hey it's Warren for sun media we're here at Kar Aza Kuts and this is the area where uh young people live they were encouraged at this Kuts to stay in one place um to live together you can see their images here because it's in yellow they've been taken hostage with their names and their photos destruction is just hard to describe got a home of one of them that's just been obliterated and then if you come over here you can see bullet holes in the wall of one home and that sign in Hebrew means that human remains were removed from there so if you look way over there in The Parting in the trees that's Gaza and Below there that's a newer gate but the old gate they knocked down that's how they came through here on the ground you can see where Vehicles were set a fire after people were killed and this area behind me this was where the young people lived and you can see some of their images here we're not allowed to identify some of the places specifically because it's upsetting for those who come from here those who survived but you can see the destruction here is complete but you also can see some places are untouched they knew exactly where to go so the workers from Gaza who would be coming here to help build and work here on a daily basis they provided the information that was needed for Hamas to come in here and have destruction like what you see behind me and U the destruction is complete more than 90 people uh were uh killed in this area where the young people are more than 20 were murdered killed without warning on a religious holiday it's like walking through a graveyard some places you get a sense of who lived there and what happened to them the red means that they were murdered the yellow means that they were taken hostage the markings you see on the the doors and beside the doors and the windows is where the IDF would go in and clear the property clear the Kuts it took them days to do that because Hamas sent up set up a headquarters here they would had snipers on the rooftops killing people they took people hostage and took them back through the gate that I showed you and uh they knew where to go and they had the time to do it and words the words are inadequate when you come to a place like this so these are more of the homes of the young people who lived here they lived here they were encouraged to be here they weren't didn't stray too far from where their parents lived parents would also live in the kots but this is where some of them were murdered early on the morning of October 7th 2023 7:00 a.m. in the morning some of them were able to hide for a while but they were eventually caught and slain in this home in this place that they considered to be safe
