hey there viewers and welcome back to the South Main Auto channel so got a fresh one off the hook here uh it just got towed in uh it was supposed to be here earlier this morning uh by 8:00 but it's 9:30 so we're getting a bit of a late start um but I didn't uh it's snowy outside and I didn't want to push it in so I was waiting for the tow truck driver uh to get here so he can just dump it inside and we did that the guy called the other day uh it is a crank no start um he knew it was low on fuel so he put a couple gallons in it gas gaug is still on empty um but he does know there's three or four gallons in it it cranks fine it does not start uh I advised him to get under there and whack on the bottom of the tank while his wife cranked it over uh so he did that and it still didn't start uh which I was kind of hoping it did maybe you know save him the tow truck ride I don't know if the fuel pump is bad but it was just a guess and it is the most common thing on these shivy trucks to go bad so I thought we'd get give that a try but as I say it didn't work so it's here now so I thought I'd bring you guys along and hopefully we can figure out what's going on with it it still may be a fuel pump or it may be something else something sweet uh so I'll bring you along and show you the procedure which I would use if I wasn't on camera uh on a crank no start so the simplest place to start oops oh Auto ID uh simplest place to start for us is to do a quick scan to see if we have any codes make sure we don't have any kind of security issues or anything like that uh this only takes a minute before we dive into it uh lost comom with fuel pump control module imagine that all right so we got a u0109 uh for the fuel pump driver module I think we've already done a video on this if I remember right didn't we Let's uh let's take a look while we're right here see if we can find a a video that helps us I'm pretty sure that we had done this let's see but this baby get loaded up pause this I'm not signed in here uh I think it was a black Chevy truck we did I thought a you I don't remember the symptoms I remember going through and programming it oh okay so this was uh this was a Chevy truck we did that had the fuel pump where it was running super rich 0% yeah we put the uh fuel pump control module in it that was on a Silverado that's right all right well little uh little different symptoms probably the same problem but yeah it just kind of rung a bell with me all right let's chase this baby down all right so you can see there that very quickly gave us some direction uh I'm sure if we check it we've got no fuel pressure it says it can't talk to the fuel pump driver module uh I say at this point driver module hides underneath the truck on this let's just raise it up uh go underneath visual inspection make sure it's just not physically damaged and then uh kind of take it from there whether it's going to be you know checking poers SC B and com wire at the fuel pum driver module and then calling it getting a new one putting it in programming it shifing this baby down the road before we get uh super far here we will check to see if we can talk to the fuel pump driver module yeah we do indeed have a NOC so I just wanted to 100% verify that so back here underneath the truck by the spare tire is our uh fuel pump control module I uh took and left the key on I've got our scan tooler here uh first thing we're going to do is just wiggle the connector we'll see if uh just had of curiosity oo got a lot of crusty coming out of there I would take the spare tire now but this is a Chevy truck and we all know that the spare tire will not come out of it without a cutting torch so we'll just uh we'll give her a little wiggle here sorry for the shaky video just out of curiosity see if we've got any c no we don't all right we might have to uh take the cutting torch and pop the uh spare tire out of it so we can get to our connector here cuz I don't think we're going to be able to get it open all the way see you see any green boogers coming out of it we might might be able to get that past the tire I don't know if we let the air out of the tire definitely in a kind of a tough spot to be honest with you gets a lot of junk and crap back here all right definitely no C all right let's see what we can do so I think what uh what can happen is uh so these spare tires in these trucks they don't come out after after one year in New York you'll never get your spare tire out uh they have a safety latch on the mechanism so when the cable rots out it catches the tire and keeps it from falling off unfortunately that safety latch seizes up and the tires don't come out or very rarely come out I'm not hating on Chevy I'm just saying that's just the fact life uh what we'll do though is we can let the tire down if the tire doesn't come out we can let it down enough to give us some room to get the connector on hooked so we can check it for you know Powers grounds and see if we actually have uh any uh data coming back here make sure we just don't have a broken wire yeah so spare tire came down about uh about 2 in and then I hit the loot