okay sir okay let me open the gns okay so is my screen is visible to all of you hello everyone yes sir okay so dear all this is my network okay this is my local area network in which we have area two these router are the part of area two okay okay dear so these are the part of what okay this is area two okay everyone hello and these routers are the part of area one okay these routers are the part of Area 1 that is area 2 so let me 13.1 okay so this is area one uh let me mention this just hold on for a while okay so this is area 1 this is area 2 and this one is area Z so can anyone tell me which one is the common router for all all of these R1 R1 is the common router and this common router is also okay hello roselt so dear today we will cover up the area concept okay so if I talk about this network we have three different areas what are these areas this is area two this one is area 1 and this one is area Z right as we discussed in our previous class so area 2 Area 1 and area Z right so first of all we will configure the eigr be on all of these routers then we will cover up we will discuss about the internal routers right and backbone area routers area zero asbr and what is bgp and how the bgp configured so we will cover up all of these in our class today okay okay everyone so let's start our talk topic so let's start with router number one start configuring on router number one let's configuring terminal okay do show IP route so you can all you can see that hello so if I talk about router number one how many networks are available and what is the meaning of o o is the O Okay show do show IP protocols so which protocol is working the OSF is working okay everyone the OPF is working I already have configured the OPF protocol here okay hello hello hello hello hello dear I I already have configured the OPF protocol so do you have any confusion with configuration of OPF no sir okay so let me go to R4 and will ask okay so let I will discuss about odr after this one okay let's hold on for a while configur terminal okay so to show IP route to show IP route so if I talk about the routing so can anyone tell me how many routers are connected so you can see seven yeah there are seven routers connected but whenever I will ask the router so it is giving an answer that to reach 11.0 you have to go through 10.2 okay so the router that are in communication there are that are in network you can see that these can be connected via via eigrp protocol okay via OPF protocol 110 is what the 120 is the OPF protocol okay so you can see that these are okay so you can see if I talk about the protocols which Protocols are working working here the OSF and bgp Protocols are working here okay dear here if you want to see the configuration I can again create the complete network if you want or if you continue with this so this is okay with me if is it okay with you then we can continue else I can again create this network and we again do the configuration that is your wish because I already have done this configuration the I already have done the OPF configuration can you do maybe just a little bit of the configuration just so I could get my mind oh okay nothing nothing too major but you know okay so dear so let's start with R1 okay okay so dear let's start with R1 let me explain you what I have done okay first of all on R1 I have provided the IP address so this is the IP address available 11.2 12.1 and 14.1 first of all I have provided the IP address then we have advertise the networks over this okay by the help of a command router OSF 1 and so on okay okay sir okay after that we have provided the area 2 Area 1 and area zero and so on okay is one the autonomous system number dear autonomous system number is used for the bgp that is a separate part okay dear let me do one thing let me create a whole create a new network and we will do the configuration from starting okay that will be better I think this will be little bit confusing okay okay okay we will we will create a new network okay okay dear so let's start doing the configuration first of all I will use the router this is router number one and this router is connected to multiple routers right so we will we will only take four routers for now okay so we will will only use the four routers because more routers will be confusing okay four routers has been connected uh one 2 3 4 okay let let's connect one more router okay so that it will be less less confusing for you okay so how many router are there seven routers are available let me connect one more router 8 router also okay okay now we have eight different routers and we will do the configuration of all of them and after the configuration we will also do the deployment uh we will also configure the redistribute the bgp okay so this is my network here let me connect all of these f0/0 F 0/0 this is f01 f0/1 F0 1/0 f is 1 let C okay this is f0/1 F0 SL1 this one is f0/0 F0 sl0 and this is f okay so dear this is my internal Network first of all this is what this is my internal local area network okay forgot this one for now okay this is my internal Network first of all let me provide the IP address to all of these so this one is 192.168 dot uh let's start doing from 10.0 okay 192.168.10.0 okay this one is 192.168.10.0 this one is 192.168.1.0 this one is 1921 1681 12.0 this one is 192.168.1.0 this one is 192.168 Dot 14.0 and last one is 192.168 do 15 do0 that's it okay now provide the IP address let us assume that is 10. 10.1 I will not write the complete IP address I will write only 10.1 or 10.2 okay in short 10.1 10.2 this one is 11. 