welcome or welcome back we are recording this live inside of our proper human diet Community but if you're watching the replay on YouTube Welcome to you as well if you want to become a member here's where you can go so this live stream is to address the gazillion Labs that we got drawn back in December and we have all the results now of everything we did have one test that apparently got cancelled I don't know what happened there we're going to go over our results and let you guys in on the top secret information of what eating tons of red meat butter and bacon grease has done to our layups little background if you don't know my health background is I have Hashimoto's autoimmune disease which I keep my symptoms in remission by eating mostly meat I eat meat-based keto ketovore cornivore is whatever you want to call it I have a few vegetables that don't seem to cause me any problems but majority of my nutrition comes from animal based protein eggs and stuff like that and I used to have pre-diabetes and used to be severely obese and have severe reflux and other stuff but the things that would show up on the lab would be pre-diabetes and I eat 90% beef 9% eggs and then 1% Seafood pork chicken whatever else comes and occasionally I'll eat a little nious veg uh use some garlic powder some onion powder sometimes I have some minced onions or minced garlic in my what my meat but 90% fatty red beef is mainly or or sheep if if we have it in the freezer either way you slice it whatever you call it call it we're eating way more than the powers that be would recommend yeah yeah uh to keep you from heart damage and high cholesterol and high triglycerides and all of that stuff so that's what we're going to dive into today we're going to pull it up on the screen it's probably going to cut me off but that is all right we're going to start off with dear Dr berries me first Labs first because I think that's the most concerning to most people right you can see on the screen I'm first maybe we should start with since it's already on mine I've redacted all important information so stalkers sorry about your luck stalk away good luck um okay so first we have a CBC with diff everything is looking fine my wet blood cell count was low that essentially means nothing as far as I know with your white cell distribution and the percentages being fine that's essentially meaningless but if you're not a doctor and nurse you wouldn't necessarily know that but hers is 2/10 of a point so 200 low which is irrelevance and if you're worried about that what you would do is just get it rechecked in a month right I'm I wasn't concerned and nothing bad has happened yet so and then underneath that everything else there was within normal limits then we have a CMP everything within normal Lim limits in that category as well you can't say yeah you can on this ring my potassium it was cut off earlier when I was testing the images okay so next more of the complete metabolic profile more yeah the rest of the CM everything including my liver Al and a all is good B ribbon's good protein creatinine serum all of that is looking normal next is the C peptide which is a great proxy marker for insulin production hers is Stone Cold normal which you expect eating a very low carb diet and now keep in mind we literally ordered every test we could think of and then I I actually had a Twitter post where I was like which of my labs would you like to see this is way more than an average person would ever need to have ordered we did this for education purposes and For Your Entertainment and for the haters you know exactly and so next is your CRP which is C reactive protein which is a very sensitive marker for inflammation look at that it's low it's beautiful perfect and so if if in fact red meat or saturated fat was inflammatory at all as you hear many people say then nisha's CRP should be elevated then we have my DHEA sulfate normal ESR which just said right that that's another inflammatory so again that should be elevated from all the red meat that she's eating less than two for that uh then we did my sex hormone EST wait is that right estral yeah that's that's in the weird place estr doll was 111 which is fine fertin this is something a lot of people are concerned with mine was 17.1 normal range is 13 to 150 so low end of that folate was 10 perfect 4.9 which my a1c's always been good so this is not a marker I was concerned about but we did it just for you know fast and then her fasting insulin 6.6 which also is great and yeah we're both very fast Ed this day I think we got to the clinic around it was right before lunch cuz we didn't went right after lunch so I think it was 12:00 when we got to the lab and then we ate we had probably been fasting 18 hours 16 17 18 yeah you probably a little longer than myself and then the next page then we have what do we want to call lipid panel and this is the advanced lipid panel so her total cholesterol eating tons of red meat saturated fat cholesterol 166 and when you see mine you'll see the difference in the genetics because we essentially eat the same thing I I eat more saturated fat and red meat than her but not an astronomical amount more her HDL is gorgeous at 81 