[Music] hello and welcome today I want to take a look at how you can combine the forces of Max Korea and Jet GDP in my personal opinion I think that the biggest potential currently lies in summarizing the content of codes and interviews in gathering ideas for a code system and in defining codes and categories for your research let's start with the first one let's assume you have started reading your data in your exploratory phase and maybe did some color coding after you have read your document you might want to write a summary in a document memo this chat GTP can do for you you can just copy the text of the interview over to check GTP and ask the software to write a summary for you you find all the prompts that I use in this video in the description below once we received the summary for this interview we can just copy it and paste it back into the document memo this is currently limited for rather short documents if you have a longer document you might need to copy and paste it into check GTP part by part however you cannot only use this to summarize documents for example you might have already created a code called child care and coded some data with that now you want to write a concise summary of the contents of these codes for this we can export the segments of these codes over into Excel and then copy it from Microsoft Excel over to chatgdp we can then ask chat GDP to write a summary of these codes and to focus on the commonalities but also on some exceptional cases once we receive this code summary we can again copy it and for example paste it into the code summaries of Max coupier as another step we can use jet GDP to gather ideas for a good Code system for this I would recommend that you first look through your data and code important segments with Dev color coding function once you have identified the most important segments you can take the content of these color codes and copy them again over to check GTP here we can ask the software to give us ideas for a code system that could be well able to describe the contents that we found this way we can develop a code system that is based on our data with some additional ideas by check GTP finally I see the biggest potential of chat GTP in defining codes for your research for this we can take a code that we have already used and copy and paste the segments over into chat GTP again now we ask the software to write us a good definition and provide an example from on our actual data furthermore we can also use this opportunity to ask check GTP for feedback if there are any segments that do not fit as we see in this example jet GTP does not only provide quite a solid definition and an actual example from our data but it also points out some cases where segments ended up in this code that definitely don't belong there this can help us to write very good concise definitions but also to improve the quality of our coding in conclusion jet GDP is very powerful in summarizing the content of your codes this is especially helpful if you already choose your pre-selected content and this way keep control over the output here be careful to not trust any summary that chat GTP wrote of text that you did not read yourself you need to question the result because jet GDP is well known to hallucinate and might sometimes come up with odd information that does not appear in your data at all furthermore chat GDP is very helpful in writing concise definitions and to get you new ideas for your code system be careful to use any text in your actual thesis because this might get you in trouble if someone recognizes that this was AI generated however for writing memos or summaries for your internal use for Gathering ideas and feedback for your work chat GTP is a very powerful assistant if you have any further questions feel free to contact me via phone or email I would love to get in touch foreign
