CHINA vs. USA Military RATION Comparison

so why everyone just have a real good look does it it looks like an aborted fetus [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hale awareness is loud and six-year another video and I'm moving the mic towards you this time cuz everyone says you're too quiet yeah I couldn't be loud anyway I want to say first off it's just the serendipity of YouTube and this is why I like YouTube so much one of my favorite channels Steve's MRE reviews 1989 I stumbled across this channel I have no idea why because I've never been interested in this but I went down a black hole for so many hours so thank you Steve for providing me so much entertainment but simultaneously ruining a lot of my days he basically reviews military rations from around the world and you can just see when someone puts dedication and effort into their channel it's like really impressive and I became his patron got a hold of him and asked him some recommendations on MREs I was like what kind of rations would be fun for us to compare China versus America right so instead of just giving me some advice he sent us a massive box of rations for free Steve you are the man and thank you so much and we've actually put together a deadly duo today we're gonna talk about American soldier was out in the in the bush you know fighting a war with China split us apart you know we got two very similar dishes that a Chinese PLA soldier mm-hmm would eat dad jeans how so jeans how fun is just fried rice dodgy means everything in it is everything in it it is self heating because it says here next we have the American menu number two the chicken spicy oriental with rice now how perfect is that because these are almost the same menu we can kind of just imagine these two countries are at war and they're eating the same thing in the battlefield who's gonna stay more nourished who is going to win the war yeah well remember when we're a little every single kid every year we need to go to the army bases to our training right and then we actually go to eat there honestly not really let's get this out onto a plate do the honors thank you okay this is already higher tech you can see this is a peelable seal so apparently I could actually this you open yours faster so that that might have been better oh I see it's like this see you already China's winning cuz they're two got their food out so here we're gonna have all the American stuff eat caramel apple Ranger bar TFS we've got a desert - nice bit right next and this one is Tong sweet Bordeaux means it's just like sweet Thai pineapple sweet pineapple yeah should we should we put them in the plate first well let's build the plate oh it just crumbles apart look at that it's got a little do not eat silica silica gentle thing there what's this very handy already I am getting quite the smell from your heart I got a whole bag my spoon is bigger than yours just let you know I don't think so oh it is what are they trying to say I had my condiment beg your condiment bag was just this one we have a moist towelette you're just going dry what's that looks like oh it's toilet paper I got toilet paper in case you after food poisoning you need to go to back I feel like that should be in yours I got a book of matches and it work it's not even a brandy ration I got a packet of sugar yeah we got me then pull the battery what are you waving the flag already waving the white flag you give up this is camper or sorry creamer non-dairy dry so this is four grams of non-dairy creamer for your coffee this is hot sauce okay I got hot did you get how sucks because I'm waiting for an item that we can match up with you I got let's put that on the edge of our on the edge of our plate then whoa I almost ripped that on the dessert okay this looks like more of a yeah Tabasco type that's just smells like cheap Tabasco sauce that's not one's ears yeah that smells awful that smells like dog food this is a freeze-dried coffee so I got coffee I got a drink too you got a drink the cool thing about this is this instant coffee says that I can use cold water hot or cold water that's pretty convenient next I had a couple of pieces of gum which I thought was awesome how nice is that we are kicking China's ass right now okay next I got a nut raisin mix this is a peanut raisin mixes I got 350 calories if they're real licensed M&M because they don't have em they don't so we have fake M&Ms I got caught young you'll roll Oh Jeong your oh it's just dry it's more like a jerk I mix them with the sugar water oh you can just pull it out of there it's fine I just want everyone I'm gonna just pick this up my why everyone just have a real good go is it it looks like an aborted fetus okay I also have a lemon-lime beverage I have a lemon-lime beverage I have a lemon-lime drink just like you the Chinese one Oh smells like urine and kool-aid it actually looks like TV that smells like your good that's not pistols like a popsicle like a