[Music] you know legends map from Explorer here welcome to our biggest episode yet over the next couple episodes we'll be taking you from the danger Eve illage through the crab the old tele track and all the way to the tip of Australia of course along for the adventure I've got Lane and Rocko from tracking our campus Simon and cam from custom off road legendary Navi Bergy can't wait let's get into it [Music] well here we go the legendary crab trap this is my third time up to KP off believe it or not this is the first time it's been open so a little bit excited is a massive understatement I can't wait for this one so about the first steep hill almost method to the topic we found a bit of a section there that lives up a bit too much so badly it is kind of snatch us out we'll be on to fight the next one right I will banks giving me this one to try out I don't know if I'm sold yet I really like the LT shackle but I'll give it a go they yeah pull and tray on the track lucky the boys and try to go to college good morning fellas it's certified someone's got a bit of loss Hostel boys so far we've had an absolutely epic morning on the crab track what a beautiful little Hilda's Creek behind us pull up for a bit of lunch and see what crab tracks got to join us this afternoon off here we go the luxury set up like the other guys so we just get up up each group controls enough bread and console or in Ohio we go love it believe it or not it's taken me eight beans to have a crack at this track and it's wait they weren't wrong they said it was extremely steep extremely slippery bloody muddy and a whole heap of fun and they've absolutely nailed it every time you think you're at the top of the bread you turn a corner and there's another massive incline this track is turning into one of my all-time favorites [Applause] this is one thing you want at the end of a massive bill fine it's a Google pair and the crab track does not disappoint it is absolutely amazing how much hype we've managed to cover in such a short period of time so this is one speck eSports done and dusted what an epic day the crab trap has turned it on now look I don't think this is an ideal track for beginners but if you're thinking about giving it a go make sure you check in with the local council for weather conditions and to see if it's open or close I recommend a well setup vehicle and all the correct recovery gear is an absolute must [Music] all right I'll tell you what five weeks ago yesterday we were set up just south of Bundy having a few too many beers and we decided we go to Cape York and we're now sitting in the lines then hotel we're having a cold beer got food on the way if there's one bit of advice I can give you it's don't need 12 months to plan a trip for baby or get a group of folks together set a date jump in your trucks can get up here with Bart we've had five weeks of planning oh yeah I had a paperwork done to my car packed it on the Friday night and we left Saturday so get off your ass get up it i'ma check it out your boys Chesson heads cancel dads it's all right all right we got a free big day so we'll leave the line stand this morning and up to cook town I'll ask me to stock up and then from there I think we'll try uncle she had to Elm Beach have it was their own Beach is pretty spec it's sort of like the coloured sands at the I old Eddie owns that place up there so I look at that and from there we'll try and push up to almost Bramwell and then also can I just say yeah well I reckon we need [Music] last thing you want to see up here right [Music] right so we just had a live line stand this morning we've noticed that lanes eight he's got a little bit of cool leaking I'm just gonna drop this bottom batch plate off hopefully it's as simple as tightening up his bottom hose and not a split tank so fingers crossed looks like that bottom hose could have been a little bit low so tighten that up you have 30 days to cook down we're just going to monitor it on the way hopefully that's all it was let's go [Music] I'll add sells the world famous for instant hotel definitely one of the top 15 country pops right out IBS tasted pretty sweet last night after night but loading all the walls a few people being there and Abby's definitely taste better after they died oh he just another monster coming up Taman shud elimate just going to grab some fuel all right well we're just here at Cooktown this is our last sort of civilization before we get up to family up last-minute supplies bread milk refill and our way to the chili [Music] all right this is one detour you do not want to miss when you rock up at the gate make sure you go on say g'day to my mate Eddie here's the aboriginal landowner up this way and he only charges $10 a night for camping it's an absolute bargain and it will be better than any 5-star Hotel you've ever stayed [Music] all right so we're just down here at Elm Beach it's got to be one of my