Christina Ricci Gets Real About Going Broke After Child Stardom

I've actually gone through periods as an adult where we were really really broke and you just have that thing of like I don't ever want to feel this way again Christina RI getting real about facing financial hardship despite a successful acting career there's a lot of difficult things to to navigate and survive if you will in this industry the star opens up about it all on the let's be clear with Jan and dority podcast detailing the pressures she faced to support her family I've actually gone through periods as an adult where we were really really broke like it's a visceral feeling I don't ever want to feel this like helpless there's a ton of that pressure and it's hard it definitely is because you have to work to support your family but at the same time you working takes away time from your family but now Christina says she's been able to find a happy medium I'm in a pretty good place now again I have like a really supportive husband and I figured out a way of at least bringing my son with me places and just have to work it out in the future with my daughter over the last few years the actress has been busy at work one of her most recent roles Misty on Yellow Jackets she's hiding something everybody's hiding something I think it's so fun and I love the way she dresses the show debuted in late 2021 which she says was a time that had her feeling very insecure when I started doing press for yellow jackets and having to post on social media images of myself just even as somebody over 40 I had a really hard time the Instagram Beauty standard that you see where you see like other people retouching your photographs it was so hard for me but we have to find ways to navigate it where it doesn't emotionally drag us down while Christina is finding ways to ignore the pressures of social media she found herself back in the spotlight in 2022 for another project with the release of Wednesday a spin-off series of The Adams Family the very film that skyrocketed Christina into child stardom where's your costume this is my costume I'm a homicidal maniac they look just like everyone else she's a no emotion little girl she doesn't show lots of happiness she's scheming she loves she loves to be suspicious of people playing Wednesday has been a huge part of my life and career so fun to carry it on that Spirit you know um so I'm so happy to be here in this new Incarnation good evening girls I'm Miss Thornhill I trust Enid has given you the old never more welcome you're passing this torch to Jenna Ortega what was your reaction to her interpretation of a character that you know means so much to you well Jenna is such a wonderful actress and she's so smart and self-possessed and she just was Wednesday I'm just so impressed with her as a person as an actress she's the you know a perfect Wednesday every generation needs a Wednesday she's the perfect Wednesday for this time in my personal opinion Wednesday will never get any better I have immense respect for her and I think she will always be Wednesday in my eyes may I have the salt what do we say [Music] now