1 this one will be 11.2 okay this one is 14.1 14 dot 1 next one is 14.2 okay this one is 15.1 and this one is 15.2 this one is 12. 1 next one is 12.2 okay this one is 13 dot 1 and next one is 13.2 okay dear these are the IP address let us assume that these two links are the part of area zero that is also called the backbone area this one is area one and this one is area 2 okay so let [Music] me hello okay so let me do one more so let us assume this one is area one okay this one is area zero so let me let me connect one more area this one is area number Z okay dear till now any confusion no sir okay so let me turn on all the devices first of all okay now start providing the IP addresses this is 14.1 14.0 14.2 this this is area 2 15.1 152 this is 12.2 192.168.1 12.0 13.1 13.0 13.2 this is router number five f is 0/0 okay so let's start doing the configuration first of all go to our router number one so how many IP addresses are available how many interface are there on R1 okay there are three interfaces so go to Global configuration Mode start providing the IP address okay interface F 0/0 which IP address is allotted to F 0/0 that is 14.1 okay so first of all the command is no shutdown then IP address 192.168.1 14.12 uh 255.255.255.0 okay next interface is what interface F 0/1 okay no shutdown command no shutdown uh interface sorry interface S 0/1 no shutdown IP address 192.168 12.1 okay 255.255.255.0 okay interface F 1/0 no shutdown okay IP address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 okay so do to check the to check the allotted IP address you can put a command do show IP IP interface okay so we have provided three IP address F 1/0 F 0/1 and 1/0 three IP addresses okay now let's go to a router number four and put the IP addresses on router number four configuring terminal okay interface f0/0 okay no shutdown IP address 192.168.1 14.2 and 255.255.255.0 okay next interface is what interface f0/1 no shutdown IP address 192.168.1 15.1 and 255 255.255.255.0 okay next one is what router number six go to router number six and provide the IP address also interface f0/1 no of configuring terminal go to Global configuration mode interface F0 SL one right no shutdown okay IP address 192.168.1 15.2 and 255.255.255.0 okay so we have provided the IP address to the router in to the routers of area 2 right or not hello yes sir yes sir yes okay now let's do the same on this router that is router number three okay configuring terminal interface f0/1 no shutdown okay IP address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0 interface f0/0 no shutdown IP address 192.168.1.1 and 255.255.255.0 now let's go to next router Router number five and put put the IP address okay configuring terminal interface f0/0 no shutdown IP address 192.168 do which one 13.2 and 255.255.255.0 right okay now go to router number two and do the configuration then we will provide we will do the configuration of ospf right configuring terminal interface F 1/0 no shutdown okay IP address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0 okay interface f0/0 no shutdown IP address 192.168 11.1 255.255.255.0 okay now let's go to router number seven configuring terminal interface f0/0 no shutdown okay IP address 192.168.1.2 and 255.255.255.0 okay so we have just provided the IP address to all of these routers okay now start configuring the OSF but before that we will capture the packet also and we'll see what will be the packet flow over there so let's go to router number one and call configure the OSF over there okay router ospf 1 okay Network 192.168.1 14.0 right 0.0.0 dot 255 area which area is this area zero okay 192.168 dot .0 are to uh yes dear area to sorry okay 192.168 uh first of all you have to delet delete this one okay in this type of cases you have to delete first of all no okay then area 2 okay 1921 68.1 14.0 okay so this is the complete Command 192.168.1 12.0 which area is 12.0 area 1 okay next one is what 192.168.10.0 and the area will be Z okay so now let's go to router number four and we will put the command Okay router OPF 1 okay Network 192.168 dot 14.0 0. 0.0255 area 2 okay 192.168.1 15.0 and this is also area hello this is also area two right okay now let's configure the router number six okay router ospf 1 Network 192.168 15.0 0.0.0 255 area 2 okay now let's do the configuration on router number three and router number five okay on router number three router OSF 1 Network which network is that 192.168.1 12.0 0.0255 area 1 okay 192.168 13.0 Area 1 okay go to R5 router OSF 1 Network 192.168.1.0 0.0.0 255 area 1 okay now let's do the configuration on R2 and R7 okay router OSF 1 Network 192.168.10.0 0.0255 area 0 192.168 do 11.0 and area 0 okay let's do the configuration of on R1 router OSF 1 Network 192.168.1.0 0.0255 area Z so dear we have configured the OPF protocol and you can see that the neighbor ship has been formed and update message has been sent throughout right or not because of right right so this is done now Yes actually I have qu Yes dear in L acknowledge it send the multic address uh in the acknowledgement 22 4.0.0 do5 yes this is De this is multicast this will be forwarded to every single uh router every single node in the network to the every single neighbors okay that is why this is multicast okay okay sir okay so now we have configured the OPF protocol everywhere in the network so let's go to router number seven first of all and put a command show IP route to show IP route command in that you will will see that 10.0 11.0 12 