Can You Really Make $100,000+ A Year Fixing Cell Phones?

what's up everybody checking and checking in doing multiple uploads today like many of you guys may have become accustomed to me doing on this channel um I'm here with mr. Ontario of tech connect cuckoo so in this video once we let you fool it a couple people know that we're live we're gonna talk about a question that I got since we did the lip excuse me did the last video about can you really make $100,000 or more fixing cellphones so for those of you that don't know mr. Ontario he has his own IT business in North Carolina fixing cellphones is just one part of his business but that is worth talking about in this video and we're actually doing a live event and they'll build online course for it as well so let's get straight into it if you guys got any questions about you know how to make a hundred thousand dollars just fixing cellphones you know to put it in a chat question as we do our little spiel so straight out the gate first question everybody wants to know and a lot of people have doubted since we made the last video can you really make a hundred thousand dollars in a year fix the phone yes yes you can kukuku how many people do you know personally um let's just keep it locally so in North Carolina how many people do you know um that's making six figures $100,000 or more just fixing phones I have about 15 personal friends that's doing it here in North Carolina and all of them are making over 100 grand a year Wow so basically they were pear phones and also tablets I feel like cell phones tablets go hand in hand then repair phones or tablets and then they have other things a part of their business for us like computer repair as well but fixing phones is huge it's a huge market for it it's a billion-dollar industry in itself so you can do you know who can someone new that wants to come to a live event take a course or whatever just learned the game from you Fred those who that don't know he's been in the tech industry over eight years so if somebody wanted to learn this skill and go out and start making money do you think that a newbie can take that information from you that they learned in a day and go out and start making money and we don't try to make me first six figures that year I definitely believe so I also want to say that I feel like your area makes a difference as well so let's say you go to an area and no one is going cell phone okay I kind of like my area that's only to repair shops and Clayton so of course it's gonna be a lot easier for us to make those numbers versus area where there's 100 repair shops so definitely do your homework on your area but yes you can do that you can definitely cool what would you say outside of the information right whatever that cost which you guys know we offer in the course and stuff August 17th is the live event and we're gonna work on the online course to get out shortly after but total investment outside of whatever it costs to get that knowledge what do you think it'll take to make six figures like do they need to have a commercial building like this website you'll have to have a commercial building believe it or not that's actually platforms once you're trained which I'm you know that's what we hopes that live event once you're trained there's actually platforms that were contract work to you and you know that's one way to get started if you do want to go ahead and create overhead meaning get a brick-and-mortar store that's another thing I feel like a brick and mortar store you become a universal you become universal to the audience meaning people can visit you in person and you know you don't have to meet them at the home and stuff like that a lot of contract work is going to meeting people at their residence at their jobs and stuff like that but if they can come to you still I think that's better I guess I'm a little old fashioned but I know the new the new modern way of doing things I had to do it also first so we would go out to the person's job or home to repair the device and but yeah it's the same in Brazil you still get paid what did you start off with I actually started off meeting people at McDonald's posting online posting on Craigslist meeting people at McDonald's stuff like that and it kind of that was the way I started and it just went from there I was like hey I want even more people to trust me so what do I have to do to get more people to trust me and that's when I came up with the idea of the brick-and-mortar location okay so from a financial perspective no did you start off with a thousand dollars like two thousand dollars like what did you meet me and my business partner originally we started out with three hundred dollars and we already had our repair kids oh god you know my handles repair kids to the chat for anybody but go ahead yeah so yeah we started $300 and we already had our repair kids so let's say - about $30 for the repair kids and that's how we got started just three hundred dollars and I know a lot of people say well how is that possible and basically when a person comes to get a phone repair if you do not have the part in stock you can order the part take a deposit meaning they pay for that part you get paid for your labor after the job is done or the complete repair is done so that's a option for you guys if they enter chic cool cool so with a $300 investment plus this kit that I'm about to answer the cheque you guys were able to get up and running what's the most common failings you come across in the eight plus years you've been doing this so most coming phones you're gonna that's gonna hit your desk as far as repair it's gonna be Apple products Samsung I was saying is about third on the list only because the parts cost a lot more for samsung devices Apple devices is what I would consider more affordable for consumers but I have prepared all the above Samsung LG motor a Seuss or aces as some people may say why way why ways the believe it not like the second most popular phone in the world even though we have a current issue goes wrong with that way yeah Apple would definitely be hitting your desk first in my personal opinion okay so since you'll come across a lot of Apple products with Apple phones right on what about that actual repair that you'll be doing most of the time the actual reported top three I guess yeah the top I know number one is gonna be screen repair people drop their phone I mean it happens every day it's happening right now somewhere the second most common thing is battery issues people overcharging their