tighten it up and then release it again just just see no it's going to give us all we need I ain't going to piss around with it all day usually if people break down they need the tire out I bust up torch so now with the tire out of the way or down a little bit here we're going to unplug it all the way just for visual inspection got a look at the connector don't see any green crusties growing in it here have a look at the module itself see if it's physically broke or swollen which I don't see right off hand I'll get a mirror I'll take a peek up above uh up on top of it just to see and then uh there's some dirt and crap on the connector but not on the inside of the connector and we'll get us a diagram see if we can figure out what's going on back here just for the heck of it we'll see if there is any data being displayed on it there is not all right so not just a simple uh connector problem where did my light go we took my light what do we do with the light don't worries I got it uh I got you guys in about the best position I can put you in without getting dripped on uh I got a wir diagram we're going to take and unplug this little F right here and I've also got our handy dandy test light this is my 3.6 amp test light and it doesn't look like we've got much going on back here um we got a grounded pin one I should have got a connector pin out uh so we've got a black wire and then a red with white which it's going to be hot at all times so pin one and pin 32 there's our red with white and there's our should be our black I think they're right side by side anyways they are so it's these two big Honky Tonks right here row I don't see any I don't see any light action there folks this is why we test don't guess hopefully our light here is good it should be last I used it it was famous last words all right now what do we got do we got a bad ground or do we got a loss of power be embarrassing if it just a fuse um I mean unless the module went bad sna a fuse so let's find another power source ignition pin 15 it is a [Music] pink let's see got numbers on this little [Music] guy well we got a couple pinks it's a great big pink we'll assume it's that one it's that big pink there on the ground nothing let me just check this let me just try grounding it to the frame here let's see make sure find something clean no sir all right and that is the only let me just 100% verify this as confident as we can be there that is the ground we got nothing going on back here ladies and gentlemen time to move our diagnostic into a uh different strategy I just want to make 100% sure I am getting a good ground I just quickly tested the test light it works fantastic nice and bright so we're just going to verify it appears we have no power back here because this is obviously a good ground or nice shiny metal I'll go back on the ignition feed wire and again nothing which is kind of odd that you know that it could have blown two fuses the ignition feed and the full-time battery power one's a 20 amp one's a 15 amp like I suppose I mean if it's shorted internally or something but let's uh let's just go up under the fuse box it says here uh underhood fuse box uh ECM ignition fuse 56 and fscm uh so your fuel pump control module fuse 21 so let's just go there oh it's raining all right so we'll see if we can't find according to our diagram F 56 56 does it line up here ignition ECM 15 amp does fuse 21 find out where that little guy's hiding right there 21 FS CM so our diagram matches our truck diagram so let's grab our handy dandy scope on a rope oh let's find a ground here's a ground strap back here we'll hook right on to that little guy we've got power oh still raining under here what do we say number 21 where are you number 21 is up here power no power power no power so our 20 amp fuse is blown the diagram's getting wet what do we have number 56 is down here got power on that side power on that side that's pretty interesting why in the Thunder did we not have power back to there fuse 56 ECM ignition 15m make sure I'm reading this correctly that's what it says and that is supposed to be hot in the Run crank hot with the Run crank relay energized um let me just uh flick the key off make sure that that turns off so the key is off let's make sure our theory is right here we no longer have power on that one this is supposed to be fulltime it is fuse is still blowing turn the key back [Music] on and that one has power I don't know why I did not have power back back at the fuel pump driver that's pretty interesting well need this to say man there is some green stuff going on in this fuse box under this relay here it's uh what relay that's the fan High relay got some green going on around these fuses here 22 and 28 let's just see what they are hdlp wash and rear wash right 22 and 28 oh fog lights okay well we'll leave that well enough alone Let's uh get a new fuse in there so I think I know why I didn't have power back there on the key Source I do believe as look at my diagram here I was on the wrong pink wire so we will double check that uh we're going to put a good fuse in here make sure it does not blow um add fuse