lime pop that's not we'll put that right there I have cranberries sliced this only has 190 calories weight cranberry oh my god baked cake oh my gosh dude that is like listen to that that's like punching the wall let me break that on a plate oh there's stuff inside hey it looks like a moon cake is probably leftover moon cakes that people didn't want sweet cool and then now we have the main event so let's do I have a self-heating or just you just open it up oh and two 16 ounces of hot water oh man mine's not so heating you have technology well I'm gonna go work on this okay they said like I put water in this bag soon I'll take over take over I'm scared the chemicals are heating it right up whoa that is a bit creepy all right baby I'm one advantage after waiting all this time is finally took 10 minutes and it looks like it's done I'm gonna pour this in the bowl while you're still goes okay yeah oriental rice let's get her right okay whoa actually doesn't look that bad I mean it does a little it does kind of look like poop but it's not a true fish I think it looks turn there right doesn't looks like cooked inside of here oh that's still really hot you can see these ah I really don't know well that's we followed the time you can see the heat pets it's literally burning me this thing is really scaring the crap out of me by the way it's sizzling so bad and it's like smells like chemicals what in God's name is that Oh freaking bag all right so let's eat this like it would be a normal meal okay so me and you are out there with our guns I'm gonna start off with a little Cheers here Cheers my American delicious juice might be terrible this is believe it or not this is not very sweet that's mine that's yours mine is supposed to be added to way more water than yours which is weird but it tastes much more like a melted popsicle this holy crap it's still burning oh my gosh is melting to the table this smells exactly like it tastes it tastes horrible he's like like lime that's gross next after I take a sip what would you do I'm gonna chow down my food all right so I got a spoon here one and ding ding ding kit we're not in the cove nickel morning I'm gonna get a piece of chicken in mine oh that looks like Chinese sausage yeah looks pretty good too you know what that's pretty damn good I would actually eat that for fun how about yours not bad mine's very salty the chicken tastes like soup chicken like Campbell's soup it tastes better than like a canned soup it's pretty good feels like someone put their heart and soul into it what about yours so this is oh it looks like a cake I'm hungry should I get a little pee yeah also not bad you didn't mind I see I like that no too salty it looks it tastes like something you shouldn't eat no no no I thought it was pretty good probably because the mushroom is overtaking I just taste like third really fair enough I'm gonna give this the American rice give this seven out of ten I'm gonna give yours a six out of 10 just because it has a lot less flavor it's me this one is much more bland I definitely don't like that it's five out of ten probably this can be six out of ten awesome okay we finished our meal we're out on the battlefield we're out hiding a tree somewhere is that what they do I think I need some protein you need some protein I really what do you call this huge massive nuts way more protein than what you have I guarantee it Abbi all right let's do this fine I'm gonna eat my my my jerky that is not jerky that looks so bad okay this first of all the American nuts I'm so boring there's absolutely nothing there just a sec Trail Mix which I don't like I like nuts but I don't like them mixed in with raisins and I like this one else let's try the board to copy this all right wouldn't you surprised if that's what's that tastes pretty good let's save some that for some other people to try that would be something I like no actually I would eat that but so just go to supermarket they do have this kind of packaging that's not bad you got to get a piece you gotta get an M and then nozzle that's good not taste weird I know they're kind of it takes off yeah they're not rotten they just don't taste like nuts should so for these nuts I'm gonna give these at two out of ten I don't like those at all for your beef I've bee fetus I thought that was pretty damn good I'm gonna give that an eight yeah yours is one other 10-9 now to tell you're just trying to win though I let's beat let's stop joking around look at the size of these plates I don't care if I'm out and I'm like damn this pace really good you're starving to death well I you said I didn't I'm gonna try some these cranberries that fruit for the fruit portion those are pungent edges regular it maybe I'm just not used to eating them because I don't eat a whole lot of fried is it the same you see I'm no cranberry is a very strong to me Missy okay cool that's not bad try your deliciousness don't stave it off hey first of all I already