batteries these newer phones have what they call they learn meaning the same technology that you hear in a car if you were to disconnect the post but yeah so if you overcharge your phone it's it's damaging that battery slowly over time so that's the second most common repair for me the third most common clean charge important placement people just not paying attention just mashing it in as hard as they can damaging that connection so obviously charging port replacement is third on the list but those are the top three cool cool how hard is it to find customers cuz I feel like we're talking about yeah you can make a hundred thousand dollars a year fix their phones you're gonna come across mostly iPhones these are the common repairs but if you have the skills and don't have anybody that you can seal that skill to you can't make anything so how hard would you say it is to find customers it's it's very easy to find customers guys be honest depending on what you do in life for me a good example is I have a good church family you just mentioned hey this is what I do they would support you friends family I mean those are going to be your first customers guaranteed they would support you everyone everyone at some point of time has a as a cell phone issue so they don't know a phone that you haven't repaired in years maybe they got an old phone or something like that how hard is it for you to find affordable parts most most devices that's what we call flagship meaning at some point of time that company said this is the latest and greatest device that you need in your your hand on a day to day basis those parts are still very very you're able to find them almost anywhere I have a list of suppliers that carries ninety steel 95% of phones they even came out six seven years ago so I would say it's easy to find parts still unless someone brings in a device that was not a flagship phone and and it's not even a name-brand phone if you make then it becomes a little bit more challenging and at that point in time you know you kind of go over with the customer hey you know this phone cost this brand new to repair that caused this you know it's cheaper to just buy another one brand new and just move forward with that cool cool and tell the people certifications now you do the government has putting their stamp on that but now with cell phone repair you do not but I recommend getting some some really thorough training you know to get a good jump start instead of you Guinea pigging it and damaging someone's device and you having to pay money out of your pocket before you start making money cuckoo Oh see what we left off here you're just thousand or is nine hundred thousand right so without selling you know the person's name or their business do you feel comfortable just sharing how much some of your friends are making with their business yeah just just the numbers I could give you their numbers I can't give their names oh hey I got one friend he has several stories he's making about a million a year this in North Carolinas is in North Carolina everyone I'm stating this come here in North Carolina have one friend that's making about 600,000 a year this is all in North Carolina I have another friend that's making about 20,000 a month so that's about yeah about 300 over 300k a year and then I have other friends that's making a 120 hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year so it's it's real guys it's real cool cool shout out the line from Houston there's so many 365 days in the calendar year he made two hundred and seventy four dollars per day I could see a person make 100k in a year yeah absolutely and you only have to work all 365 days shout out Memphis Tennessee Anthony in the building how long on average in time does it take to replace the screen it becomes second-nature a certain point in time guys I'll be honest I'm down to about 15 20 minutes so in that range when you first start out it probably taking double that even if it takes you an hour just just take your time and really learn the craft really learn the craft is what it's about all right and then uh there follow-up question is how long on average in time does it take to replace a battery batteries um is not that long to be honest with you batteries um I honestly can probably replace the battery in about six minutes no maybe man Jake's here doing a video on that one day but I can probably really replace that better in about 6 are own cell phone repair business but now with touching on any unanswered questions you guys may have before we end this livestream also you'll see two links in the chat when it's for the starter kit else to create this home business for themselves for those of you that are interested um hey Ontario what's the average time that it takes you to replace a component like a screen charge for our phone so I already talked about the screen and the battery yes but what about the charging the charging port the charging port is about the same as the screen it's not it's not that that bad the only time it gets a little tricky on you guys is with the newer phones they made it where you got to come and take the motherboard out so I would say compensate for that time add add another 20 minutes or so let's say 40 minutes so you're still making pretty good money at 40 minutes cool cool um next time and I see yeah a 100 every - you I will address this real quickly but you know do we just jump over it it's too much for class I already know how to fix it up on the computers what I want to know is the business side I'll pay 200 that's not what we offering it right so we offering all the skills in the business side of it if that's not for you then you know respect to you but that's not what we're doing here so uh moving on what made you start this business I had to find something I was I felt like I was going to be good at and I've always been into technology even in high school I remember my teacher and 11th grade he allowed me to teach the class in a computer class so it started with computers and we all know phones of many computers pretty much like handheld computers so that's what started this whole trip down this Lane so cool cool appreciate all 33 people that's here just like said I think it became down one of those things where you were thinking that people that did not know you would trust you meeting at like McDonald's and stuff like that to get that device service so I lot of people just so with me there comes a level in time that you have to lean on experience with a lot of ZTE phones like I tell