13 and 14 all the networks are available right what is the meaning of o that is OSF protocol right that is yes sir OPF protocol is working over there and area concept is also working right so this can be seen on every single router right or not if I go to R i1 will ask how to communicate with R7 it will answer me but before that there's a simple question for all of you I will ask do show IP route okay here you can see that on R7 you can communicate you can uh you can connect via this okay now here all the routers all the rou routers has some names okay what are these names can you can anyone tell me what are the names of all the router if I talk about r r six what will be the name of R six 15.2 15.2 this will be the name of this router what will be the name 192.168 15.2 this is also called the router ID yeah this is correct so router ID will be this okay if I talk about R1 what will be the router ID for R1 it will be the 14.1 14.1 192.168.1 14.1 the maximum number of Ip the biggest IP address will become the router ID okay so this will become the router ID okay for this router R5 the router ID will be what 192.168.1 13.2 this will be the router ID now R7 will have a router ID 192.168.1.2 right so any confusion till now about the router ID okay so now first of all we will check what will be the OPF table for all of the routers okay so I will ask R six that how many routing information do you have how many routing information do you have by which command to show IP what will be the command here OSF database it will answer me that I only have the information of router number number two are you getting me dear hello hello hello yes sir the router 6 has the information of only the routers of RA area 2 basically all the routers in area 2 okay every okay you just answer my question so it only it only gets the um IPS for the router in this area even though they connected only not the not the not only not the uh information but the database is only having the the information of nearby routers of area 2 okay only the area two information is has been shared got you okay if I ask R4 that what is your rout what is your database table so it will answer the same almost same answer will be there right to show IP OPF database so you can you see the same answer is here right or not hello yeah so almost same answer is here right so be so that is why this is called link state that is means the database of the routers having same area must be same so this these are sharing the same area now now roselt any question you can ask me think I understand it okay so I will do the same on this router also which one the next router okay so they are sharing the same areas okay let me ask some question to R3 R5 R2 R7 okay so whenever I will ask the R3 that what is your database do show IP OSF ospf database it will answer me that this is my database in which area when is only listed right R5 is also having the same area same detail okay to show IP OPF database so it will give me same answer that only I have detail of of area one right if I will go to R7 we put a command do show ipf database it will also give me same answer that I only have the information of area zero right to show ipf database it will give me the same answer so you can see that the router of same areas have the same table but there is one router which is common to everyone which one is that dear hello R1 R1 is the common router R1 is the common router so if I will ask R1 that what is your database table so it will answer me that I have a very long database table in which three areas are there okay so so let me ask this do show ipf database so it will answer me sir I have very big table so how what is that area 1 area 0o area 2 right because this is the this router is also the common router so can you see that area 1 area 2 Area 3 area zero information is are available here right or not here hello yes sir area zero Area 1 area two because this router is the this router is what the common router and these types of router is called the area border router AB R these router are called ab area border [Music] router this is called the area border router that is a common router in between all of these so any confusion now dear hello I understand it okay any other query dear anyone about the area area concept no sir okay there is one uh one remaining question that is what how this protocol will interact to other protocol right or not this is a major question that how OSF protocol protocol interact with interact with with with which protocols there eigrp or o eigrp or bgp protocol right or not this this is a major question for all of you or not can anyone answer me how this protocol and call can interact with other protocols we will distri redistribu redistribution yeah by the help of redistribution we can do the we can communicate in between the other protocols okay so if I go to router number six and will ask a simple question that show ipf do show IP right do show IP OPF neighbor it will give me an answer that I have only one neighbor it is answering me 15.1 why the answer is 15.1 because this is the router ID of R4 okay so it is answering me that I I I have only one neighbor right to show ipf okay here you can see that there are multiple there are number of answers you can get from the from your OSF database right so do show ipf to show IP OPF have border routers so it will answer me that we have only one border router here here you can ask any router about the Border router and it will answer you this router because because this is a common