For anyone who missed an earlier post, charades shows were the earliest panel shows on TV, even before What's My Line and I've Got a Secret. And up until the '70s, the shows had amazingly good players who didn't bat an eye at 20-word phrases. Here's a game with Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore.