triglycerides gorgeous at 48 and LDL cholesterol 73 many people would have to take a Statin to get their LDL cholesterol or ratha and hers is just naturally 73 eating a red meat heavy diet and then the particle numbers as I've said before I don't consider these useful yet I think they're still experimental as do I consider the APO APO lipoprotein B which hers is normal and her LP little a also normal neither of which I consider meaningful the two numbers I care about here is the HDL cholesterol and the triglycerides they've been used for enough years that I consider them to not be experimental and then oxidize LDL hers is is fine it's far less than 60 28 phosphorus is great her progesterone 6.35 free T3 is good reverse T3 is nice and low T4 1.14 and then her total iron binding capacity normal at 382 transfer normal at 322 PS is 2.0 which that's a little high for me I like to keep mine a little below two but it's fine and I wasn't feeling really awful I probably feel a little bit better when it's around 1.5 so but that was right before I decided I needed to clean it up it was right after Christmas and you know I've been letting things go for a few months there all right what's next the the UR analysis Ur analysis and so even though we had been fasting for 16 to 18 hours her urine ketones are negative again I tell all you guys don't waste your money on urine Ketone sticks they're very there's no way she wasn't in ketosis if You' tested blood ketones it would have shown probably at least a 7even or point8 but your analysis otherwise completely normal copper yep normal cortisol normal CA C which is another way of looking at kidney function and I added this one not because I was worried about either of our kidney functions but just to show you guys that's what it looks like and that's the normal range and then since we eat so much meat and she eats a lot of seafood I wanted to make sure we test it for heavy metals including Mercury and you can see this woman can eat three dozen oysters at a time she eats quite a bit of sea food just was munching on shrimp today Shri and her Mercury is not even a blip lower than Detective Leed is fine arsenic fine homocystine another acute phase reactant which can show inflammation is normal very normal and then insulin like growth factor some nerd on Twitter wanted us to get that so there that is it's normal il6 interlukin 6 is another marker for inflammation and I wanted to check our body wide inflammation from as many different angles as possible especially for me since I have an autoimmune disease that's a very important marker for me any kind of inflammation I want it to be documented cuz my word is thing but to show how my body is actually reacting to me eating such a heavy meat-based diet with an autoimune disease eating all the inflammatory meat that she eats yet a third and this is a very specific marker for inflammation normal but also can I just want to clarify here I don't just eat meat right I have onions avocado Tomatoes several times a month not every day but several times a month and people get really upset about that because those are quotequote inflammatory things but still my body seems to tolerate that amount in those specific types of vegetables well so so for the militant vegans who are our friends we love you the red meat is not causing inflammation in her body but also for the mil milit carnivores who are also our friends and colleagues the veg that she eats is not showing any indication of inflammation whatsoever in this woman who has an autoimmune condition so I'm not saying this applies to everybody with an autoimmune disease this is just Nisha but we wanted to check it from as many different angles as possible then a RBC magnesium because some people think that serum magnesium that that this is a better marker so we got that just a have for completeness omega3 omega-6 fatty acid panel her EPA is good her DHA is good her omega-3 index is is high and her Omega 6 to omega3 ratio is 12 which I wouldn't mind if that were a little lower but that's not I don't think that's terrible at all is that from all the bacon that I eat probably the bacon and chicken yeah yeah yeah I eat a lot of bacon cream you'll see when you when it comes to mine I eat no chicken essentially and I do eat bacon but it not as you eat way more chicken and pork and mine's also what I would consider to be a little high but not but I'm still I don't care about that yeah yeah yeah I don't think it's a big deal at all this is did you flip it up there selenium and sex hormones so selenium is something that a lot of people with Hashimoto are yeah that's the wrong concerned about I do not supplement selenium how many Brazil nuts have you eat zero Brazil nuts in the last six years probably in fact I hate Brazil nuts when he told me I needed back before we knew what we know now he was like you need to start eating Brazil nuts and I was like they're disgusting I'm never going to do that but I do eat a lot of eggs and you can find selenium and eggs abut so my selenium sea and seafood my selenium was what 12 oh I'm sorry 123 right in the middle yeah perfect and then sex hormones sex hormones testosterone 24 six hormone binding globulin 90 free