double hook up oh snap we gotta get him up before the sharks get them we deserve this oh damn [Music] that's two times in a row you got a freaking red grouper there he is [Music] okay it's 5 20 in the morning first things first I'm gonna have me uh some coffee and I'm gonna make a sandwich and Dan should be getting here any minute we're gonna load the boat down I got some ham provolone cheese some appreci pre Shadow pretty proud of my work here oh yeah baby look at that at the freaking top Bam Bam if Dan's nice I might even share with him if he didn't bring a sandwich it's that time of year all right camera all right slow pitch yes drank up my sweet succulent baby drink up putting some morning fuel in the boat all right the beers are in that black bag in the corn all right all right we got a a clean boat that wants to get real dirty see on the outside she's gorgeous but she wants to get down and dirty right yeah she wants to just get covered She's A Freak She's A Freak that's easy right awful snap we good to go trim the engine down so far so good make sure she turns on we're in action engine is running 50 oil that should be okay do we have everything okay let's make sure so this is what we're gonna be trolling today there's some mean looking hooks oh I ate some spicy food last night did you meet that grouper last night yeah I did I look damn good in the pan it was good that looked like a really good recipe all right so we're gonna be trolling this Bonita lure yeah out back the furthest in the middle right yeah way back way way back 24 ounces of weight that goes out medium after this one and this is about 48 ounces so further down but then short and away we go probably should turn my navigation lights on because it's pretty dark oh there's a couple of waves out here yeah it's not perfect all right well we're in 120 feet of water right now right off the Reef's Edge here in Key Largo Dan's putting out the first rod we're gonna have one rod Center real far back with a Bonita lure and then we got the two other rods on each side that are gonna have the high speed lures with the inline trolling weights going out so we're going to be trolling three rods we're doing like six miles an hour while we get the rods set up and then once all the rods are in we'll pick it up to like 14 to 18 miles an hour and will officially be high speed trolling bait oh yeah I wonder if this morning a wind will lay down a little bit although it's not scary oh it is white capping is that all three rods out all three rods all right so time to pick up the speed a little bit oh oh my God I thought we were on sorry about that you got me really excited there just want to make sure these don't be Tangled Up so I'm gonna have to adjust them as you go yeah it'll probably start creeping right we'll start creeping so I guess all right so I'll just slowly bring it up yeah let's bring it up yeah I'll bring it to like 10 12 see what happens here that's official that's official already yeah all right I'll slow this down a bit for you nice just gonna be a gaffer I mean I just don't know where it is wait there's nothing on there what what's wrong with that what the heck okay well false alarm damn it false alarm should we even run this he was pop he was blasting out of the water when we were going a little like 16 he was flying out of the water maybe we don't troll it for now yeah yeah all right so now we're just gonna troll these two less room for error okay foreign [Music] [Music] this area that was definitely a hit because I was like right yeah I might as well check them because both rides did have weird things happen to them so oh boy we were trolling that I don't know oh yeah see they probably hit that one and then they were gonna go back to hit it but then they saw that and they're like whoa boys boys what the hell is that they're like guys everybody calm down hold on let's think about what we're doing here I think it's a trap let's bring them in and try something else because if we didn't catch them we covered a ton of ground there if they ain't here they ain't here well we've been high speech rolling for about two hours we covered a lot of ground no fish so that's probably a good time to throw in the flag for high speeding they would have bit by now if they were here or if they were in the mood whichever one it is but now we're gonna do some vertical jigging maybe spend like 30 minutes an hour vertical jigging or so and then uh let's try to put something on the boat what do you want Dan I want something on the boat I agree with you something something that we something good something good I'll take a tuna I'll take it yeah tuna mutton yeah yeah all right vertical Jake going down it's 130 feet here oh Beast yeah you're talking yeah he's almost as big as the chick well this is an excellent start now let's try to 10x that thing yeah it's vertical jigging is exhausting especially after the 30th drop Mama me well we got it feels like a tuna which is it's swimming into the into it's swimming into the engine hold on here we go is that a it's a kingfish a baby baby Kingfish well I'll be oh all right goodbye buddy wow Kingfish okay that was good he really tore