there because right now the fuel pump driver module is unhooked so if it blew then we knew we had a problem in the wiring Okay so we've got power back there should have now both of our fuses are good we will check the appropriate wire it's my fault because I did not get a connector pin out so I do believe I'm on the wrong wire we'll double check that my concern is if we plug this in and it blows the fuse um so the fuel pump control module runs the fuel pump naturally so what are we dealing with are we dealing with a shorted out fuel pump driver or are we dealing with a faulty fuel pump and I think the easiest way to isolate that will be to you know assuming assuming we plug it in and the fuse remains good if we cycle the key and it blows a fuse at that point you know when the pump is you know commanded on uh it may be shorten uh we'll cross that bridge when it gets there hopefully whatever the problem is is still present it still blows the fuse so that would be super helpful back underneath get our light this time we'll test the appropriate wires or the other appropriate wires so this is the one at the Fus blue line should be this one here all right so we can see we can carry four amps that's good I was it was my fault I was checking the heavier pink wire uh which should be the one that runs to uh the fuel pump itself so I'm going to go with the lighter gauge pink wire this should be our key Source here um I I wasn't able to front probe that so I'm back probed into that we'll hit the ground and there we go so that was that was my fault the first time that's why we didn't have power on on that one so we have the appropriate Powers um and ground obviously there's only one ground back here there is some low references for the sensors but we're not worried about those so we're going to plug this in we're going to see if it blows the fuse I didn't hear anything Let's uh let's look and see if we've regained Communications here and um kind of take it from there maybe we can maybe we can turn the fuel pump on and see if it blows the fuse then no come that's interesting I wonder if it did snap the fuse it's back under the hood test light back up verifier our equipment it did it blew the fuse when we plugged it in awesome so instead of going through fuses let me uh let me get a little something here so we got this little guy here a fuse saver uh all it is is basically a set of circuit breakers now be warned I had a little what I call incident with this tool I bought it a long time ago cuz I thought it you be handy for stuff like this um I put a appropriate size cuz these are all different sizes 10 amp 15 20 you know y yada I put a let's say for the sake of argument a 20 amp in a spot where a 20 amp went where it was blowing fuses and it did not trip the breaker um however I found the problem because I followed the smoke not super uh impressed uh with that aspect of it I have not actually tested these to see where they break open um but I do know this 420 amp circuit we're going to go with a 10 amp breaker uh just to start with and just see if it's uh popping that just because i' I've lost a little f in this tool so let's uh get that fuse out of [Music] there pull that out yeah immediately blew it looks like it's blown hard stick this in there yep it popped the breaker on a 10 amp ready reset it it pops it yeah dead dead short okay um one thing I don't know uh that we have to kind of determine is when we Supply the power back there is it at the same time trying to turn on the fuel pump or is this just completely shorted inside the fuel pump driver module uh I believe the only way to uh to tell that is to unplug the fuel pump if we can get to it and see if it still continues uh to blow the fuse if it does at that point I can only assume that we have you know a faulty fuel pump driver module and I guess I would say for anybody that's wondering uh we know it's not the wiring going to the module because it did not blow the fuse when we put it in initially so you got to keep you got to be mindful of that we're not concerned about any of the wiring going to the module it's simply going to be I assume from the fuel pump circuit out uh you know probably an easier way to do that as as opposed to uh trying to get to the top of the fuel tank to unplug the fuel pump is to just stick a current clamp around around the uh fuel pump wire the big pink wire going to the fuel pump if that has no current on it and it still blows the fuse uh then we can only assume that it's inside the module so what we're going to do is simply unplug it I suppose there's there's there's a couple ways that we could do this um it's got to kind of pick your poison let me uh let me go reset the circuit breaker all right so the circuit breaker is reset right now so theoretically we should have power back on our full time so it's going to be on that 20 amp circuit so we do have power and ground there now what we could do um is very easily we could jumper our so our gray wire I actually lied you guys our big our big heavy gray wire is the power supply for the fuel pump the pink wire is actually the ground for the fuel