testosterone you came back barely low at 86 and then free testosterone 2 and bioavailable five so make it that what you will now here's one that uh my vitamin B1 was little bit low thyman level barely low which I'm not sure if I'm concerned about or not we'll do more research on that and I'll give you guys an update on that now here's the two that that R the trouble children the Hashimoto's so I like I said I have a Hashimoto and so we have my antibodies tested and I went back last night and looked at the last video that I did where I talked about my labs and my labs were less than point my antibodies sorry were less than 0.9 and now they are that was TG I think they're 197 which is much higher than they were but like I said this was in December we all know what comes before December all the holidays and everything so I had been eating way more vegetables way more keto treats way more stress also so that could have been it I don't know I'm going to have them retested in probably May and see how they're looking after I've done this whole reset and everything so back when you were eating super clean your antibodies were essentially normal essentially non-existent yeah but I will say I don't feel worse so I want you guys to keep in mind like your symptoms and your Labs like they one does not exist without the other they are they both in a relationship together so while they are elevated I'm not laid up in the bed sick um you know things are still going good besides my kids waking up at 1:00 a.m. all of that is fine so I'm not super concerned but I do want to get them back down because I was so proud of that level but symptom wise I'm not feeling like that I don't notice that you feel like you you did back when they were you really I think I can maybe feel better yeah of course at that at that time but I've cleaned it up a lot since December and then uric acid normal B2 normal B12 normal vitamin B6 normal vitamin C low here's the thing vitamin C if it's low you get scurvy well yeah but the first things you start to notice is just generalized fatigue poor wound healing bleeding gums you have any of that no if you get a scratch or something it heals oh yeah super fast very quickly yeah yeah yeah same for me and then vitamin d44 uh which I would love for that to be 50 to 100 and uh so middle of winter though win that's right and we're and also full disclosure we both suck at taking our V at taking supplements we yeah I'm so anti take anything so I don't know why I should need to shut up and take it and then her vitamin E is fine zinc is fine again the seafood and the egg yolks and the meat great source of zinc you don't have to get that from Plants the last thing on the last page we wanted to get a glycated albumin because we talk about that a lot just to show you guys and the lab messed that up I don't know if they messed the sample up or didn't use the right tube see the nurse practitioner messaged and said that it somehow got cancelled in the system and that she was going to try and see if that got canceled after it was done or what happened there but in any case we'll get that done again Y and then finally another very specific marker for inflammation tnf Alpha tumor necrosis Factor Alpha hers is low there's no sign of inflammation whatsoever in nisha's body I find it very very fascinating that all of my inflammation markers are low but my antibodies are up isn't that that's odd to me to me if one is up the other should be up too but it's telling because you can have elevated antibodies and not have body-wide inflammation depending on your diet and your lifestyle but also like keep in mind when I first had all my symptoms and I felt like absolute trash I had no antibodies show up so that's why I'm saying like monitor your symptoms and your Labs one is not more important than the other they're both important and like pay attention to everything because like I said I felt like absolute garbage everything was quote unquote normal my TSH my antibodies my T3 T4 all of my thyroid lops were normal yet I was a ghost of myself and had extreme symptoms your thyroid levels in in this lab you were not taking thyroid replacement no no I haven't been on medications since I had Becket so 2020 2020 2020 oh my gosh four years years wow that's weird yeah but to keep in mind doctor and a nurse live in the house and so if she detects that Hashimoto is truly flaring up I see signs like you don't look like you feel well for several days now we would definitely recheck those and she would get right back on that obviously if any of you guys have Hashimoto follow up with your doctor don't just take that into your own hands yeah again this is is all for entertainment and education and just because we thought you guys would find it interesting so I guess we're going to get move on to Dr Berry now now the big reveal hey there Dr kenberry here I just wanted to reach out to you personally and extend an you've got questions about your diet your medical conditions or the road forward we've got answers for you inside the group does this tell my age on there uh we all know how old you are yes I your dat of birth okay born in 68 55 is that right 55 okay 55y old male previous pre-diabetic