Imagine what you can mount with a sasquatch package.

what's up guys mitchell watts with towner country tv and today i am joined by the man the myth the legend mr jordan from the bronco nation i'm back absolutely so we're so glad to have him here today um tell us what you brought to us yeah so surprise merry christmas we brought you a 2021 ford bronco badlands four-door uh standard suspension and 33-inch tires not sasquatch package and we figured we'd let you guys play around with it a little bit put some nice shiny items we have on here behind us and see how it rides absolutely well thank you santa i appreciate it very much it's even red yeah absolutely absolutely we coordinated that absolutely so in today's video what we are going to do is we're going to be testing different wheel and tire combinations so we've got different offsets we've got different uh widths on wheels we even have 35s and 37s to see if we can get a set of 37s to fit on a non-sasquatch bronco let's go ahead and jump in and let's take a look at the wheels themselves before we actually dive into the details of each and every wheel tell us a little bit about why we're even making this video so we've had tons of questions from you at home the bronco community about how big of a tire and wheel can you put on your broncos you may have ordered a stock badlands with 33-inch tires non-sasquatch suspension like we have here but you want to add your own custom wheel and tire options like the ones we have behind us so you've asked how big can you go how you know what is that going to cause what is that going to do in my driving conditions is it going to rub is it not going to rub so we're here to basically show you guys test them out as mitch said we have 35s and 37-inch tires and we're going to show you the good the bad and the ugly of what it looks like on a stock badlands absolutely so let's go ahead and dive into the wheels themselves so first off i do want to say that none of this video is sponsored no money has changed hands with the bronco nation and town and country tv yeah i'm still waiting on my check me too but i also want to say that as far as the the falcon tires and wheel pros which if you don't know wheel pros is the company that owns kmc fuel off-road black rhino wheels and a lot more but no money was changed hands on any of this but i will tell you though that wheel pros donated the wheels and then also falcon tires donated the tires so huge thanks to those of you guys that helped participate and make this wheel uh this video possible so without further ado let's go ahead and talk about this this is the falcon wild peak this is a 35 by 1250 17 inch wheel and keep in mind that is a 17 inch wheel all the way around now that particular one kmc it's the km 724 impact now what's so cool about this particular wheel this is the only set in the entire world that we're at the time we're making this video so this is a brand new style that thank you very very much to wheel pros he's standing back over this direction he probably doesn't want to be on video but a huge huge thank you to kmc for allowing us to debut this wheel to the world nobody's even seen this at the time we're making this video so it's very very cool now i will tell you though the the coolest part about this wheel is not even how good it looks but where it's built talk to us about that so thankfully these wheels are all made in america which is great but even better these are made in auburn alabama uh my alma mater so warrior to all those auburn fans and auburn grads out there uh we're here in bessemer alabama so for those of you who lean the other direction i'm sorry but these are made in the best city uh in the state of alabama so you might as well i don't know what's uh more fighting worse talking about politics we're talking about uh alabama versus all political in the state of illinois is political so but anyway so this particular wheel is a 17 and an eight and a half i think is what it is as far as the width is concerned yeah it's a 17 inches tall and it's eight and a half inches wide this particular wheel has a zero offset so that's important to know because that's going to drastically affect how this wheel fits on the vehicle and what can actually turn and what can't now let's talk about this this is ken block's personal wheel style directly from fuel off-road wheels now that is going to be the ken uh it's i think they just caught the block if i'm not mistaken uh but that is a 17 by nine inch wheel it has a negative 12 offset meaning that it's going to stick out even further than what we just looked at just a second ago with the kmc so that's going to be interesting to see how this one works this also happens to have the exact same tire this particular vehicle this wheel has so both of these are 35 by 1250s the only difference is going to be the width and the offset of the wheel so it's going to be very interesting to see how those two play out between them now this one is going to be the interesting one this is a 37 by 1250 on a 17 inch rim now this is the black rhino glacier and this thing has got a stupid amount of positive offset this one's