pump and then we've got our power ground here uh which is set to the control module the control module analyzes the data based on you know numerous things uh fuel pressure inputs and whatnot and then it uh regulat the amount of fuel pressure coming from the pump uh so it's going to be a returnless system uh so it's going to be you know probably a you know pulps width modulated signal to the fuel pump to control the pressure is what I would assume so we could you know if the fuel pump shorted theoretically if we took a jumper from power to power and you know ground to ground the pump's either going to run or it's going to blow the fuse immediately or we can uh use our Camp clamp which I brought here and we'll hook it on the fuel pump output the gray wire and when we plug this thing in you know is it trying to turn the pump on that I I honestly do not know the answer to that um so I think that's going to be that's going to be my method I think the other thing we can do on just take and uh we just take and cut that zip tie we can throw our amp clamp around the power wire as we plug it in and just see what it does obviously it's you know going over the amperage that the circuit's designed for I do have I did switch out I do have our 15 amp breaker in the Box currently and it's just hanging underneath the truck so I think we should be able to get this lined up hopefully we get the jaws of our current clamp around that I'm kind of a pisser of a spot but yet we should we should be able to get it around that and uh being that we have the vars right here we'll just use this assuming it works and uh you know see what uh see what kind of method we had I hope everybody's kind of following along here all right so I've got the uh bars fired up here I've got it on a it's supposed to be a 20 amp scale but oh must be it's 10 down 10 up okay let's um oh my gosh I haven't used this thing in so long you got to bear with me here been using the Pico so much I kind of forget forget how this goes all right so here we go zero out our probe what I'll do just for proof of concept we'll stick our test light in it and we'll grab current from that wire just to make sure that our probe is good everything's going to be good probe's hooked up oops let's see here my test light is on and you can see we're drawing you know a steady should be 3.8 amps is what I have it labeled as here live okay so it goes to four so essentially we're drawing 4 amps all right so I'm going to unplug our test light our test light is unplugged key is on I'm going to plug the control module in now we're just on the power feed wire we'll see what happens here okay I plugged it in and the fuse just opened so what was our our maximum was 31 amps that's a problem lady all right so let me unplug it now I'm going to go back and reset our circuit breaker all right that's all reset we will just verify that the breaker is good we still have power here we do so that's good now we will grab a hold of the gray wire which feeds our fuel pump we will plug this in you know naturally until the breaker blows and we'll see if there's any current being sent to the fuel pump and that will kind of answer our question for us all right well sorry about the glare all right we're around the fuel pump wire now let me get the probe out of the way here get this lined up we're going to plug it in if I can get it all right we're plugged in we did a little moment here I got my I got our clamp backwards Let Me flip our clamp around here I did see a little little movement there let me just go ahead and zero it uh let me verify let me just verify power again here I just want to make sure that little brief minute we had it plugged in okay we did blow the breaker let me go reset it all right the breaker is reset so we're back in business clamp is on in the correct direction now let's uh plug this in here we go let's see there we go we're plugged in and you can see it only popped up briefly to like one amp before it blew the breaker so I do not believe that our fuel pump is shorted so at this point um I assumed our fuel pump would be the biggest drawler the biggest likely short or the biggest uh not knowing how the fuel pump driver is wired internally I got to believe that this 20 amp uh you know full-time power that runs back here is primarily there to feed the fuel pump that's going to be the biggest high amperage consumer that this module is going to be using uh it does have the other 15 amp uh circuit that feeds the Keon portion of it uh now uh I guess with that being said it's possible that uh it's possible that there is another circuit you know another output circuit that shorted that is causing this you know to happen I doubt it but it is possible so the easiest thing to do um we know our fuel pump circuit is good and not shorted uh we certainly could check the you know the ground side of it but um you know I don't I don't believe we're going to see an issue there uh because it would have been reflected you know across the power side but what we can do is I can grab two three wires at a time with the amp clamp because we know that when we plug it in we