up my mono I say we troll planers you can keep jigging though because I gotta set him up my homemade Bonita strips while you're in there I got him salted down and everything yeah what do we do about the beer situation we haven't caught a fish oh man foreign oh yeah there we go one funny looking Bonita strip okay we're fishing again oh yeah this is a hundred and twenty feet leader at the end of that we got our Bonita strip on a sea witch and then this thing Clips on the back here ice it's going down planar is going down and we'll put out that planner so we'll have two planners Yeehaw there's the other sea witch going out all right today was supposed to be an easy day it's turning into a like a work hard day yeah like yeah hard work the high-speed trolling kind of Beats you up pretty good it's it's uh well I was thinking about that like this is It's hard fishing man yeah like you're trying not to fall over you gotta not hit buoys like always checking the rods yeah it's like the bottom of my feet were starting to hurt and I was like oh boy like it was back in Iceland The Souls of my feet will never recover from that trolling trolling trolling been doing a lot of trolling today all the way in 300 feet of water now now we're going against the current whoa these are rocking all right should we bring them in and do some vertical jigging yeah I guess bring them in I was on oh what happened something just whacked this thing what happened that was a good whack like as I was reeling it in something slammed it holy it took it took the hook off it bit The Hook off he thinks he can treat me like this nobody treats me like this man she's smoking for some reason what the heck is going on here [Music] what is her problem should I turn her off give her a little rest you mean yeah I don't know I'm gonna turn her off that's sketchy see if she turns on again yeah oh what the heck is happening [Music] I don't know what to do about that folks I don't want to get stuck out here having some engine issues we can't drink beer until we put a fish on the boat so right now things are amiss you know we're struggling I really want a beer but we can't we made a commitment what are we gonna do no beer until we get a fifth yeah so we got the engine running again we're gonna try one more spot so what do we think fingers crossed I think it's got some fuel injectors or something I'm gonna have a full maintenance done on it after this trip but let's try one last spot so right now we're fishless we're fishless because what we're gonna do right we're gonna we're gonna catch it we're gonna try the vertical Jigs and see if the vertical jigs work we're gonna vertical jig on a spot I got in 250 feet and fingers crossed I'll deal with real problems later I'm just gonna try to fish for a second okay going down 300 feet of water I got a fish on double hook up oh mine is two oh snap oh snap double header double header we gotta get him up before the sharks get them I care about sharks mine's coming up he's starting to float once I got him off the oh maybe not I don't know I love drinking too we deserve this foreign as soon as it freaking hit the bottom yeah they're either there they're either biting or they're not biting okay there's a you got mine's almost up um you want to grab the net or oh no oh mine's an album cover jerk I think they're gonna be the same probably you can flip them can't you yeah I can flip him I'm gonna flip mine [Applause] nice that's a nice fish that's actually a good eating size the smaller ones like that the right one or is that a grater Hammer a baby grater that might be a big oh damn holy that's two times in a row you got a freaking red grouper yes oh oh oh we should probably drop there again absolutely holy smokes holy holy smokes as soon as he hit the bottom is here ready yeah yeah well I should get the big bulgy eyes I don't know if that's because you came from where he came from yeah I think it's because he came from the deep The Depths he came from the underlords wow look at that yeah a red out here in three 250 feet of water freaking red that's insane oh my God you're just like look what I got I was expecting the same thing I think mine's a greater amberjack so I'm gonna throw him back yeah I mean he's pretty fish pretty fish man yeah if I was gonna eat one that's the size yep no all right hold them up down I want to see this go there he is man he's a he's a nicer man let's let's see what he uh let's see how long he is you know what else it was like nothing on that rod and reel no problem at all holy smoke this is the biggest uh biggest grouper I got so far that's a chubby chubby black or red true property let's see he's out of the way we brought so much oh yeah we just decided to go in by himself look how fast oh he's gonna make some nice uh it's a nice fillets look what he spit out look at this crap is that like a red what is that it's like a is that a spider crab yeah it does look like a spider cup that's a spider crab yeah look at that look at his head put a tiny little red thing all right all right back to the spot let's drop that again that was it that was us that was our address we got it like almost immediately all right