got 35 millimeters of positive offset which is going to cause that wheel and tire to sink nice and flush inside the vehicle and it's going to give us our best chance at actually being able to turn instead of 37s along the stock bronco and keep in mind we're not modifying the suspension in any ways but we have a couple of ideas that we're going to do to try and actually make these tires fit on the truck so just make sure you stay all the way through i don't want to spoil the surprise just yet so without further ado let's go ahead and take a look at the uh the factory wheels and tires these are gonna be your optional upgraded uh wheels on the badlands now again this is not the sasquatch package these are 33 inch tires but they are the upgraded bead lock capable wheel so this is gonna be your darker beauty ring you can also get it in a lighter warm alloy beauty ring that's more of an aluminum shade but again this is your 33 inch tire with a 17 inch bead lock capable wheel and then you are going to have your regular fender flare you do not have the wider sasquatch fender flare so also something to keep in mind and something we're going to look at and how that affects the three tires and wheels we got sitting to the mitch's right before we go any further you guys let us know which of those three is your favorite pause the video go down to the comments do you like number one far left two middle or three far right let us know uh and then we'll give you our favorites at the very end of the video once they're mounted i'm gonna take that one step further you know 89 of you guys that are watching our videos are not subscribed to the channel so if you're subscribed so number one hit that button hit the subscribe button and then leave that comment down below we're gonna give one of those sets of wheels and tires to you guys so well yeah not only are we gonna get your opinion we're gonna put our money where our mouth is but once again a huge thanks to falcon tires and wheelchair that's all hooking us up so make sure you're subscribed because if you're not subscribed you don't get a win absolutely all right so let's go ahead and start uh start changing it up see what we do let's do it all right so we've got the first set off all right so this is what it looks like when it's off as you can see this particular wheel has uh definitely it's definitely seen some dirt so it's nice to see them using that you can see down in here it actually has the dimensions of the wheel and stamped on the back side of it so as you can see by eight now i'm assuming this means that it's a positive 55 offset i'm not 100 sure but that is interesting to see that now another question that a lot of people have asked um the bronco nation specifically what is that is the way they want to know how much this wheel and tire weighs the stock wheel and tire so we have a beautiful uh gloss black scale here and we're going to find out live on camera i don't know the answer mitchell doesn't know the answer but you guys are about to find out the answer 80 81.6 i guessed 80. so i'm i win i win the wheels and tires guys i didn't even guess but i would have not gotten anywhere close to that so wow 81.6 pounds that's interesting all right i guess what we'll do is we'll go ahead and grab the first set that we're going to put on there and let's weigh those two because as you guys know you put a bigger wheel and tire guess what that thing's probably gonna be a little bit heavier too so and for just for a point of reference we just drove this here from alabama to birmingham alabama no we drove from atlanta to birmingham alabama with these wheels and tires and i was averaging about 21.5 two miles per gallon thanks miles an hour so that's it eighty pounds per wheel and tire of course the heavier you get the worse your gas mileage is going to be all right let's see what we can do with the weight of this one oh that's a big big 106 so a pretty good thirty twenty six twenty five pound increase that's going to be that's gonna be interesting all right so let's see if my out of shape self can get this thing up here trust me y'all don't want me working on your car that's why we got dylan in the background he's the one that makes us all look good here i can promise you that yeah he made that look a lot easier mitchell can you tell you know what that positive 55 offset makes a lot of sense when you see how much that thing is sticking out on the side yeah all right so next up let's see what the spare tire looks like as far as fitment is concerned because something you've got to realize if you go with a bigger tire i'm just curious if it's going to actually clear this third brake light now i don't see any adjustability um i don't know have you heard anything about it i mean the sasquatch fits on here so i don't that's a great question it's it's interesting to know if it you know if it's either adjustable or if the sasquatch comes with a different third brake light bracket there we go now if i damage this it's not my fault right [Laughter] he's like wait wait wait what well i guess do we have any more a little bit yeah i mean it's but it doesn't it doesn't