Cisco SG300-10PP Basic Configuration L2&L3

okay so let's see I have a ordered a Cisco small business the ten port sg-1 300 because I need my access points to connect with AP we switch so let's see what's inside again okay this time there is a CD Quick Start Guide let's see probably power and the switch itself and mounting brackets foreigners for in Iraq now personally I would have liked that the adapter was included in the switch so make this weight better and bigger and I think you could fit in me and after there like the normal 2452 switch but okay yeah let's so it's with an adapter also I don't like these I like to have a normal standard power connector what is it C 13 or C 14 also a commutation cable switch itself you have some plugs to mount it on the wall some small pits and inside all the screws also for I think for the mounting bracket so the switch the mounting brackets on here on the side again here that's fine I mean see it's not heavy so I don't understand again why you don't put in the adapter on and side switch keep it small well okay there are mounting brackets so I like a bigger switch with power included that's my opinion so so let's go and put it up connect my access points on it and configure it with four in my network environment and well I'll show you maybe a little bit of the interface but pretty much the same thing for every SG series so everything is connected to my network the switch will get a IP address from the DHCP if you don't connect with a dhcp of you don't have one then you should configure it using the default IP address which is one eye two one six eight point one point two five four so let's go ahead and login default this is cisco cisco and the first thing you get is you have to change your classroom so let's go ahead and do that always change it then you get a few and setup here a quick access here and the device status here let's go ahead and go in the first one so default HTTP and HTTPS enable but if you want to configure to a dalit or SSH you can enable it here if you are at cisco certified you probably are faster in configuring it with a telnet session or as as a chasm then in the web interface here so the other one is change your device IP address so let's go ahead it's default on VLAN 1 let's go ahead and change it to a default one mine is going to be on 62 you can enable look back at face give it a different IP address and the default cage we can change you also but that's fine for me it doesn't need one but sometimes handy if you want to go and configure the time server and such so let's go ahead and click apply here and it should now be able to be checked first if I complain to removal other this goes automatically to do IP address so walking again let pass what you set up then you can do some quick settings like location let's say it's this one so I don't know if you the rest of the settings of passwords and the rest of it see it's gone I did save so I don't know why it's changed everything so let's see if we kept my nope everything is gone here even these device IP address let's go now changing it is little bit weird so you can change it here to static you can't choose that liquid to keep this address probably can change it through the way down etc as as a chasm go look it up so also I can't add a second one so let's say I want to do on VLAN 1 also static address here and let's say let's go ahead and do this one and it will come up with duplicate IP interfere in the same subnet so it's not possible so I can delete it also because I lose my connection with the switch let's say I want to go and that and put it on the port then can we add No so it's a little bit weird what I can do is probably on feet on one put it on another suck knowledge let's see yes that works so let's go ahead and change our IP address to this range let's see if we can remove this one and add one back and D and mine original range here so let's go ahead and do that so I'll change it and indeed I can go to that IP address address now with the correct one click apply close there this now let's go ahead and go back to my original IP address that one yes it's working let's go ahead and close this one and go back to the IP address and remove this one that's it like I said you probably can do it fast to down at session to come online but this is why the way you can do it with corporation website don't forget to always