router for all of these 14.1 right that is why this is answering me 14.1 if I ask the ab what is AB so to check the AB there's a command do show IP IP OPF border router by this command you can check the Border router that is called area border router AB it is answering me that the router which has router ID 14.1 is the area border router right now okay there is number of details available here okay everyone to show IP OPF database then you can also ask multiple question that what is asbr what is asbr asbr summary so it is answer me OSF with router ID 15.2 but 15.2 is not the not the asbr so is it answering me about the asbr or not no there is no answer that is means there is no ASB throughout the route throughout the network okay there is no there is no router which is interacting with other protocols either bgp or ospf BG GP or eigrp there is no router which is communicate which is which is interacting with other protocols like bgp or eigrp so the the answer is no every single router has the same answer do show IP OPF database asbr summary there is no router over there so let me do this task now so I will connect our and R8 first of all so let me connect these f 0/1 f 0/1 okay let us assume that this is your this is your ISP router right and has an IP address of 200. 0.0.0.0 this is the IP address of the router okay network of the of of the link and this one is 200. z.0 do1 and this one is 200.0 do0 do2 dear all for now we will do the configuration of bgp protocol right we will do the configuration of bgp over there this is my indirectly this is my hello R8 is the is the router of which one this is the ISP router okay let us assume so first of all we will provide the we will provide okay so first of all provide the IP address then we will do the configuration of bgp okay but before that you have to provide the a autonomous system number let us assume 15 is the as number of R7 and 200 is the as number for R8 okay first of all provide the IP address to both of these routers R7 and R8 let me delete the let me close the previous ones okay okay R7 and R8 now okay so go to R7 put a command configuring terminal okay interface f0/1 okay no shutdown IP address 192.168 do sorry 200 okay 200.0 do1 255.255.255.0 okay let's go to R8 and we'll provide the IP address configuring terminal okay interface f0/0 no shutdown IP address 200.0 do2 but before that let me capture the package start capture so interface is F0 by one oh sorry sorry f0/1 okay interface F 0/1 uh no shutdown okay IP address 200.0 z.2 and okay now let's start the configuration of bgp let me close this W shock okay let's capture the packet in between these two okay dear so start from R7 first of all we will do the configuration on R7 that router what router bgp 150 dear 150 is the as number right like we have the as number in eigrp same concept is here okay router bgp 150 okay now you have to introduce the neighbor router neighbor which one is the neighbor 200.0 do0 do2 this one is the neighbor IP address first of all you have to mention the neighbor IP address then the a number of neighbor remote as remote As 200 by this command you can introduce the neighbor router and he and the and the as number of the neighbor router that's all that is the configuration for bgp let's see which packet has been forwarded so are you getting any packet here no sir okay till now we can't see any packet forwarding okay now we got now we got some messages right this is a sync message right the the TCP protocol is working here and we are getting the sync messages okay see and acknowledgement reset and acknowledgement and whatever is that okay we will discuss about that in ccnp okay we but we will just do the introduction about that okay so now it is continuously forwarding the message to the neighbor neigh neighbor is also forwarding the message to the to the uh router number seven okay now let's do the configuration on router number eight okay router bgp 200 sorry okay router bgp 200 neighbor 200. 0.0.1 200. 0.0.1 then remote remote is 150 remote is 150 okay that is that's Sol this is how you can configure the bgp protocol now you can see there are lots of messages of bgp first one is open message in open message that is somehow like the Hello message to start the protocol open message then keep alow keep alive message then update messages will be forwarded right now they had made now they have made the neighborship now the bgp neighborship has been formed okay so now these are the member of bgp but if I ask the router number six that which one which router is using by the bgp protocol so it will answer me I don't know still I don't know which router is there it will answer me I have no router ter so so what is that why this is why is it so still there is no answer we have we have configured the bgp protocol right or not but routers is not showing in router number six database there is no database of our router number seven why is it so can anyone answer me if I'm asking about the asbr so it is answering me I don't know why is it so do we have to do the redistribute yes we have to introduce these routers the bgp protocol to the ospf and for that you already know what is the command router OPF one right go to router number seven sorry here router OSF 1 right then redistribute the bgp protocol redistribute bgp 15 subnet exit okay hello hello everyone are you connected hello yes sir okay okay okay perfect okay so now I will put a command do show IP route do show IP route so it will answer me that OPF is here and there are number of networks