Cantilever Floating steps

Had to modernize these steps that connect to my garden paths. I used 2x4 attached to 5/8 x 6 slats for the first two lower step forms. I roughly laid the three forms to ensure the level and height were going to be correct. This first pour used 6 bags of 60#. I had used 1x4s for the form, so the concrete is roughly 3" deep and not floating. Poured the second step on top of the first step edge and used another 6 bags of concrete For the third form (top step) I decided to make the float a bit more pronounced so I added a 1x4 board on top of the 2x4 and also taped and lubed the junctures for easier removal. The completed steps turned out to be the classy steps that I was hoping for!