hate canned food and now is this sugar water pineapple okay let me try that it looks awful I don't know is that because I just had your cranberry it tastes nice no you can drink some of your year and wash your mouth though oh that is ancient that tastes freaking oh wow that's a one I give the cranberries of five yeah I can't give you that five in one it tastes like a memory of a taste if that makes sense you know when you remember something like you know the best this group described is like you're tasting a fruit Corp yeah it's cool but it's still there yeah you let you like left it out for your ancestors the spirits already been eaten and they left you with this shell of disgusting soggy flaccid disgusting [Music] now I still have a dessert oh you have a dessert as well yeah cool you know what's funny is I thought you had less items to me but it's just because your plate looks so sad it looks like excuse of aggression if any Chinese soldier is out there they're dying on the battlefield before they ever gets us us you know well kind of buffed up protein those guys are too big and weird just like is that excuse me this is what you're giving your army give me a freakin break all right let's try the desert this was the ranger bar which was the it was a peach cobbler type thing it smells like Quaker Oats and those instant oatmeal packs remember those and that's great I'll try that out it's taste like normal food doesn't taste like you know it doesn't taste like a rash you need to suffer right now you're not gonna be able to enjoy this but because I am enjoying my dessert I'm gonna have a sip of coffee yeah it's great it's really good my it's not wet apparently have raisin and not some flour in it honestly not so bad it looks so bad no depends on you don't like the taste rina rina do have this kind of dessert from doing them it's awful but it's awful to me it tastes like rose cake from you now yeah and if you like that you're probably like that damn that batter exactly the batter is very good pretty rich but it tastes exactly like eating sounds like it's actually crispy no but it really tastes awful like eating a flower but if you like that okay right I'm gonna be fair if for food quality it's I'm gonna give it a 5 I can't get rid of 6 okay now I'm gonna equal [Music] bonus round final round we're gonna take some of the rice and then dip it into our hot sauce okay you try yours it goes perfectly actually tastes more like a Frank's redhot mix with Tabasco and it does really hide the flavors of it being processed I'm going to give that a 7 I thought that's pretty good together let's try yours which I don't think will work very well with hot sauce that's way better now so something tastes like dog food only smells like it yeah um oh yeah I give that an 8 that's really good I think hot sauce mine next to that rice mine's a lot spicier that's for sure and you don't like vinegar stuff what do you give it come on up bad 3a3 just find a hazelnut hey need to save some laughs I know you won on the taste like your ration your PLA soldiers won but I have to reiterate oh that doesn't even matter your soldiers are gonna die they're gonna die they're absolutely gonna die oh how is that gonna get you through a day that was there's one it has way more to it it's definitely more professional it's got more additives you have more tools you have your cleaner right got this moist towelette that I can wipe up with right now while you're just gonna be dirty I still have my napkin the food quality of the American Russian tastes like it's higher like that it's definitely cleaner it's definitely fresher and things like that but the taste and I think it's because they're avoiding using so many preservatives in the American one the taste of the Chinese one it's not necessarily the freshest food but it tastes pretty good good he's really authentic yeah I was thinking like the ration food suppose like you need to feel suffer because you're bad or something no they're really good some of yeah they're not that that debt Corp that the pineapple is terrible no spirit just arrived Corp I don't like to do collabs most of the times because I feel like it's difficult to find an audience that will be interested in other person's content but I and that's why I rarely do it but I can't hold I can't recommend Steve's channel enough it's really cool so go check that out I mean like the two normal people this is something you never you'll never see right it's a way to peer into another country it's a really interesting thing to to see I wish like we can experience some more for example like you know I want to like really random countries in mongol and it reminds me probably they have a larger yeah they probably do actually either way I hope you know my friends that have joined the military in America I guess my family different stories completely different reasoning and it's really interesting stuff to go check out our channel after this
