Cisco DNAC WiFi 6 readiness dashboard overview

[Music] hi and welcome to bazbytes my name is matt okuma i am a systems architect at cisco and i'm going to cover a really quick video today around an innovation or a new feature for our dna center two one one release it was actually highlighted during some of the cisco live broadcasts and that is in our dna assurance section i'm to show you the wi-fi 6 readiness dashboard so super exciting to see this i think i've done a couple videos showing the advantages of wi-fi 6 and some of the things and great things it can bring to your network your wireless network but how do you know when it's actually makes sense or how ready you are for wi-fi six in your wireless infrastructure big question everyone asks well um you know we're making it very very easy cisco is to actually determine when that makes sense so let's dive in here and take a look real quick so i'm logged in here this is a lab system there's going to be a couple dashboards that aren't fully filled out because it's it's a it's a new new thing coming out and this is lab so this is sort of the new interface you're going to see really really some really nice ui enhancements but i'm going to go to the actual assurance section here and i'm going to click on this new dashboard called wi-fi 6. so right away when i click on this what you're going to see under insights here is that 12.5 of my clients on the wi-fi network right now are capable of wi-fi six so as newer devices come out and people get newer devices that are wi-fi six capable this will give you an idea of how many clients can actually take advantage of wi-fi six and there's a lot of benefits which we covered in the previous videos and i encourage you go to bazbytes and check those check those out if you haven't seen them yet so you can understand how big of a benefit this would be to your clients if they could utilize that y56 chipset if they had it so this does a really good job right away i've shown you um right now this network doesn't have that many clients on it but you know as soon as you get critical mass or 30 or 40 percent of your clients that are capable it absolutely makes sense to consider moving to wi-fi six also we can see that thirty percent of my aps are wi-fi ready and then it gives some recommendations on code and different stuff if you wanted to enjoy the benefits of wi-fi six to upgrade too so making it really really easy to plan that upgrade out and giving you insights on when it would make the most sense just to go over the dashboards real quick some of the quick dashboards we have client distribution by capability so the inner circle here is all the different clients color wise you know five 11 ac clients two clients that are 11 in and then we one client that is wi-fi six capable and it's actually the outer ring shows you how many are actually associated and using wi-fi six so that shows you really quickly there obviously on a normal network you would have thousands and thousands of clients and this data would look really really interesting the wi-fi six readiness network readiness here this actually shows all your ap so here 13 aps total same concept we have nine of them that are non wi-fi six aps but we do have four that are in all four operating in wi-fi six mode and then same thing kind of here on operating on the type of protocol and we see we have four of those aps likewise operating um in wi-fi six these two dashboards aren't filled out here but i'll try to do a subsequent video when we get some better data here um just want to give you a real first look at this since it was mentioned during cisco live broadcast we have wireless airtime efficiency and what these are going to do is actually give you some insights if we look at different types of traffic voice video best effort background all traffic what it would do what it will do is give you the latest in the trend of this really showing you the airtime efficiency of the clients on your network and then likewise latency same concept voice video best effort etc and then the trends so good data here just wanted to give you a quick look so in conclusion in conclusion this video just give you a quick look at the new wi-fi six uh dashboard that's available in the latest will be available on the radio solution dna center assurance just to give you some great insights on if your network is ready for wi-fi six so making it really easy to to give you insights into your wi-fi network thanks again for joining please subscribe to our youtube channel at cs dot co slash baz bytes so that you can catch these videos and live streams that are ongoing helping you keep up to date on your great cisco products thank you [Music] you
