[Music] hi everybody welcome back to my channel in today's video i want to talk about some more classic color combinations that always look chic i did this video um the first version a couple weeks ago and a lot of you agreed that you thought it could make a good series so that's what today's video is it is a continuation of that and hopefully the beginning of a new series i'm playing around with how to do this maybe i'll do it like i'm doing now where i share individual combinations or i'll do it by highlighting just one color and then all the ways that you can style and wear that so let me know what your preferences would be but for today we're going to talk about a couple combinations that i think always look fantastic so let's get started the first one on this list it features one of my absolute favorite colors and that is light blue this color is so beautiful i think that it goes with everything i think that it softens up even a winter outfit and i just think it's so timeless and classic and so i wanted to highlight specifically how this color looks with tan or camel because i think pairing those two together works every single time i just think that it softens it but still anchors it and just is unbelievably chic i think that when you wear lighter colors and specifically anything tam tan or camel i think that you just show real thoughtfulness for what you're wearing and the combination of that especially with a lighter color that you don't see all the time shows that you really understand your style so this is forever a favorite of mine something that i wear a lot and it's also a way that i personally use to kind of make camel or tan work better for me because my complexion is almost camel colored and so depending on how tan i am or how much makeup i'm wearing sometimes i can look really one-dimensional if i wear a lot of camel so by bringing in that lighter blue that i personally love it helps balance it a bit and it's a tip that i use for a lot of other colors in my wardrobe as well another color that i think looks fantastic with light blue is dark blue or navy and really any kind of shade of blue that's a little bit darker than the light blue that you're starting with and i think this gives a very similar effect to wearing camel and light blue because the balance of the two of them is just so effortless it shows that you really understand the colors that work for your style and i think anytime you choose navy or dark blue over black it helps you stand out a little bit plus i think it works better for certain places i talked about this in one of my recent videos i've been wearing more navy rather than black so that it suits where i'm living a little bit better and i just think it's really elegant and pairing again colors that are kind of in the same family but ones lighter and ones darker just makes it look so effortless and just really really deliberate which i love i think you really can't go wrong with this combination next is a color that i don't wear that often and it's something that i think at the moment i only have one thing in my wardrobe that actually is this color but it's something that i really want to add more in because every time i've worn it over the last couple years and experimented with it i feel really good but my hesitation is that it's such a bold color that it draws a lot of attention and sometimes that's not really what my style is about sometimes i like things to be a little bit more subdued but i think that red especially when paired with black will look good every single time no matter who you are no matter where you are i think you can find a balance of those two that complements you and i think just works just perfectly so this is something that i also really like because red it tends to be very vibrant and really eye-catching and sometimes a little over the top so by anchoring it with black or even navy if that's what your preference is i think that it just looks so great because it shows that you want to stand out but you don't want to be over the top about it and i think that that's a really really nice way to wear color i think red is also a really good color for experimenting with color so it's a safe neutral area i know a lot of color theorists believe that true red goes with everybody and it's something that looks good on everyone and i think you can find a shade of red that will complement you and always give you that impact so i think it can be really nice to incorporate in a handbag maybe a pair of shoes and especially when anchored with a color that you're comfortable with like black i think it looks fantastic speaking of colors that i don't have a lot of and things that i'm trying to incorporate more of and color that's just really speaking to me lately i want to talk about emerald green this really vibrant jewel tone green that isn't olive it's not like a primary green but it's somewhere in the middle and it's just really beautiful and a color that i've worn on and off over the last couple years as i've been able to find it i currently have that um ruffled kind of bruce shirt that has emerald green and white and then i also have a button down that's emerald green and every time i wear that color i feel really good it's a color that really works with my complexion and my hair color my eye color um also being half colombian i think it's a color that just works in general the color i'm always gravitating towards and something that i'm excited to see coming back more because i'm seeing it pop up a little bit more now in stores and online and i think that that is so good because i'll be able to get a couple pieces that will be able to carry me through the next couple years but specifically i think emerald green paired with white is just so beautiful you get the vibrance of the emerald but the freshness of the white and i think that it's a combination that you can wear any time in the year so you can always wear this in different materials and lengths and never feel too fall winter or to spring summer and i think that again for someone like me that likes things kind of in that middle ground a little bit neutral i think this is a beautiful way to play with color so i am all about the emerald green is something that i am on high alert for over the next couple months i definitely want to add a few more pieces because like i said every time i wear it i feel fantastic and i think that it's a color that isn't worn enough and isn't made enough but every time it pops up and i see people wearing it it looks good on so many people and i just think it's so so classic and last but not least is varying shades of gray but all worn together this is very much inspired by fall 2020 i'm starting to plan some fall videos even though it's still definitely summertime and very very hot but i love fall fashion so i want to have some of that coming up very soon and i've been noticing this pop up a lot and it's something that i'm personally really excited about because i love gray i think that gray comes in so many beautiful colors from a really dark dark gray to kind of a light almost white gray and i think that by wearing them all together it just looks fantastic i have never seen someone in an all gray look not just look like a million bucks so this one had to be included because it's something that i again want to incorporate more into my wardrobe i think i've got like two or three gray things in my closet and every time i wear them i feel perfectly right i don't feel too muted i don't feel too saturated i don't feel out of place it just feels very good and doesn't feel like it's got a trend or a time tied to it so i think that it's something you can invest in with confidence because for example a gray coat oh my gosh when you paired that with a gray sweater and gray pants and then a great ankle boot i think that you can look great forever literally now 20 years in the past 20 years in the future so it's something that i really really love because as you know i try to find things that i'll like for a long time and this is one that i've loved for many years and i'm excited to love even more for fall and there you have it those are some more classic color combinations that i think always look fantastic i hope that you're liking this mini series there's been two videos now but i really love this and i like playing around with color and i like encouraging people to wear color and find the colors that really work for you so i hope that this is helpful and definitely let me know if you prefer it in this style with the colors paired or if you want me to focus on just one color i can go into the different versions of that color and then maybe how you can pair it that with different colors and then how you can incorporate that into your wardrobe and customize it to you so let me know what you prefer and i will work these accordingly and like always thank you so much for watching and i'll see my next one have a great day [Music] you