previous very inflamed sick yucky nasty severe obesity and that was back in my late 30s now in 55 years of age let's go through this we'll start with the CBC with differential white counts normal my RBC count that's red blood cells is a little bit high and I've actually had that several times on past Labs yours has kind of always been even before you were doing carnivore yep yep you notice my Ruddy appearance I a lot of people make fun of my skin color and it I can't help it it's my Heritage I'm a redneck and I tend to have a higher RBC and a higher hematocrite my hemoglobin's never been high but typically my rbcs and and crit are just a little bit above normal MCV and MCH MCHC all normal so I'm not worried about this at all and anytime the blood mobile comes to town out of an overabundance of caution I'll go give blood just to because there's some limited longevity research that shows that having less viscosity in the blood less a lower red blood cell count might increase longevity so I'll do that but it's not like so I'm gonna live forever right yes you will yeah yeah yeah that's one of the theories is why women live longer than men is they have a period once a month and therefore have lower and age total Theory okay total Theory not proven at all that's exactly right and then for some reason it repe repeated three time twice or three times everything else is normal everything's fine is wait is your too it's the just the CRI not the hemoglobin oh okay okay yeah next page Alice completely normal liver Labs completely normal now CO2 this freaks a lot of people out my CO2 was a little low and there's some doctors typically uh doctors of Homeopathy and and naturopaths who will say oh you're acidic so as a previous ER Doctor Who's drawn many many arterial blood gases I can tell you that CO2 in Venus blood is not a reliable marker of acidity of acidemia not even an accurate marker for CO2 you have to check arterial blood to get that so again I'm not worried about that at all my glucose was 91 bu crine normal calcium everything else is normal and then it repeats again now C peptide is the next bolded 1.79 very happy with that now my inflammatory markers CRP High sensitivity 2.7 completely normal and like I said at the beginning of this 90% of my diet is fatty red meat and when I cook two pounds of ground beef the grease the drippings the just pure fat I mix that up with the meat I eat that too I do not pour that off a lot of people never drained ground beef in this house we eat the fat here I'll tell you why I don't because I'm lazy and it's a lot of work I don't mind it right and and it doesn't bother me at all but I always thought it was I've never done that my whole life just because I'm lazy and my my DHEA was 89 which is still within normal limits but that's a little lower than I would like for it to be I'm not sure if I if I'll take a DHEA supplement for that or if I'll just try to tweak it with diet and exercise it's still within normal limits so one is ESR but it kind of splits the screen so it says ESR but then the result is on the got you so said raate 12 so again here's a guy 55 years of age and you know in inflammation tends to increase as you get older eating a 90% fatty red meat diet and drinks the grease no no sign of inflammation on the second marker fertin normal 368 folate is low quite a bit low pork and egg yolks when we did this I had been basically just living on beef so I'm probably going to increase my egg yolks to get the folate back up you've already been doing that granted this was in December so this it's we've already been doing things for three months so the next time we get our results that will reflect the past and then there's my GL glycated albumin that they messed up but I don't need that because I have a A1c of 5.5 and remember my A1C at its highest was 6.1 back when I was very pre-diabetic after I tried to follow the American Diabetes Association diet and it went from 5.7 to 6.1 so eating just meat and eggs it's 5.5 which I'm very happy with and my total insulin is 7.0 so well under 10 and i' I'd like for it to be five but I'm happy with it being a seven of course my Iron's going to be normal cuz I eat all the red meats and now the lipid panel non HDL cholesterol high at 2011 LDL particle number High 2867 LDL small 354 High total cholesterol 255 which is high but now remember last time I got my total cholesterol it was 350 yeah I think it was 354 actually yeah yeah and so it's my total cholesterol has fallen 100 points in how many years of Carnival four years I think four years ago I got them I'm I'm Terri I'm a terrible patient it was about four years yeah yeah HDL cholesterol 54 now I'll tell you I'm one of those guys that I could used to never get my HDL into the 40s it was always 30-some multiple multiple times even when I was a younger man this is from fatty red meat and this is from lifting heavy things on the farm that's what did that and also I don't filter my coffee we have an espresso and that's what I drink it's not filtered and so I could proba get that a little bit even a little higher if I started filtering that's a whole another video everybody's going to be like what do you mean I've got a video