[Music] [Music] since coverage of the section v 3a volleyball championship tonight a matchup between two teams 26 and 4 in the season the st. Michael Albertville Knights and the top seed the Champlin FARC rebels well welcome to osteo High School John Jacobson along with the Dillon st. Margaret's head coach Hong Kong and long always exciting time of year for these girls and fans and coaches and everything tonight you get Saint Michael's on a great season running into a team that's the three-time defending section champion here in five 3a but not only a three-time Defensive been to the state for last three years as well too so this is their kind of time of year as well too but you also have to give credit to say Mike lout will in the head first-year head coach and shell Jenner they certainly have done really well and probably beyond expectations how these people here so talking to her before the match he said here we got nothing to lose everybody expects Tamplin Park to win they've got a good team but they certainly don't feel any pressure coming into this one that's exactly how you have to approach this team and yes Sampath parks prohibitive favorite here just mainly because of their experience claim because they also have some star players as well too and but yet you know you've got to play loose it's still anyone's game here and same lab was proving that they've been able to beat a few good teams this year as well too so they're certainly taking the right approach into this game who are some players to watch for in this match for both sides why they for saving live elbow Mme Harrington is there's that middle header there and she's I think they're second on their team and then killed this year over 220 kills here she's also kind of she super that's a big block and force in the middle of field so I mean if you're going to see how she presents defensively against Champa Marquez able to shut down their big hit as well to the other side champion Clarke obviously is the Ashford you know she's got junior commits to universal Wisconsin it seems like to coach young Kerr had that pipe final is Johnson you know Sydney Haley just went over this year and the experts kind of cut that same mode she's also this you know she's not only a great center but she's really coming on at the great right side hitter as well for them parks plays a really good volleyball right now has the same angle but firm for the Rumbles for saint-michel rather what do they need to do to be able to pull an upset tonight what has to fall right for them well they've got to play defense really well tonight they've got to get great first contact get that first pass real on target make some really good passes so they can get in their office if they're out of system tonight champion part is gonna have a very good successful night here so they got to play just first contact success and play great solid defense and that's the way you're going to be chamfered they've got a lot of offense here and you know the defense is gonna have to really come through for st. Michael Albertville mites in the Champlin party rebels meet for the section 5 create championship for 2017 inch on the other side [Music] [Applause] here we get ready for this one let's look at this starters for tonight there's a look at the scene Michael Alberto Samantha Palmer Saira can chew brace mauers Berg Evy Harrington middle hitter that we talked about in the pregame Gabby's chef Lexi Nelson and Zoe Miller round out there are six starters in their libero [Music] the Champlin parked their starters tonight Jordan stop us Emma Schmidt is he aspirin Briana Buffington Sammy hilly and a frenzy and Kaitlyn Weimer spirits is there Junior libero so Paula you talk to both coaches before the batch what did they relay to you as being important for them care that first ball contacts here making sure that you pass their crisp of service teams make sure we're in good position for DFS they're digging that ball they certainly expect heavy attacks from the other side here and snow that's my role is gonna Mason have to play a big game up and there just to get touch it to give their back row an opportunity to make a play and make a dig of that ball so that they can get back and set them in their offense as well too it's gonna be very interesting to see though between these two teams they have very diverse backgrounds in terms of experience at this at this level of the a year right now and there's no doubt that champion parks is that you've been at state for the last three years they're gonna really draw on that experience presence early on and it's gonna be interesting to see if say Mike who hasn't been the state who hasn't been this level for a number of years here whether how much nerve they have here and we'll see that pretty quickly in terms of their passing on the chair received here and that's usually where it comes out a definitely different spot for for all these nights girls playing this section final where as a number of these jimplin Park girls have played in the last three years or have been on the bench if nothing else for them for these matches and and know what it's like to be in these big game situations and for the most part through the years they have they've come through they had to really tight matches the last two years in the section final against white zetas that went five if they wanted to bail have gotten better each year at state let's see it happens tonight absolutely we're looking for this game to make a great it's electric already here so is the Ashburn with the first serve and the first point as well they talk about that first contact and nine point one aspirin mixed in paves the Nancy they're nice hard aggressive serve detention there and she had troubles hand landfall mansion gets this one all set up to the front row mindless Church digging up the ball from ours bird it across thanks Dolphus dug up by Miller outside attack and it's a long off the hand and Samantha Palmer and in the first two points quickly he Champlin Park it's good swing good aggressive swinger they're hoping they hit high hand on that was just a little too high above the hands and blockers there [Applause] accent right side Palmers hit is dug up tipped over one goes just wide off the tip fight press key and the point the st.
