shopping scene clarksville definitely deserves a top spot on your day trip or weekend getaway bucket list additionally there's plenty of culture and cuisine to make every traveler happy overall there's a good mix of things to do and keep you busy but it all retains its small town charm that allows you to relax a little bit so here is the list of the 10 best things to do in clarksville to dunbar cave you're missing out on one of the absolute coolest places tennessee has to offer literally and figuratively more than eight miles of cave passages have been mapped here so far and the parts of the cave that are open to the public are fascinating to behold what's most interesting to me though is this cave's history there's evidence of human activity here dating back thousands of years and you can actually see native american petroglyphs and pictographs inside the cave in fact dunbar cave is the only publicly owned cave in the u.s where you can view ancient native american art outdoor amphitheater and miles of hiking trails the fishing pond is everyone's favorite for fishing boating or just enjoying the serene view of the water and native plants growing around there is also greenway clarksville greenway is a wide asphalt trail near clarksville that is nine miles long both ways it is mostly flat with two hills towards the end that make it a bit more strenuous it is very popular with families bikers hikers and inline skaters the trail runs through an old rail bed north of clarksville along a creek with tall mature trees offering a good amount of shade there are benches along the trail as well as several lookouts besides providing enjoyment to the local population the greenway provides a buffer for the red river and the stream running alongside there are two