get like a 30 amp Spike till it blows the circuit breaker so we can snag you know two three wires with an amp clamp at a time reset the breaker plug it in you know see if we're getting that see if that current's actually coming out of the module and being shorted out by another uh portion of the wiring like I say I I doubt it because I think we would have other symptoms I mean we have a 5V reference that comes out um you know we got our Comm lines you know I'm thinking if we had you know battery voltage on those we would be experiencing some other problems um but I'm here I don't like to be wrong so that's the process I'm going to do uh it's going to be a little bit of walking back and forth to trip my breaker I'll have Mrs O come out and just keep tripping it for me as I just you know quickly go down through with the clamp uh so I hope you guys understand that and that is what I'm going to do uh because like I said I do not want to make the wrong call if I see that the current is not coming out of the module I can only assume that it's being consumed inside the module and therefore needs a new one and uh that's that that's all that's all I've got to say in which case we'll get one um hopefully the local Chevrolet dealer has one and we'll put it in get it programmed and get this little guy back on the road let's see let me grab some of these little guys got two Comm [Applause] wires oh sh on you leave it open yeah don't push the button yet there you go all right push the button yeah did it pop back open okay just a [Applause] minute let me grab some more here let's try to isolate which ones we've already done be nice if this tire would come out of my way have these ones this one this one that [Applause] one okay push the button it popped okay so that's the process guys uh this is always up there pushing my buttons as usual and I'll uh I'll get the rest of these wires just isol I've not seen anything yet but I don't suspect that I will if I do I'll flip the camera back on all right that's it shows over folks fuel pump driver module I'm calling it uh let's see if we can get a hold of one today that'd be handy so I called down to the shevy garage and they have one in stock awesome so uh we got that getting sent up it'll probably be an hour or so but give this thing a little chance to drip off and we'll work on you know getting that one out in the meantime I'm not going to I'm not going to bother pissing around with that spare tire we'll just leave it how it is try to you know try to work around it the best we can and we'll get the new one in we'll get it programmed and uh it should be good to go at that point well because the spare tire does not come out it's about as handy as tits on a bowl trying to get this thing uh so I took the whole bracket off and I just air hammered it to try to hopefully get these bolts loose um you didn't think the air hammer would come out with a fuel pump module video did you but I can tell you this this thing stinks uh it smells like burning Electronics my script's working here I'll see if we can't snag on these bolts enough to get them loosened up hopefully get them off this bracket oh yeah I tried to turn them from the bottom side they've got an inverted Torx on them no beans why on Earth this thing isn't inside the vehicle or inside the ECM I don't know probably a good thing it's not cuz we'd be buying an ECM I guess I don't know why can't we just have a relay and a switch I don't know not an engineer baby so all we have to do is get these loose I I don't know if the new one comes with bolt Tage it's probably already on its way here I suppose we can just stick regular metric bolts in it make sure they'll corrode just as quickly good old saw [Applause] man [Music] ohoo she's stay [Music] all right good enough she's off there I say we give her a little autopsy it's getting a new one so why not crack this little guy open may we can save our screws or at least get out see what thread it is no looks like probably six millimeter anyways I think some water just came out of it out of it or off it I think perhaps out of it let's have a look our BCE grips rust up around here M there's one just had to do a uh diagnosis on my brother's truck my brother owns the farm place he has a Dodge cumins 07 and the throttle actually uor valve quit working on the transmission I diagnosed it ECM was bad and that was expensive a $1,600 ECM I got a used one for 600 bucks we got it on and all programmed and of course everything works so we tore the old one open and it looked like it caught on fire on the inside it was pretty it was pretty wild she burned up I don't know what I don't what nuked it the uh throttle actuator valve was good it was only pulling four 4 amp turn on turn off the feedback circuit on it worked so I made the call on the ECM it was a good call but kind of odd that it you know that it fried I turned that actuator valve on a bunch of times different temperatures and stuff but thinking that may what popped it okay moment of truth I think these are sealed it stinks I can tell you that much oh it smells off I think it's supposed to be sealed shut