going down I feel good about this oh we're marking good on the bottom if you hit bottom right now you're gonna hook up mine just stopped falling wait what and then it started again it's something like grabbed it and picked it up for a second oh I got a good feeling about this are you on the was scary I thought he was trying something we're having a tug of war he I take 10 feet he takes 10 feet I take 10 feet he takes only five oh he's floating he's floating I think he's a big grouper blowing up and coming up like a balloon no never mind never mind it's behind you it's yeah oh I wish we had those butt pads oh ah who needs the gym when you got vertical jigging [Music] once you've caught like three four fish vertical jigging it like the arms hurt [Music] here he comes color another uh AJ no you're running for your money didn't he he did good work buddy good oh he's a different person right yeah he's got that black line that's an El Mago yeah yeah that's an almaco Jack he's going in the Box oh he's going oh I'm not even gonna charge him rent at his new home you know I'm I'm that kind of guy look at that I'm gonna go Jack very pretty yeah look at that look at that big fin that's beautiful beautiful fish on a jig on a jiggy jig jig delicious we are number one I am on the bottom I'm bouncing it off oh oh shoot oh that felt like a mutton that that was a mutton no I swear that was a mutton I was bouncing it off the bottom and it felt like a shark hit it only muttons do that oh oh oh I think this might be a mutton did you did you see that thing how it fit once you get them like 30 40 feet up they start floating pretty good this new reel is worth every penny I paid for yeah all right I go back on again back on again The Jig that looks like a spoon [Applause] [Music] whatever this is it's gonna be something good oh it broke off right at the boat right at the boat you start yeah he was right there no I can't I can't believe that just happened got me convinced I'm gonna put on something silver they want silver oh the Heartbreak so many heartbreaks oh you never saw it huh never saw it but Mike Jay was like 15 feet under the boat when it popped off Jiggy Jiggy I'm gonna do two jigs Let It Drop to the bottom two maybe maybe three or four jigs drop to the bottom we're marking stuff on the bottom so we're on the outskirts of it though oh I had a hit didn't get hooked you're on I was oh oh dance on oh snap hands on you're on oh yeah Dan is oh all right I'll I'll bring mine upside down get along little doggy get along corn oh man I love cones oh oh it it feels like a fish but it's small I got a fish but it's small like look I'm horsing them up oh oh God my guy's getting stronger oh yeah we might have the same fish good first you want to reel it in claims it your hook is in the mouth and mine's in the butthole probably wait what the heck another grouper yep oh wait that what is that what happened here who's oh no it's an AJ thing okay all right dang I thought I had a fish okay you're good that's an almaco that's another almaco nice good work we gotta battle through the helmet goes to get to them grouper but to me it is meat it's pretty fresh yeah throw them in there because I'm thinking I could smoke them I think I have a fish on oh maybe not that grouper I made yesterday was really delicious I got the recipe off of one of those Publix like recipe cards you know oh my gosh they ripped my hooks off put your assistant right off so what could have that have been Oahu all right well I hope to Wahoo today I'm gonna tell everyone that that we're gonna that's the story and we're sticking to it I'll verify it oh I ripped my hooks right off the damn thing good thing I got a bunch of extra hooks boom better Bing Bada Bang all right I got new hooks on we're gonna be selling these soon and I think I'm gonna call them the ugly jig it comes at a steep discount because we put no effort into it oh I had a hit you got a fish owl Dan's got a fish on I'm trying to get a fish on I'm trying to oh again and it didn't just it took it all damn it took it all I think it took it took my jig and it took my jig oh what you got there oh where's it's a mutton it's a mutton no kidding you want to flip yeah you can probably flick him in oh there we go oh wow a little baby mutton all right yeah all right I can't believe I got bit off he's almost 17. dang he was so close you gotta go buddy he just needed one more Thanksgiving meal and he would have been big enough it's very nice oh I need one of your rings whoa that was a big wave you got a hit already come on get that fish get that fish get that oh you're on nice oh oh snap yeah maybe not that's right oh that's a fish where's my fish feels like a mutton yeah oh my gosh if you bring up a mutton right now oh oh my God wait oh he's he's gonna be he's gonna be like 17 and a half or something ridiculous he's so close he's so close to being big enough he might be big enough come on pinch too I'm an 18 so where is his face um so he's at 17 and a half and he'll be fine I'll shove it back into this month yeah there he goes good job oh actually if he bites I'm done well Dan's on again apparently they don't care about me