to renew our trust in god and in the words of his son jesus christ who said i am the resurrection and the life therefore notwithstanding the solemnity of this moment but in full trust and hope for a better life in the eternity let us praise god with joyful hearts today as we declare this service officially open and the first thing i would like us all to do is to reaffirm our faith in almighty god by repeating the apostles creed said i believe in god the father almighty creator of heaven and earth and in jesus christ his only son our lord who was conceived by the holy spirit born of the virgin mary suffered under pontius pilate was crucified dead and buried he descended into hell the third day he rose again from the dead he ascended into heaven and is sitting at the right hand of god the father almighty from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead i believe in the holy ghost the holy christian church the communion of saints the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body and life everlasting amen we have a program that is set before us and as much as possible we try to adhere to the program with the first two parts having been done we are going to do the first very long time he always cooperate when he came to tobago because he was born in trinidad and my sister was living in trinidad soon and i get to know when the summer he came to tobago and you're very very nice to me very very nice to me and not so well but i'll still try to come here all right and i hope god is evil is in the right hands no now right so that is my contribution to him i will i miss him very much very very much i may say when i went up in the hospital in clinic and i heard a shot burn i said wonder would you sharpen but you they're writing minutes earlier i'm going to the doctor but i'm looking to see i'm looking to see him when the person came out i said look when you stand i ain't got a panel around you and he was looking so well well and as you see me you know making it you notice you know and he's smiling that enjoyed when i heard he died that is the part i said i see doing sunday and he was looking so well all right so may rest in peace what do you mean all right few words yes i would just like to say good afternoon again um my memory of my father he was more than a father to me that man was my friend he was my confidant he was my world just want to say i miss of december 1943. he was a husband a father brother a nephew and a friend to many and no doubt we are all going to miss him as i lay last night grappling with the thoughts many thoughts came to my mind of what to say so i reflected on the word fight that describes my father in a lot of ways f and fight stands for the faith he had in god stands for he being a very inspirational person jesus stands for the fact that he never give up h stands for the hope that from things that things from god's standpoint will get better before um get even more worse and t stands for the toughness he had in life and this toughness never faded him he never gave up on life i watched this man suffer two strokes years ago and yet he wasn't able to speak he was very joyful whenever i called he tried to communicate with me whenever i called my brother phone you know it was always a joy to speak with him despite i wasn't in tobago right so yes he taught us as children all six of us i will call our names romelia natasha brian bonnie beverly and winston jr also named us boy boy he taught us all to fight to be a better people in this world to always give unselfishly in behalf of others and as his children now and loved ones as we reflect on his life definitely it's not with sadness the sadness is because we lose him and that but it's with joy that we reflect on his life and we give god the scripture says jesus says i am the resurrection and the life my brothers and sisters we have to also remember that we who are alive have to make our calling an election show whatever we do or say here today would not affect what becomes of winston's shepherd he would have played his part and laid down his tracks so that god is responsible now for the outcome on that great and getting up mourning he would have run his race and fought his fight now the responsibility is yours to ensure that your life is one that is lived pleasing to almighty god and are glad to see one sister holding and comforting the other because that is how family is supposed to be and we who are of the family of christ ought to remember to pray and support one another brothers and sisters sometime in difficulty because you see this arm of flesh you see this emotion that god has placed in us sometimes does get so charged that we just forget that a charge to keep we have and our god to glorify and we allow anger and ego and jealousy to take charge of us and these three are some of the worst sins that we could ever allow into us when they get into this system that god created that has caused havoc jealousy one brother kill another rise up and slay his own brother and then telling god in three face am i my brother's keeper you're here jealousy let 11 brothers take another well 10 and sell him into slavery because they were jealous of the affection that the father had for him brothers and sisters let not sin rain in our mortal body as a matter of fact paul tell us set aside those sins that so easily beset us and run this race with patience and faith but i want us to understand in order to have patience tribulation.com james says in the first chapter of the book of james tribulation work at patience so when you start to ask god lord give me patience here comes tribulation because that is how patience is obtained so we have to understand the word of god teaches us how to manipulate our lives so that in the end it would be pleasing to god and we would have a successful life in that we would have gained that eternal life that jesus came to give brothers and sisters as i said my discourse would not be very long but i want us to remember we have a never dying soul to save and the only way for us to save our lives is to lose it in service to almighty god and to one another so sister not not what much for sister or brother ask you to do brother not not too much your sister brother asks you you have to be one another's keeper and if you consider those who does mind animals you have the bird in the cage today i forgot to bow tie in there without heat or passing i did the day you forget to feed it you'll forget two three days that's it he did you have to care for it and hope but knowing full well that their father would have made his calling an election show and they have a responsibility to themselves and to him to do the same lord help them to live loving with one another may that burn of peace continue to abide in them lord help them to put aside lord those things that seem so great at the time but oh master when the time of difficulty comes we are able to set it aside help them to set it aside without the difficulty coming help them to fly over those things oh god that trouble our hearts and mind yes we are flesh and you have said in your word oh god be angry and sin not and let not the sun go down on our earth even so lord i pray that you remove wrath and strife and envy and jealousy car sit behind their back so far lord that they would not even see it if they turn around to look but keep their eyes ever focused on you press into that mark of the high calling which is in you christ jesus lord i pray that your grace and your angels will overshadow them and take charge over them from day to day moment to moment second to second oh god may they ever be before your face in thanksgiving lord i pray lord that you overshadow all of us who have assembled to share with them this moment of grief help us oh god to be strengthened by your holy spirit so when we should leave this place we could truly see how great is god almighty who dwight all things well lord i commit their lives the lives of their children even unto the third and fourth generation into your hands oh god that he may stretch out before you oh lord even as you have destined