on my channel if you want to check it out and then my triglycerides when I was first diagnosed pre-diabetes they were 300 and something there's Now 60 were they really yeah yeah LDL medium and large the medium is the ones that are high large is is normal and I have a pattern eight and then my APO B APO lipoprotein B is high and my LP little a is high so according to Dr AA and Dr lipid all these these guys that's his Twitter handle I can't think of his actual name but that's his handle I'm going to die any minute according to that but I've looked into these tests extensively there're in my opinion still experimental and I predict that over the next few years they'll fall by the wayside and people won't even talk about them anymore also he is going to get a CAC but the machine was down or they couldn't get us in something so we're going to have to go back and do that on another day but yes we are going well I I don't think I'm going to get it done but he is going to get it done okay I'll do it yeah it takes five minutes yeah but I'm going to get a CAC and then if it's not zero then I'm going to get a a cored artery inal thickness maybe get a CT angiogram depending on what my C we should have all the tests yeah I do too without getting too much radiation yeah well no yeah okay next page is that not the same it's a repeat but then we got to go down yeah okay so some of it is repeated at the top so skipped down to phosphorus which was normal then my prostate specific antigen 55 years of age so I need to check that normal at 2.02 all of my thyroid stuff was normal I'm not concerned about that I've never had any problems with thyroid now down to the testosterone uh panel sex hormone 50.3 free testosterone 74 uh bioavailable 153 and total testosterone 750 and as a 55-year-old I'm happy with with all that I don't have any any worries or concerns with that normal vitamin B1 which is thyine is normal and then there's my thyroid antibodies they're normal total iron binding capacity normal transfering normal and then TSH I don't know why they don't just put all the thyroid Labs now another very important marker for me tumor necrosis Factor Alpha a marker of inflammation the high sensitivity one completely normal eating a 90% fatty red meat diet and drinking the grease no sign of inflammation whatsoever and then my urine analysis and my urine ketones were Trace no I think that's the urobil yeah so I barely had and I'd been fasting for 16 18 hours much longer than I had yeah I think I was fasting maybe 14 hours maybe all right and so again urine Ketone dipsticks not accurate don't use those to gauge your keto if you're a keto color of your urine yellow yeah it was yellow that's and the rest that's a repeat so down to U acid completely normal during my CR croscopy my B12 was 590 so you notice neither Nisha nor I have really super high B12 there's a normal distribution curve for all this stuff and there are some people when they're eating the same carnivore diet that I'm eating they'll have a vitamin B12 of 1,00 it's just the way your genes and and your epigenetics are working oh my gosh you're B my B6 level is substantially high so I have no deficiency of vitamin B6 and I I'm not concerned with this B6 level I'm not taking any supplements no I'm just eating human food and so that's what my body chose to do with that and I'm not concerned about that at all my vitamin d25 47 a little higher than yours but still not where I would like for it to be w we' got to remember to take our damn vitamin D know I know I know listen doctor and nurses are the worst patient we are absolutely next page insulin like growth factor because of the nerd on Twitter there's that normal at 169 and then this nias and B3 this is like a smoking test I think they ordered the wrong test this is not helpful at all I'm not sure and then my zinc normal uh even though I eat virtually zero plants my zinc was fine and then next page y I think one or two two more okay okay copper the reason I wanted to get copper was because I eat quite a bit of cod liver and chicken liver and there are so many people out there like oh you'll get copper toxicity if you eat liver no no completely normal on the lower range of normal he eats a lot I probably eat liver two or three times a week no sign of copper toxicity whatsoever there's my cortisol just checking one like that is not helpful at all you have to check them multiple times over the course of the day now my heavy metals completely normal no sign of heavy metal poisoning despite all the stuff you hear about oh Meats full of toxins and antibiotics and hormones and heavy metals no no sign of that at all homocystine barely High 15.2 so 210 of a point higher than normal I'm not especially concerned about this uh there's multiple reasons that could be slightly elevated I'm not worried about that at all now interlan 6 another marker of inflammation completely normal no sign of inflammation in this red meat eater my magnesium uh RBC RBC magnesium completely normal and now my omega-3 omega-6 fatty acid profile EPA point4 DHA 1.3 my omega-3 index is high once again and then my Omega 6 to omega3 ratio 12 almost exactly the same as niches which I would like for it