anymore but as long as the fish is getting put on the boat I'm okay with that you went from like 16 and a half inches to 17 and a half maybe he's that 18 and a half yeah all of a sudden he got hit oh oh oh oh he got heavy oh oh no oh no you think he got shark yes you just did oh no damn it no oh is there still a witch okay yep let's see what happened here oh damn he did get shocked he got you lost the bottom up right off pretty much they had him hooked on the bottom damn man he cut him he just took him took him and bumped him oh that was that was the 18 inch or two I bet that was that was the keeper mutton they're down there and 254 feet of water see a couple little marks down there you're on yeah oh good one he's taking line oh boy you're really battling that thing oh or that's a 40 inch mutton uh this was a big grouper and now he's got me on the bottom really yeah oh here okay okay all right oh yeah that is a fish that's a fish oh my gosh you might pull up a monster don't tell me he got in the hole again well if you want I can drive the boat over I'm almost got my Lura yo you might have a yeah it could be a big money is he off the bottom or is he on the bottom holy smokes all right put it to him oh oh is he in in there again I don't know oh shoot do you want me to like drive up a little bit yeah maybe four oh oh he's still on okay I'm not worried about running out of line but had them at all and then a little bit down the hole if that's a big grouper he probably went and found himself another hole Yeah oh damn yeah get him up don't let him go back in that hole okay you're a neutral yeah I'm in neutral get him out of that hole oh he got himself back in there huh that's not an AJ if he's digging himself into holes like that hang on got some waves whoa all right a little sporty out here you know never hurt nobody has killed a few people though damn I saw those head shakes he's like boom boom boom yeah have tail he flipped that tail and ran back down yup because he there is a mark going up 20 feet and then went straight back down so he came off the bottom and he was like nope I should have had him right there give him slack wait 10 seconds and then put it to him again maybe he'll like poke out the hole when he feels uh oh yeah oh okay could that be what is this the boat there's not like him pulling no that looked like him pulling that wasn't no boat that was like the second he felt that line come up he probably tried to make a run for it give him all this smoke yeah use that little thumb to take in it every inch online let's see that thumb action Dan no did not work oh oh he does not want to come on he's going to be done by the time you getting them head shakes on there Funkadelic we got a big boy down there are you gaining any light on him I mean we are on a steady drift so we are not stuck on bottom at all right I think he's swimming this way he's got to be swimming this way I want to see whatever this is so bad he's pulling us around the battle has just begun man I see him he's at 240. and we're in 266. don't you worry about what time it is you get that fish up yeah you're gaining on them right gaining that line on them like what are our options right now we just keep fighting them oh we can drag them in water by the way where's he dragging up are we going into deeper work he's taking us into deeper water oh boy he's trying to kill us all right we can try to battle this thing and win yeah I say we try to battle it as long as we don't miss ladies night five o'clock comes around I'm cutting that line hey Dan you've been fighting it all night you're like oh boy there's Black Sails on the horizon I think he's summoning things he summoned the Black Pearl I don't like any of this that beer is gonna taste good I can't imagine something that doesn't want to budge this badly we've drifted like almost a mile hear that uh yeah I see uh he's taking so much line that's terrible damn it up here come fish come chances are good we're gonna let you go that's a lot yeah we'll let you go we promise just swim up I see your line and then I see him all the way down there he's chilling he's chilling oh man I'm gonna give you like a five minute break okay all yours oh geez the rod won't break but the line might that's the deal straight up and down oh God oh he's not happy he just did the shake thing there's that tail he rips that tail and pushes himself back there he's kind of coming up okay he's working a man yeah baby come on it's so satisfying when you get a couple cranks on them my forearm tell me about it are you kidding me oh my gosh is he a big shark I mean is that what he is I think he might be a big shark he's a damn this is a massive shark a massive freaking shark you've got to be kidding what kind of shark is that could eat him a big one let's go look at him our jig back yeah let's get your jig back holy smokes see if you can get a shot of that oh my God he is huge oh that is a uh for this guy holy smokes oh I don't know how I'm gonna get uh damn that's a juice monster oh we gotta get that jig back at all costs whatever it takes you're the one who ate my oh no you're the one who ate my uh he's not happy about this that is a