this side wasn't sealed very good this side still has silicone on it or sealant whatever sort to use oh yeah she's wet on the inside oh thing smells rancid uh but we do have some Rust so we got here is some capacitors it stinks let me tell you [Music] that I don't know oh here we go there's some burn marks so I don't know if that'll focus on that or not but we can see we can see a little black bird marker right there I don't know if that's our short or not to get to the bottom side of the circuit border all glued down oh yeah she's stalk yeah it must be uh must be held on here with adhesive but this thing smells really bad oh yeah she got the old black crusties down here ew that's it so probably uh I guess I would attribute it to water intrusion we've got uh the green crusty paste down here is what it is least it didn't get our connector stay we'll go uh we'll go get a second opinion what she got waft it see if you give us your opinion oh huh smells burnt smells burnt don't it trying to use good adjectives for them it's the same one I use like burnt plastic yep so what's burn on it uh probably one of the one of them units can't I don't know I'm not a freaking Electronics major garbage in garbage out that's all I know it's broke nothing looks burnt yeah it does where down the little this little black piece down here had some had some black crusties I scraped at them though oh well it's wet so it's hard to tell oh I see what you're saying yeah it was all wet in the Box thanks though yeah man these dogs got it good you got it good Chloe don't don't worry don't move how about you Sheba you got it good I think so I want to take a nap about lay down there and take nap I'll come in and video record you great people I'll tell you you got it good too yep I do have it you what I do have it good why cuz I married you I knew it there's the new one it's all installed I went ahead and put a zip tie back on it had to uh put new bolts in it like we thought I got it fished back up above the spare tire spare TIR is back in tight for whatever it's worth they're just kind of decoration on these trucks um I think what I'll do next is uh go and eat some lunch because it's lunch time cuz we've been waiting for the parts I've been working on some other stuff however I don't know how much this thing got cranked on I don't know the condition of the battery it looks fairly new it's an AGM battery that's in it so I'll let it down I'll throw it on the charger while I'm eating lunch uh these program relatively quickly so you know we don't have to worry about you know too much of that as far as keeping the charger on it while we while we program it I I think they only take like 30 seconds or something so we'll do that make sure the battery's up the snuff I'll feed my face whatever misses always cook D and then we'll uh get this thing programmed see if it runs we just got her on a 10 amp charge that'll be fine let's go see what kind of uh Grassroots vegetables we got for lunch today we come in the sea surprise ooh is this a Triple Decker Triple Decker peanut butter and jelly cuz she buys this I don't know what you call this it's like a shingle it's like the worst they may get light by cutting in half that's like the crappiest bread in the world it's ultra thin so to get some substance you got to have three of them what do we have here shrimp abis call it it looks like carrots what do you got it's from a can it's from a can I'm not you're so letting people what are you EA not from how come you got is there any chips or you got the homemade goodness I get crap from a can if I gave you this vegetable plate you would be like where's the meat where's the bread where's this I don't see I don't see any meat over here it's in the soup ain't no meat in there it's from a can I think is chicken something uhhuh chicken surprise there's probably a couple chunks in there all right thanks good job okay lunch is over we will uh plug the virus here get our BOS unit plugged in I can figure it out there we go all right so that's plugged in in set that somewhere where we won't bump it get our USB cable plug that little guy in all right ah they're all twisted up like Twisted Sister okay got that where everybody can see it let's Let's uh plug this into our laptop get that fired up leave the key on here let me type in my secret code we'll come here we'll grab that actually I got Google Chrome as my default browser but the GM reprogramming does not like Google Chrome so we'll go to Internet Explorer log in here all right skip past all this stuff oh we do not want to update our Java it's very specific on what version of java it uses us it as an old version because we're up to like 8 point something 8121 or something this us as an old old version pretty pretty simple process so here it wants to know if we're using the te 2 or the MDI and we're not so we're going to skip that because we're using the Bosch tool and that should that'll pop up here a little bit a little bit later at least it should like I said I'm pretty sure these these here program pretty pretty quickly okay we're using this mbci going to reprogram ECU I don't