to be a little better than that but I'm not especially worried radonic acid which is a great anti-inflammatory antioxidant in the body completely normal and then last page selenium and I haven't eaten a Brazil nut in 10 years selenium is is right in the middle of normal looks great vitamin B2 completely normal my vitamin C is also low it's the same isn't it I think yours was 12 mine was 10 so we're both low now how often do I get injured working out in the wood every single day and how many days does it take a big scratch to I mean it's hard to tell because there's new ones every day to be honest but I mean his leg's not falling off so I think that probably has but she's actually comedy before where's that big SC that was on your leg like 3 days ago and it's already healed and gone so no bleeding gums uh no signs of scurvy no no problems with wound healing so I'm not concerned about that a lot of people would say oh my God you need a vitamin C supplement also like vitamin C can be found in tomatoes and things that I eat so it's not even like even our levels are very similar and I actually eat things with vam and seeing them right right now I'll tell you guys when I got my labs checked four years ago I had been a carnivore for a year or two and my vitamin C was normal now it's it's significantly low but I'm having no signs of scurvy is everybody saying they have scurvy because the vitamin C is low and not a lot SC a lot of doctors if they see this they'll say oh my God you got scy they'll say that yeah huh completely ignoring that there's a a list of well-known symptoms that go along signs and symptoms of scurvy and if you don't have any of those then it's impossible that you have scurvy and and then my vitamin A completely normal ah did we not get ey done checked was that the one one of the ones that didn't well you in order to really check an eyon you've got to do a 24-hour year in col oh right we talked about that okay so it was more trouble than it was worth and we take ey down all the time so our ey is definitely not hang on let me bring us up on the screen here okay wow that wasn't that fun okay so let's review these are not all the labs you need to get done we did this for your information our information education and entertainment just because we did all of this doesn't mean that you need to do all of this yeah this cost us 2,000 bucks a piece to do these labs and we didn't file Insurance because there's that would be unethical so we we paid cash for these but we wanted you guys to see the black and white truth of what our labs are For Better or For Worse and I'm sure there are some vegans who are going to have a field day with my fan level definitely my particle sizes and my pattern a so they can stick around and watch those exactly so watch out I'm not going to lie I'm a bit concerned with those because I am a nurse and my nurse brain is going oh my God what the actual um this turd better not have a heart attack and leave okay so we are having that done do I think he's going to have a heart ATT no you should see him out in the woods okay he puts 20y olds to shame but for the sake of my mental health and also just to clarify that these things can look like this and maybe have a cic of zero like we want to be able to support what we're doing and if you know if Dr Barry is wrong is he going to tell you that he's wrong 100% yes of course absolutely and I'm gonna punch him in the throat um I'll be in the coffin and you'll be throat punching me um we did have one question somebody said just to clarify how long should we be fasting before we get labs done because you said you were fased for like 18 hours and they thought you shouldn't be fasting until 14 hours that's right 12 to 14 hours is i that's the ideal time frame to fast before you have any labs drawn okay regardless of what your doctor tells you so could your been skewed because you were tiny bit tiny bit Yeah tiny bit but not no what I would expect was that my my blood sugar would be up a little and my trigs would be up a little right but they were still normal still Norm it's okay all right so those are the main things it would have affected yeah okay they we had a few people asking because they were like I'm confused I thought you said that long that's right we did so now you guys know she mentioned we were bad patients right yeah any other questions that anybody has oh yeah let's bring up the chat oh yeah perfect okay Holly what's up Holly Holly says b AC score was really high but other tests were amazing stress test and I feel better than ever I'm going to have another C scan next year y but I'm sure my 50 years of eating the sad diet did that yeah so baselines if you've never had a CAC you don't know what it was before so you have nothing to compare to so you want a CAC score to get a baseline for future reference because whatever it is you don't know if it's worse or better or what what happened in the middle there so unless it comes back as a zero this is just a starting off point you know and anybody with the high CAC I would absolutely encourage you to repeat it every 12 months both I and Dr Adam N Dr Shan Baker Dr ner Ali many many many of us in the who are doctors in this