hit it yeah all right so we've got them all mounted and balanced and uh if you want to let's go ahead and cut it one way and see if we've got any clearance yeah that ain't gonna work is it not no it's yeah it's it's already hitting the crash bar don't turn it and what about the front one so all right turn it the other direction off looking all the way all right to right there stop oh yeah so it's hitting the crash bars in the front and the rear now what's interesting to note about these crash bars is that the sasquatch package doesn't have them is that right right well that's interesting that the sasquatch doesn't have them but these do so because sasquatch has 35s what i noticed on the crash bars it looks like you can unbolt those is that right correct two bolts front and back are you thinking what i'm thinking can we pull out the dude i'm gonna take my silence as a consent he didn't say no so let's let's go ahead and lift it back up in the air and uh let's rip out these uh let's rip out these crash bars now keep in mind guys crash bars we're not going to rip them out we're going to delicately unscrew them and gently take them off that's exactly right and we're going to replace them okay so now we've got the front crash bar on the passenger side removed or actually not removed but unbolted where you can actually get it out but the problem is is that you have to actually remove the end cap on the hd front bumper just to be able to get this out so now it looks like we're gonna have to do undo all of these ford bronco bolts just to get the crash bar out but the good news is still at least we don't have to cut it out and and i also want to talk about something on crash bars we don't recommend that you remove crash bars because that's a safety thing and we're not smart enough to talk about safety recommendations um we're just trying to simply show what does and doesn't fit with the this is a yeah the purpose of this video is to test and to show you guys as you said what will and will not fit these are not these are not our recommendations we do not condone anything you see here they're just simply showing you so you don't make the same mistake for example if you do decide under your own liability to take your crash bars off now you know to remove the end cap first before you go ahead and do that so this is all just a demonstration these are by no means legal opinions or anything that we're going to be holding responsible for absolutely but the more you know the better you can prepare you're very well rehearsed you could have been a lawyer you know that you know my parents said because i've always loved to argue as a child anyway so yeah there we go pre-production let's get it one thing we've learned today dylan is a lot stronger than i am all right so we've got the rear bolts out of the rear crash bar and now it should just simply slide out let's see if it does and it looks like it's going to clear all right there we go so that is the removal of that rear crash bar as you can see that it's actually got i guess that's a fitting or a shim go ahead and rush me in the comments if you want to because i don't know what that's called but the idea there is the bolts drop down in actually go that way and then the bolts are actually welded to the truck itself on the underside so you have to make sure you got the right tools to access the bolts on the top and then they come out just like that and the crash bar slides right out all right so now that we've got the crash bars removed we're actually going to put this end cap back on so that way you kind of see what it looks like with that heavy duty front modular front bumper with you know basically the way you would probably drive it because most people you know when they're going to be driving their bronco they're probably not going to do it with the end caps removed so let's get everything bolted back together [Music] all right so we just got the first set of wheels off of the rack got the vehicle down and as you can see we've got uh the end caps removed pulled the front uh crash bar out and then put the end caps back on and as you can see it looks like uh did you notice any scrubbing or anything when you drove it nope fantastic um let's do this is the keys in it i'm going to crank it and turn the wheel one way to the other i'm not going to drive it but i i just want to see what it looks like because it doesn't look like it's at full lock so i wanted to be careful as we turn i'm sorry do you see i'm not sure if it's i think i hear something i don't see does it look like it's rubbing anywhere i don't see anything oh it's fantastic okay so look it's rubbing now keep in mind we're on a flat piece of pavement and you know not off-roading but it's interesting to see once again that right there is at full lock to the right and full lock to the left looks just like that and as you can see i don't think that it's got any uh got any rubbing i tell you what um jordan do you want to go ahead and pull it forward at full turn and let's just see if it if it rubs as you're turning and moving first drive on these wheels absolutely i don't hear anything that's perfect