multiple ones so we have list board calendar table now i'll just review space here and now i can simply see that i created click create space so right now you see the difference between creating a space in click up comparing to just adding a page in notion the the way how we can do it is completely different so there are completely two different project management tools when you're here on youtube i can click here on the free dots space settings and then just go to template center and browse templates and voila i think the notion is winning when we compare the templates when i come here to notion you can have let's go marketing brand assets and you can like meeting notes you can really choose and see what you're gonna get media list and it's beautiful right or content calendar so i'm going like media list in notion you have like this and also even this one is like kind of random and let's say that i want to go with the marketing and we can go with the social media posts let's see and now so what do we click here if you're going to choose add to workspace it will create a new workspace it's like i don't understand it but what we need to do is to click use template and then even when i click on the free dose that i want to make it on youtube and to check this out and i need to like create a new list let's go with marketing and look and this is what i don't like did you see that i just pressed enter because i expected intuitively that it's going to automatically add my template to that it didn't happen so browse templates again i need to go to marketing and you can say that this was my fault but i'm using clicker for really long time testing out and i'm seeing so many bugs for some reason now i go to social media post use template youtube see i don't even okay list name can be youtube yeah i don't understand it so youtube okay import everything imported as it is and we directly hit here okay now so explain me this do you see what i see and you do see here that it's in this space even when i clicked here on the space settings i went to template center browse templates i went to project management for example i can click add to workspace or i can click use template and i folder name i don't have a folder select location for this folder to be created youtube i want it on youtube use channel so do you see what i see and now it now it's here the project management but until that i didn't have it there so you see that right now the not even i don't like really the how it looks the templates but also the notion is more simpler and now what we can do media list use template just wait voila what you can do also when you would create your own page you click you'd go to product management you go to education you click on job application or class notes use this template it's going to be directly in the page you created you can say that notion is more difficult but right now i show that it's much simpler in this part i'm going to show you how you can add a new tasks so i click on new here and i can choose like task i can go here and open as a page and pages are called also tasks in a notion you can simply uh it's like page inception you got a task in a task and a task what do i mean by that is this it's so damn complex when we compare the task between click up and notion so i got task i got it when it's created class then i got to see the type here what you can add here reviewed so these are the two things that i see here right but when i'm going to open it i can also add different property or i can even add a command or i can go slash and add into my task or into my page another thing so let's say that you want to have in your page you want to have another page so in your task you want to have table right in line and you can edit here so what do i mean by that so let's say that you would have how much money i made in every single month and you wouldn't have it here you had a january february march and you can click on the march and then you would have all the stats here so it's completely different comparing to the others but maybe you will find it useful and that you will like it more then i can go again slash and i can add different things i can add a pdf file here right and a pdf so you can really play around it as much as you want i would even say it's like open source program but it's not right now open source but you know what i mean is that you can play with everything here in click up when you come here i click on a new task i go with a slash i can simply add it here type task name or add comments so let's task one i click on a task and you see here first you got description you can assign it to someone you can edit task edit dependencies you got the fields here this is similar to notion the fields that you have then you're going to see to do here that you can add a new subtask so i'm going to subtask one subtask two okay in here you got type class you can add a comment you don't have subtasks here in notion so this is the first thing i don't really see you don't even see it on the right side then to go further you can add attachments in click up and you can start time tracking so we can simply start timer here also you don't have it in notion so in ocean i don't see subtasks here directly when i open the task and also i don't see time tracking that's what click up has also you can use program like clockify or something so you can do it with that then let's go further to custom fields and to summarize this whole like if which i like more personally they are both different they're both great tasking in click up and in notion are both amazing because they're different if you need complexity in your task or in your page in page in notion gonna be great if you need simplicity time tracking subtasking in click up it's gonna be great too the next thing i'm going to compare are custom fields i can simply click on a click up here plus and i can add a check box date drop down menu even emails files formulas labels just complex everything in notion it's really similar let's close the pricing plan when i come here to notion i can again click plus here and i can add a property type text and right now i can add multi-select date person files checkbox email formulas relation roll up create time created by last edited just also everything so i would say that from the custom fields perspective from the columns perspective they are on the same level so let's say i'm going to add a formula right formula i can see simply choose the operators and i can simply choose which property i want then i can add with creating right it's not going to work but it's just like tutorial the example same with click up i come here i click plus i choose let's say formula your name is going to be formula we'll type