everyone there's no that's not really videos out there on how to replace it so that's probably why they won't do it but I lean on my experience I actually in in the last three months I'll probably replace about tens each and and I just lean on my experience you know I know how to take it apart put it back together a lot of people are just not you know they they YouTube everything which is fine no not to that but at some point in time you really want to know what you're doing you know be able to do it on your own and someone give you a device that's never been open ever you want to be able to be the first to successfully repair that device cuckoo um even an old phone just to tear down and that you can tear up and it won't you know cause any issues now because it is kind of tough to be able to practice and you don't even have a device to tear apart yeah that's that's pretty pretty tough what will you guys teach in the lab against okay how to fix phones not just crank screens right well yeah a data recovery cracked screens all the repairs needed but switching out sergeant pours camera you let them you know I mean whatever it is right but you're gonna learn how to fix the phone you're gonna learn how to structure your business how to find customers pretty much is gonna be you know in one day you'll learn not only just the hard skills of how to fix it but how do you take this skill that you now know and make it a business and structure your business get customers the whole nine yards so um we have a video with actually the itinerary broke down of everything you're gonna learn but in a nutshell for simplicity of answering your question you learn everything about fixing a phone and then how to take that skill and make it a business so our structure your business get customers whole nine yards for those that come out or average sounds like it takes less than an hour or so to work on the phone so a person could work on quite a few phones in a single day correct yeah good I think we touched on that the last video on average when you break it down let's say you get it and it starts being second nature for you it's about twenty to twenty-four devices in an eight-hour day and then you multiply that by what you'd be cell phone repair is just part of that company right I'm so he's gonna teach that I know he has way more experience than me Mike can anybody else that I know doing this um what did you and your partner invested $300 on that was our first month rent we already had our two kids and then we did free advertising utilizing Craigslist and Facebook like I said the first people that support you was family and friends that's always those are the ones I would recommend leaning on first and then your church congregation if anyone attends you know these people always have these needs it's not going anywhere as long as they keep pumping out technology and we keep depending on our phone it's gonna always be there always coo coo um hello can you do this part-time about four hours a day Monday through Friday a possible 50,000 oh is is $50,000 a year possible do you think if you ran this business part-time he's doing it I guess afterward yeah you sure can um and definitely like I said there's platforms out there you know once you get that training then I can elaborate more on that but yeah it's definitely platforms out there and it's about the work to you and you can make that kind of money and you don't even have to work hard cool do you own a glass machine to do Samsung and to just fix glass I don't that's that's more refurbishing I'm actually thinking about investing into that right now I do have a local supplier who does two Apple screens and he has that machine or a machine comfortable to the Samsung so that's that right there's a whole nother business but I have not tapped into it personally but I do have one friend locally that has and he's doing really well for himself he's doing about 20k a month 20 25 km on in that business but yeah that's another business but I haven't happening to that one person who asked earlier can you explain the phone plan we'll be able to venture with your plan or you show how to start your own so this is this is the question I'm reading if you understand it better than me so about how is to them we're gonna teach them about fixing phones and then decide where you sell it yeah yes you definitely want to learn how to repair first and then I can I can tell you what I did from my business wise they help you guys get jump-started you know what what what state are you from if you don't mind me asking yeah that is a Shawn and then it's up to you if you decide to to use the information or not um takes me 15 to 20 minutes for me to fix the cell phone yes let seems like that you know a lot of you were able to do it that definitely definitely get your hands wet we're doing that and the rest to come you know you start challenging yourself you say hey I took this phone screen off now I want to see if I can take the earpiece off or something like that you start challenging yourself so you know it's it's it's worth it guys it is it's worth it cuckoo um what else do you repair with the kid besides cell phones and tablets um with with the kid you actually can repair some small laptops and stuff like that because it's like screwdrivers and stuff like that but the kid specializes having like the right size screwdriver tips for certain phones there are certain phones that need special tools and those kids have that special tool included who are my bestest cellphones for years but I never thought of doing it as a business so absolutely so people out there that has these skills might want to already can do it oh I was gonna say that Greenville come on no Charlie okay Sean so down where you're at there should be a ECU so you you make a lot of money doing this I actually I'm trying to think from what I know I have a lot of people come from Wilson and they always there's some people that commute through Greenville and stuff like that but they've been a college area you make a lot of money doing this they guarantee guaranteed you make a lot of money doing this just learn to uh the prices in your area and I mean I teach all that in the class to you know knowing your market I like saying knowing your market so that's part of it on your market cool and the last question that I see is where did you get your business shirts and logo done from or by I got a local guy I love it a lot of people I use is local so I have a local guy if you want me to leave his information I can alright so