favorite sneaky little campsites up here we're about 45 minutes outside of school town unfortunately we don't have time to stay the night but we are going to go for a quick drive down along the beach show you guys the coloured sands and everything else does to offer [Music] well I tell you what you never know what you might find cruising along the remote beaches of Cape York we're up here about 10 15 minutes up a melon beach and we've just sound the Australian kite surfing Safari now these little water tank style houses house white surface for about three months of the year when it's blowing an absolute gale in the offseason you're allowed to come up rent the cabins sleeps up to twelve people it really is your own little slice of paradise away from everybody absolutely [Music] [Applause] halation it doesn't matter how many times I come up here I absolutely love the tape Northridge there's probably only one thing that you won't miss from up here and it's the bloody corrugations there's one thing Cape York is not short of it is history there is plenty of old ruins and remains scattered throughout the whole Cape region and Old World War two planes to old stations it's really impressive to see just how tough you guys did it back in the day oh yeah you're not [Applause] [Music] [ __ ] right Oh day three we've got a big cook up going on this morning we're a couple of Kay's out of : we're just camped on the riverbed here beautiful little spot today we're going to head off head north cut out and do the Frenchman's track so I haven't done that one at about 8 years these boys haven't done it before so pretty keen to get stuck in [Music] you're kidding that what's happened well looks like the balls are coming out from well the core acacia in the round little [Music] heavy corrugations really not the cars around so I've got so I'm going over there size sevens coming apart our cars had a bit of an incident with the spotlights and a bit of engine trouble yeah didn't check the Sporty's off don't car it's a nice little tip make sure you check all your [ __ ] thread it to the IRB Spotty's they both come up with 100 kilometers an hour down the road and the new bolts and they should be good to go now the Frenchman's track is not the easiest apply a little bit of spray paint on the tree is only portability so if you're coming up this way I definitely recommend running some form personally I'm running the Hema app and it saves me a bucketload of time I wouldn't come up this way without [Music] the Frenchman's water track now look it's not for everybody it does feature two major water crossings the Pasco and the wind lock it's got plenty of little technical sections with steep entries and exits you've got to really pick the timing with this one if the water levels are up it's impossible so if there's been a lot of rain you might want to give it a skip [Music] oh she looks like the Fonz to dip and exits one's body in pogies oh hell the other ones batteries why not everyone oh we're me Ches Oh Fitz Daisy told you know is it taught my case it was you you prick [Music] all right I definitely made that look a little bit too easy it's definitely a reason they call it the magic buttons 76 is now twin lock and is doing the Frenchman's weeds well ladies had a barrel craft what's up with the trial around the back of no lockers he's just blocks traction it's just all powder so we run the wind she had to propose astray get him up and sit up man bags bread bachelor season we're going to cave out these shackles - traps damn is good you can phones No oh yeah this pocket over here [Music] well I'd so because lanes got so much weight with the trailer sitting behind him we're just going to run a winch a pulley block run the tree trunk projector back to the front of his truck of course always make sure you've got a winch dampener on and I should pop straight over let's get into it [Music] well lanes had a bit of alternator trouble today and though he's just run out of juice in the worst possible location yeah who ever loved to think [Music] [Music] so close mate after winching up that big step up it was almost impossible to get traction in this powdery sand a quick snatch should get the job done so time to give them it's ego it showed all the cruises up so far so yeah guys Oh nobody was next now let's hookah following the niche effective thanks line let's walk them up try and get right at bramble Junction for me yeah absolutely slow down if not we'll find something awesome the track news ll put the talk it's euro well we've had a massive few days pushing up through Cape York CREB track done and dusted the lion's den and up through the Frenchman's we pulled in late again at Bramwell Junction but I tell you what everyone's absolutely raring to go tomorrow morning to hit the old Telegraph truck so unfortunately that's the end of this episode stay tuned next time when we take on the old telegraph track [Music]