massive shark yeah I was gonna say if you could somehow cut the uh the hook off that would be great then you would keep the uh yeah okay I know you're going for the viral video here all right Dan if you lose your hand think about the views you know foreign Epic all right let's go got the jig back and everything that was uh that was epic okay that was absolutely epic my balls hurt chalk zero and hiko one I know what time it is it's that time it's that time it's that time oh it's that it's that time it's it's beer time oh yeah those rods are pretty legit and the real they're really smooth what do you want a Corona they're a little fishy yeah well which you know part of the game it's actually if they weren't fishy that'd be a problem so I'm assuming that would be short but uh got my ate your mutton or group or whatever he ate something he ate something because the shark that big wouldn't be going after a jig most sharks that go after jigs are like those slender reef sharks that are like here's the here's the here's the real deal about that I am so glad we got it in because had we not that would have been the one that got away from we'd be talking about it for years that was the monster mutton the group no Warsaw the 200 pound Warsaw grouper That Got Away well well well you know Dan you really uh made us work hard there man okay so remember we always say everything hits The Jig everything everything hits that jig man what a fight these are well deserved I think now we're gonna you know we're pretty beat we got a nice chunk of fish in the box so we're gonna head back in now clean the fish and we're gonna cook the fish it's the next day I took my boat out of the water um because I was having those steering issues I was also having some engine issues we completely took this engine apart we took the lower unit off we took the whole cowling off and we did a full service and hopefully she's going to be running really good the next time we fire her up but for now I think it's time to clean some fish oh yeah they're still loaded on Ice Dan took the grouper but I got the alma go jacks yeah yeah nice Bullseye sometimes these Jacks have worms and sometimes they don't fingers crossed this one doesn't have worms sometimes the smaller ones don't have worms which is great foreign [Music] hey good news no worms okay all right that's that's really good actually that's exciting okay there we have it a nice pretty juicy chunky fillet of almaco Jack lay it on a paper towel I'll finish filling up the jack and I'll see you guys in the kitchen I got the Elma Go Jack in a bag and I gotta go to Orlando so I'm like how do I cook This I Gotta leave in an hour I'm gonna cut the Bloodlines out and any bones then I'll put the fish back in the bag with some brown sugar salt and water and it'll basically be brining inside of this bag normally I would brine my fish in a bucket but this is travel Cooking Show Now Shazam there we have it I trimmed all the bloodline off the fish uh made sure there's no bones in it now you have a couple pieces like these are the Bloodlines that I cut out of the fish there's bones in there this is my bag I put water in there nice chunk of salt and it's salty and brown sugar and I'm gonna dump the fish in it fish is in the bag I double wrapped it just so I don't end up with a huge mess in the car I'm gonna drive to Orlando now we're gonna do some gator hunting up there four and a half hour drive I'll see you there we made it to Orlando we got the fish we're about to cook up we're here with David and a little sneak peek neither of us have ever caught a gator but we got this little 12-foot boat here and we're gonna go out and try to catch ourselves the monster but that's in the next video so make sure you hit the Subscribe button because something tells me if we went on that tiny little 12 foot like canoe style John Boat and we went gator hunting we had an engine failure yeah our engine stopped working you know while we were out in the swamps and then we this fish two cool things that uh Chris did was he seasoned the fish with the Slap Yo Mama seasoning I actually think I have some check it out this is it slap your mama seasonings I brined this fish in like a sugary salty brown sugar Brine and normally I don't put any seasoning on it I have never put seasoning on any fish I've smoked so I'm interested to try this out I'd be lying if I said I haven't already tried it you take a piece of good bread you put some butter on it and then you lay his piece of smoked fish on top that with a hot cup of coffee is like the best breakfast in the world another tip that Chris did that I don't do is he put all the fish on that rack you saw it in the rack earlier and he puts the whole rack on the smoker and then after smoking for about an hour or two whenever your fish is done you just take the rack off that's so much smarter because normally I just like it gets stuck to the grates and it makes a mess but the rack smart let's see how it came out check it out smells good smoked fish you can make fish dip with this or just eat it plain or like put it on top of a salad I'm really enjoying the seasoning on top of it great job Chris thank you so