space we've seen CAC scores go down with a proper human diet that's strict enough for long enough and so I would encourage you to repeat that every 12 months how many tubes did you have that was a lot of tests so there's a there's a real on my Instagram you can see all of is a like the the FLOTUS were like that's probably we had fun that's probably offensive the lab tags were yes the LA yeah the LM lmts I think what they were yeah they were like what the hell these people so no they knew us they knew us and they were very very nice because of the do or the nurse practitioner that ordered it and these Labs were ordered by Amanda Decker who's our friend she has a clinic in in Tennessee that's who ordered these for us and we're her patients officially we did all the hoops and that mess okay so Ellen says someone asked how often should we do Labs I think it depends on your health your previous medical conditions if you're on medications those things play a huge part in getting your Labs checked if you have just started thyroid medication you need to have those specific thyroid Labs checked in six weeks to see how the dosage is working out if you're someone who is completely healthy and has no health conditions once a year is probably okay for you so that's something that is n equals one again it's going to be different for everybody that's the exact right answer somewhere between monthly and once a year that's depending on multiple variables the more health conditions you have the more often you would get them checked the more medications you have the more often you would need to get them checked if you have symptoms pop up if you're having trouble like all you know those things there's no black and white answer when it comes to how often it's you have to be in communication with your provider and self-aware enough to be able to say something's off I think I need to go get my labs done or I feel great I'm GNA put it off till you know next quarter or whatever and some dogs are great about ordering Labs routinely other dogs are very lazy about labs and they'll they'll let you go a year when you should not go a year in between the labs uh yes true Health we did talk about my selenium levels they were normal and B1 was was that low was that the one that was low you can watch replay yeah yeah all right let's take a few more questions about Labs guys oh get that one about right uh yeah it's a good question Dara says how can it be 111 if you were fasting good question so for many carnivores you can have what appears to be a higher than you would expect blood sugar because I don't eat carbs and so my liver makes the glucose that I need and I was fasting for 18 16 18 hours I had depleted most of my glycogen and so my liver was making glucose that's a completely normal thing to happen that's not pathology at all that's physiology this is a great question displaced hoer says what are the negatives of just taking a vitamin C supplement while carnivore is it the accumulation of AD one in the supplements that concern you I'm like you I take as few as I can I'm not concerned and I was going to say earlier when I was going over that but Nisha interrupted me was uh I always interrupt her so I had to get my dig in when I could If This Were Your labs and you're like ye that freaks me out a little I want to take 250 milligrams of Vitamin C a day I would say yeah do it it's not going to hurt a thing it might help uh but there's no proof that it helps but it's definitely not going to hurt you I'm not going to take Vitamin C probably what I'll do is we're we're about to plant our garden here in a few weeks and I'll just uh I'll eat a quarter of a green pepper once a week that's probably what I'll do just a reminder to talk to this person because I don't know if you're a woman or a man these are his thoughts on our labs and not your lab so whatever he said about our specific hemoglobin A1c whatever that only applies to us if you have a level on your Labs that breeds high or low y ask your provider to go in more depth about whether that is a concern or if it is not because depending on your health conditions it could be not for us because you know certain things we're not talking to you we are talking to our specific Labs our spef specific health diagnosises and this is a pattern that's that's well known to occur sometimes in people of Scotch Irish Nordic Neanderthal descent in my particular case I'm not worried about it but if yours are high talk to your doctor right so just a reminder this doesn't app and that applies to everything that we've talked about this entire video talk to your doctor he is my doctor and he's his own doctor yes we play doctor oh Lordy on that note yes Co Mara do as I say not as I do said kenberry 12 to 14 hours yes thank you all so much for hanging out with us I hope you found this informative entertaining educational and all the things if you did make sure to leave a comment and hit that thumb and share this with a friend share this with a vegan y y share it with a fellow carnivore or you know somebody who just might be interested in seeing how Labs can be affected with this way of eating thanks so much for hanging out and we'll see you next time