think we need to go to the remove and replace oh let's see this is a shivy 09 light duty truck Silverado all right it's communicating with it now we got all the dinging going off so that's our Vin 941 let me just make sure okay going to go next and we need to pick fuel fuel pump control module programming here out of the list of available modules we're going to pick a normal programming click next it's lighting up the dash and dinging at us uh let's see it gives us our um what calibration ID uh new software for started production so it gives us our K ID that we're going to use we're going to hit next uh let's see calibration marks with an asor not recognized by TI 2 web release they're either newer than available software or other or they are non GM calibrations please contact customer support interesting so the current is that one wonder why it says it's new newer well they're probably not sequential H Let's uh let's do this I don't think that we had to do uh you know remove and replace ECM let's pop back in there thought we just had to go through the the programming procedure turning the shine engine off okay we're good shevy oops wrong ear there fella pick 09 Silverado in fuel pump control module turn ignition Off remove existing controller install new controller D ignition on we've done that all right operating system okay let's see uh the HVAC DPM rcdl may stop communicating or become nonfunctional after programming this module if this happens do not replace the HVAC module functionality can be restored by cycling battery power to the modules okay okay so I was wrong I did have to go to remove and replace I couldn't remember but no harm no foul right got a lot of dinging going on up there so it's going to download our software here from the internet and then uh you know install it on the new module or at least uh get it talking here to the ECM so like I say these are pretty pretty quick program some programming take a long time but this one is like a minute it look like and our internet here is really slow but this should get us up and running anyways this kind of sucks you know you got to do all this just for a for a silly fuel pump you know this job is going to cost as much as if the fuel pump really was bad and who knows fuel pump could go bad next week all right oh let's see fuel pump control module record this for warranty clearing dtcs will erase stored history data from all controllers on the da link currently in use all right so let's go ahead and clear our codes out then we'll see if the old girl runs okie dokie well I got this all twisted Up's do a key off we finish turn the interface of the day connector okay here we go keys on she starts and [Applause] runs no lights on fuel tanks about quarter of a tank she knocking so we know it's running these old shies they're noisy all right so we're done with this um at this point you know you can talk to your customer and see if they want you to go through and update you know the ECM and all that stuff uh because typically these things have lots of updates but you kind of got to talk that out with them and see you know work out your pricing and stuff whatever you want to do there but we're just here to get this pig running I got a lot of stuff stacking up out in the parking lot now cuz this has been plugging up my bay sounds like an old 80s video game doesn't it all right let's plug the virus back in we'll go make sure all the codes are cleared out of the modules we'll throw a hose on it we'll start her up everything should be good get it out of here so there we have it no coats present um truck starts and runs we got everything put back obviously we put our fuse back in she's good to go another Chevrolet on the road and that's it guys time to move on uh I got a bazillion things to do just took too much time sat in here for too long uh so I got to kind of get caught up here the rest of the day uh I am going to put a link in the description and probably up on the screen somewhere in a little popup box for the other video that we did on a fuel pump driver module and if I remember right on that one it was forcing the truck to run really really rich uh I think the fuel pump driver module in that case lost control of the fuel pump and just kept it at an elevated pressure uh or something like that but different symptom same part whatever uh I'm also going to put a link for Wells Electronics they did a small uh video a Counterpoint video I think they called them where they show their fuel pump driver modules that they make for these trucks and for Fords uh which are you know two really common uh fuel pump driver module modules to fail and they show they show those and a couple unique things about them so I'll put that link to the video on the screen somewhere or in the description box so check those places and while you're checking that out check us out on Google+ Facebook make sure you subscribe to our Channel and click the notification Bell so to get your notification as we put out the videos as time allows and uh I think that's it so just remember viewers if I can do it you can do it thanks for [Music] watching
