CANOE CAMPING - HAMMOCK CAMP- MESS KIT COOKING ON THE CAMPFIRE

a buddy mike from mike's wild world he's he's out here somewhere i'm supposed to meet him we're gonna do some dispersed camping here in the sumpter national forest hey i don't know if he's anyway i'm going to hook up with him later at the campsite well it ain't a real it ain't really a campsite it's just something we kind of we kind of cleared some brush out and uh that's where we're gonna camp tonight dang it all right that's the fifth one in a row i caught a little not even four inches long i think i'm gonna go me and mike met earlier and kind of cleaned up that that little place on it's on back there i'm gonna go on back up there and set up my hammock and my tarpon stuff i think that's our spot right over there all right i say spot our spot but there really is there is no there is no assigned spots it's the forest yeah yeah yeah yeah i'm on the right track just as soon as i get here look look what's happening got to leave room for mike to get his canoe here comes mike hey mike so mike's trying to set his stuff up over there i guess we're gonna share this one tree and i'm gonna set my stuff up right here at least that's the preliminary plan we'll have to see how how it goes [Applause] mike there's a there's a free water source right there that's still raining a little bit but we're taking it easy in the hammocks now i think mike went down there to get some water and i'm just chilling just chilling in the hammock i tried to tell him he should he should have collected some of that water coming off his tarp he's down there down there getting some water out of the lake now you can try out his filter anyway i guess we're gonna get to cooking it's dinner time for sure alright um so so somebody has to clean the fish i went down to the shop the other day and got that old grill out and built up the fire in there and i think i cooked something and i took it up to karen and gave it to her try this camp cooking she's like oh that's good yeah yeah she said why don't you brought it all the way up here what yeah that's good she's usually standing at the kitchen when they're watching me look out here every 15 20 minutes make sure i'm still up there okay my wife says she looks out the window to make sure i'm still alive when i'm out working in the yard yeah now if you rush in real quick and you find a policy what i'm gonna have i i cook ground taco meat black beans and rice i'm gonna warm that up in here and then i'm gonna slice this pepper open i'm gonna stuff it all in there i'm gonna let it sizzle around in my mess kit i'm almost ready to eat mike but you know what i can't i can't forget my texas pete of course it's good stuff how's your fish fish is good a little bony bunny little bony small fish oh well you eat fish you got to eat bones stuffed poblano pepper on the campfire it's good stuff well i'm gonna let me the rest of this i told mike i i believe i'm gonna have to jump in the lake man you know it's a hundred it was 150 out here but i think it's now that we built a fire everything it's probably about 250 so definitely got to jump in the lake anyway if i don't talk to you again appreciate you hanging out with us and uh see you next time i don't see anything i don't see anything tied to a tree or i don't see anything leaning on a tree and i don't see any trash so i think nope no pegs in the ground no nope one piece of plastic one piece of plastic all right well that was a fun time i uh i didn't video a whole lot mostly me and mike just sat around talked and stuff after we got chilling in the hammocks and cooked our supper and uh anyway he's a fun guy to hang out with i'm glad i'm fortunate that i found somebody that uh likes doing this kind of stuff this lives so close to me you know so and we appreciate it mike and i appreciate it uh appreciate y'all watching um and uh we'll see you next time bye
