Class C Motorhome RV Living FULL TIME!

[Music] hey everybody i'm robin and i'm mikko and we're wander open roads hey so we're really excited about our collaboration with big truck big rv and we're here today to talk about our channel so what is our channel about wander open roads is about us and we are a married couple we are recently full-time rvers now and uh we have a 2019 integra esteem 29v class c motorhome that we are traveling the country in along with our can-am spyder rt limited so we do a lot of videos related to rv life and also motorcycle life so we like to travel around the country and record and vlog as we go so that we can share our journey and our adventures with everyone absolutely yeah and we also like to do reviews on different campgrounds that we visit and also different products that we buy you know for rv life because uh you know people want to know currently we are staying at carolina landing rv resort in fairplay south carolina which is near lake hartwell this is a thousand trails campground and we are thousand trails members yeah yes we are you know this this campground is really nice for us because it's relatively close to our home base in atlanta and it's also near the cherokee foothills scenic highway which is fantastic for motorcycle rides and has a lot of great hiking spots beautiful waterfalls and all kinds of stuff it's really really a hidden gem if you ever get in this area so overall we gave this park three out of five stars and we're actually going to talk about our rating system here's the rating system we are at carolina landing and they receive three out of five stars we have 10 different categories each category is a half a point each so they receive checks for tree cover for amenities for wi-fi and ota for having a level site and for the cost of thirty dollars per less being this is thousand trails for us and for having full hookups we have a 2019 integra esteem 29v class c motorhome it's 32 and a half feet long with a gvwr of 14 500 pounds and a towing capacity of 7 500 pounds it has a ford e450 chassis with a triton v10 gas powered engine it has frameless tinted windows 2 slide outs 2 ac units and 30 amp service our integra features full body paint which was really important to us we wanted to make sure that we had a nice looking rig that would be you know something that would stay beautiful for a long time also some features that i really love are the slam latch storage compartments so here we are in the outdoor living section of the rig this is uh one of my favorite areas definitely we have we have an outdoor tv which we really enjoy with our zero gravity chairs which are definitely a must for us we really love sitting out here watching tv listening to music we eat out here quite a bit so it's just a really enjoyable area we also have these uh screens here that really help to keep this area cool and to keep the the sun okay so now let's start on the inside so first the kitchen so first of all we have a really nice rv refrigerator this will work off of your electric or propane so you know we can we can turn it on as we're driving down the road and keep our keep our food cold and once we get to the site we can we can plug in and then switch it to ac so it's perfect freezer and refrigerator lots of storage love it next thing here we have a really nice uh full-size residential microwave which is great and there is plenty of storage here in the rig for our for our food so really nice uh storage compartments here and mikko has really done an excellent job in organization with these baskets i believe she she got these baskets from big lots so you know very reasonably priced these right here for holding dishes and also these clear baskets here so that things don't move around too much and she also lined these shelves with i don't know if you can see that this is some of that kind of non non-slip type of uh material so that the food doesn't move around on travel days so that's a big deal so we do a lot of cooking in our rig we we do some barbecuing outside but we actually use the cooktop the stove we try to eat healthy we try to eat kind of regular everyday food you know every day is not burgers and not dogs on the grill you know it'd be nice if it was but you know that's just not realistic for us so we do a lot of cooking here and we love it so next we have our loft we're really happy to have this space uh you know we have a class c so this is this is this is something that is inherent with class c's when our son comes to uh stay with us he he always stays here he loves to sleep in here this in the integra this actually has a 750 pound capacity which is which is much higher than most class cs i believe most class c's are around the 350 pound range so 750 pounds you could easily have two adults up here no problem one thing that um we did that well i just i just had to do was i put in a larger tv this originally came with a 32 inch this is a 42 inch so i just came in here with a with a new bracket a new swing out bracket and i also added the sound bar here okay so this is the living room area of the coach and we actually decided to replace the uh the original sleeper sofa that came in the rig with this thomas payne love seat these are actually reclining uh chairs which is great it's super comfortable and then i also added um just a little area here for remote controls and for your telephone you know things of this nature and also cup holders which are very conveniently placed one on each side so you know have to make it like home okay so here we are at the dinette so the first thing i i want to feature that i really love is our coffee bar this is this is something really cool that mikko came up with we have our keurig here which i absolutely love we have our k-cups i'm a coffee drinker she's not but uh you know we have we have coffee we have hot chocolate we have hot tea and hot apple cider so we have all that stuff there we have a couple of different sugars there underneath so this is this is portable and on travel days we can actually stick it up up under the the table for easy storage so this is the dinette and it's really kind of a dinette slash work area for us we we both work from the road so you see we have our our laptop set up here we have our uh cellular booster there so we usually keep our keep our phones nearby and then one neat thing that we did is actually underneath here we actually have a printer that we can use we have some books and things stored and then we have office supplies and we have a charging station welcome to our bedroom we have a queen rv mattress tv and plenty of storage space for all of our clothes in the attic [Music] we actually keep all of our extra linen up here having an rv and a class c our space is actually pretty limited so we have to really organize since now we're full timing and we have to have rain you know clothes for multiple seasons so one we have um shoe racks in both of our closets to be able to carry and house all of our shoes and we're able to have a decent amount of clothes mostly you know kind of fall wintry you know as we go into different seasons um i have baskets in my closet for all of my beauty supplies and it goes all the way back so i have three baskets and then at the top is where i keep my hoodies camera bags purse and all of that so we're really trying to maximize the space in our closets here is our split bathroom combo we have the shower on this side and then the rest of the restroom on this side so let's take a [Music] look so we don't have a lot of counter space but we try to keep it clear so that you know we can operate and we keep everything in the cabinet and we've added extra shelves in here to accommodate all of our toiletries [Music] here are the top five things that we like and in some cases love about the rv lifestyle one is that we get to do all of this rving as a couple i love the fact that as we travel we're having these different experiences that we're able to experience it together and i personally think that it has helped our marriage and really brought us closer as a couple all right and number two we're trying to maintain a active lifestyle so rving actually puts us closer to destinations where we can get out and be active so for example when we go to the state parks we really like to hike and if there's a location that has a lake then we can go out and kayak and then of course daily we're doing our exercising outside of our rv all right number three travel yes rving travel is to me the best of all worlds because personally i'm the type of person that i do not like staying in hotels and i don't like eating at restaurants all the time so with the rv i'm able to sleep in my own bed i'm able to cook my own food and next is freedom yeah since we've started full timing the rv has provided us so much freedom to be able to travel wherever we want whenever we want yeah it's great and to be able to work from the road and just you know do the things that we need to do and you know just focus on the important stuff focus on being together and focus on you know living the life that we want to lead okay so now that we have done the inside and outside tours let's talk about the things that we just can't live without the upgrades that we've done that have just really made a big difference starting with this reclining loveseat has made all the difference in the world absolutely yeah it's been it's really super comfortable and you know we like to watch tv and you know it's nice to have you know kind of that theater style seating which brings us to number two the big 42 inch tv upgrade that i did from the the original 32 inch that the rig came with to the 42 inch with the sound bar uh so yeah that's been a big improvement also and number three is our montana hybrid mattress by wilderness rv and the last thing i would have to say would be our our screens that we added on the outside yes our sun blocker our carefree sunblocker shades yeah definitely so what's next for wander open roads well we're relatively young in our full-time rv life and honestly we really haven't traveled that far we've mostly traveled in the southeastern united states and what's next is for us to push forward so we want to see every inch of this beautiful country all directions north south east and west and we