add a column i click on it and then i just go spend and budget and i can click plus minus x or i can go with advanced editor and i can choose again functions here so they are really really similar i can even say that more of the same and then i can go with for example go with a progress bar here progress add a column right and play around in click up in notion and move go to plus and yeah so i don't really see the progress bar here so that's something quick up has over notion but yeah they're both great and i don't think that even when you choose notion uh when we talk about custom fields you're not going to make a mistake there are a few things missing like progress bar manual and automating yep i agree to that but other than that it's all right so let's go further to views this is where really fun begin views in notion and also in click up are similar but kind of different let me show you in ocean when you're going to add a page you have options to go with slash and now you can add table board gallery list calendar timeline but you have options to edit inline or full page what does it mean when i'm going to add let's say table in line what it means that i can actually add uh multiple tables in row or i can go with a slash i can go with the calendar i can go with the calendar inline so as you can see i can have my table here and calendar on one page so this is the first option what you can do in notion when i'm going to create again with a slash i can go with a full page and i can add like board full page what does it mean that i can't add anything else to that page because this is going to be locked up as a full kanban board page you understand it right so we have two options how you can actually do it now in click app you have everything in a space so i can click plus view here and i can add a list i can add a board i can add a calendar i can add a map or activity or box organt it's really up to you also what click up has over notion is mind map also table table you got me both get two timelined let's go here timeline you got two they got really similar but um 20 30 more i think click up has so gant mind map workload and also one thing i wanted to show you that you can actually add the docs what does it mean that you can have it similar as in notion right did i just press slash here and see i can add things here but in notion you got everything together in click up you have it on different levels but again in ocean you can have it also on different levels so you can have it like in different section here now what i want to show here is like kanban style so when i come here to board it's really similar new task this is a task i can move it and just move it somewhere same thing here i can just simply move it click new type name task and edit the task here as much as i want right so they're both quite simple and you can edit it as much as you want same when i would go here to calendar i can simply click monday mandate task and i got it here in recap i click plus view i add calendar add view and simply i can click plus this is a calendar click save and voila here we got it but do you see the difference so to summarize this whole click up has more views comparing to notion but in notion you can play around it as much as you want if you need map if you need activity if you need gund if you need i don't know mind map and amped i would go definitely with click up but other than that notion is just enough and it's good when we compare integrations i can say that clickable is kind of winning because notion doesn't have integrations as it own and how is that possible what you can do is to use automate.eo or you can use zapier to connect with multiple applications but that's same with click up you can use up here but click up has direct integration with time tracking apps with tableau github everything right you can also have a custom application here but yes in notion you can add like spotify playlist with google maps you can do that of course but still it can box sometimes and it can be that effective comparing to directly integrating with app on click up so i can say that click up is winning here but yes notion is all right even when you would add a trello or asana this like this topic really depends what do you actually need and that's pretty much it when i tried out and tested out notion and click up i definitely using notion like notion is completely dominating quicker when we talk about the google play or apple store application only because it's easy to use you can edit everything and it's fast click app is really great for just viewing the tasks not editing it's bugging like there are so many bugs and you can see it right here on our reviews and click up is also legency 2.0 that's like kind of better but still it's not that amazing comparing to notion that's what i believe so if you want to use it for your productivity tool on mobile or project management tool i would definitely go with the notion like there's just no talking about that and that's pretty much it let's go to the to the next and last part and that's what is my recommendation for you to use so what is actually my recommendation i would go definitely with notion not only for productivity but also for the project management not only that they got better application okay the integrations are not that great but the way you can play around it is just better comparing to click up i would definitely recommend click up if you want to have simple things but even then click up is kind of difficult you saw it in this video that just choosing the template took me a long time to figure it out by myself and now yes if you want to have a map you can integrate it for google map on notion yes if you need my map i would possibly choose a click up but they are both great softwares great tools but if you can go dive deep into notion it's going to be worth it i really believe in that even when you would check out a guy called august brotherly this is a beast in notion and just check his all his ways how he can how schedule and how he can play around with everything and it can be really useful so for example he got a timeline here and then he got a kanban boards right under it and i think that many people even said that when they invited guests to their notion it was much better comparing to click up they just could find everything in ocean so thank you very much everybody for watching if you have any questions ask me down in comments and the last thing that i will like also that in notion you can have everything in your task so when you would click on a task you can simply add all like every table here everything so that's really amazing so thank you very much everybody for watching have a great day guys and goodbye see ya