available including the L is this one is 200.0 do0 dot one is here right or not okay now let's go to router number six and we will ask that which router is the which router which router is the autonomous system bounded router so it will answer me now it is answering me that the router which is having the 11.2 router ID is the as boundary router right that is also called autonomous autonomous asbr this is called asbr autonomous system bounded router right everyone so this is how the protocols interact in between them okay if I ask this router number six to show IP router it will give me an uh do show IP route okay it will answer me that these are the routers that are connected and so okay so now any confusion with OPF area or any Concept in as OPF hello can we start the access control list now hello because we in roselt honestly I didn't I didn't catch the um like you're just trying to explain um the rout distribution with um okay bgp I didn't fully catch okay dear what is the meaning of redistribution that that we are using the bgp protocol over here right or not right the bgp protocol is working here on these two routers okay so this is a different protocol and the OPF protocol is working on this side on the left side of R7 the OPF is working and on the right side of R7 the bgp is working right or not so OPF cannot see sh the data to bgp and bgp cannot share the data to OPF now you have to introduce the bgp protocol to the OPF that there is a protocol running over here and please interact to this protocol and how you can interact to this protocol by the command by the redistribution command I will go to OPF protocol and will introduce bgp over there that I have done there you can see okay by this command what redistri redistribute bgp in OPF I have opened the B OPF configuration and introduced the bgp protocol over there so this is how two protocols working with each other right okay okay now so this is how the bgps now can interact with OPF protocol this is called redistribution okay all so tomorrow we will start our topic that is Axis control list and the net and pet okay sir I when you run the IP rout command R there is no out of 2.2 yeah there is no uh yeah there is no answer because the the asbr is responsible for that that is sep protocol for that as asbr is responsible so in asbr database you will find that okay so re is there yes the data will be forwarded okay to show ipf database so in in this database also you will not find any answer right do show IP OS uh IP route okay so you will not see the the bgp protocol over here you will not find the 20.0.0 do2 here because because the aspr has the responsibility for that in the database of R7 you will find both and this can interact on the behalf of this one okay and whenever I will go to ask do show IP protocols it will answer me that two Protocols are working here that is OSF and bgp both of these Protocols are working here right okay so you only did it you only did the um route distribution for um yeah yes zero yes we only have did the redistribution over the OPF protocol by the help of R7 on area Z if we from it will ping or not yes it will ping de okay and you just did only areas I mean you're just showing us how to do the route distribution it wasn't like a particular scenario trying to show us or no this is dear this is the only scenario here on which this is the scenario over which I have introduced the I have redistribute the O the bgp protocol in OPF so if you go to router 6 it's not it will it be able to detect the bgp or just from area zero yes it will it will able to do that don't worry okay so okay okay okay I understand you now okay you just introducing the BG okay I got you now fully got show yeah just to show you the asbr we have done this configuration mhm okay let me try to Ping okay exit ping which one 200.0 do0 do one first of all so sending five packet okay first packet has been lost second packet lost and then all the packet will be lost right or not 200.0 do2 it will also be lost is that because the area okay now let me communicate with 2 uh 192.168.1.2 okay ping 192.168.1.2 it will answer me that yes yes I'm okay I can send the data okay if I go to R2 and will ask that can you ping the Ping in between these two router number two that okay ping 200. 0.0.1 so it will answer me no I cannot do that okay it will give you zero answer no I cannot communicate between the between these protocols even whenever I will go to R7 and will ask that can you communicate to R8 okay let's see what will be the answer of R7 also okay it ping 20.0.0 do2 it will give me an answer yes I can communicate between the to the neighbor I can forward the data in between these neighbors okay so what is the Bas basically what is the issue in between these two because there is low there is lot more to do for the communication actually if you want to communicate in between the there is lot more to do and if you want to cover up that one part also dear I can cover up tomorrow I will cover up tomorrow because this is the time for the next class okay yes sir okay if you want me to do I can repeat I can do this tomorrow because it will take some time to cover up the some part of bdp also okay everyone so tomorrow we will extend this class so we will connect tomorrow and we will cover up the remaining part than ACL and net okay okay sir okay everyone have a nice day so till tomorrow you have to wait okay okay okay dear okay bye take care I will upload the recording please go through this recording okay I will just upload all right