now in full disclosure it does look like it's very close so if you're going to go for this setup without lifting your badlands uh or going with the sasquatch package you're going to want to take it very very close be careful if you're going off-roading but man it looks fantastic well there you go that is what this particular setup looks like once again these are those prototype wheels that kmc was nice enough to give to us so we could actually use in this particular scenario and as we've got so many different wheels and tires i have to go back to my notes because i can't remember it all but once again this is the new km 724 impact uh it has a 17 by eight and a half inch wheel with a with a zero offset we thought this was going to be a very mild offset meaning that it's not going to stick out it sticks out a lot farther than i thought it would so maybe that 55 millimeter off positive offset we saw on the factory wheel maybe that is what the positive offset is well and these do have the the stock fender flares not the sasquatch ones so with the sasquatch fender flare you're that's a very good it'll stick out a little bit but you're going to be pretty well covered that's a very very good point yeah i think i think it looks fantastic all right so what we'll do is uh we'll get a couple photos and you know thanks for instagram and then we'll swap out to another set of wheels all right next up are gonna be the blocks by fuel off-road let's weigh them first and see what it comes in at are we making any guesses uh i'm gonna go with 115. okay 115 is what you think it is i have no idea 111 seven i'm pretty good at this guy i'll tell you you've done this before huh all right so no i have not all right so we've got the second set of wheels on there once again these are the fuel blocks and this has got the much more aggressive offset as we'll put right there on the screen because i can't remember it's like negative 12 or 13 but um you can see it does stick out a little bit further um do you see any clearance issues back there jordan i mean i don't i mean we need to set it down i can't tell if it sticks out further or not it looks it looks pretty wide yeah yeah it looks very very comparable to the tube but it does look fantastic so this one has the bead lock ring the other one did not yes it does so yeah and i think this one's just a beauty ring i think it's a fake bead lock you know and i will tell you you know wheel pros does offer you know true bead lock wheels yeah uh but for dot approval we opted for to go with the beauty ring so um yeah let's go ahead and set it on the ground and uh let's check out the turning and see what it looks like there we go yeah go ahead and uh go ahead and cut it all the way i don't see anything rubbing uh cut it all the way and come slow uh turn to the left do you no no no rubbing all right let's turn it all the other way yeah and as you can see it's very tight in there uh but yeah no uh under a normal parking lot situation uh looks like these uh negative offset wheels actually do fit i just got to be very careful i think it's good i think it actually clears i don't know that i'd recommend it for hardcore off-roading no no no no no no you could take a fender off hey but the good news is those fenders are easily removable right modularity the fender flares are easily removable the fender is not so much you still need some tools whatever whatever but uh yeah looks fantastic let's go ahead and uh take it on down and we'll get some extra footage of it [Music] all right now it is time to weigh the absolute last set that we're gonna try on this vehicle and let's roll it on there and see what we got 118 pounds so as you can see there the extra rubber does weigh a good bit more so let's get it on the lift and see if these 37 fit i think they'll fit i just don't think you're gonna be able to turn it's not gonna fit it's not gonna fit well there you go yeah the only way you're gonna get the 37-inch spare tire is to get this third brake light dylan thank you very much man all right so no spare tire looks good it's amazing what that offset does all right come on forward all right so here's the moment of truth can you fit 37s on the stock badlands without the sasquatch package so stationary let's turn it all the way one way slowly oh oh i think i hear something hit i think i heard something right here nothing um uh let's see wow okay all right let's turn it all back the other way it looks like it fits but barely i don't feel anything all right um that's all the way it touches let's uh josh back up just a second let's uh come forward like an inch on the right uh i tell you what don't don't turn it full lock just yet okay and then turn and then slowly pull into a full lock and see if it starts to rub all right come on forward inch forward whenever you're ready all right keep going that's all the way that's all the way yep if holy crap kidding if it fits you're joking i am not joking so apparently apparently 37 spent on a stock badlands that is what i'm talking about we need to post this tonight yeah i know it we're wait we okay josh what's your editing turnaround time okay so guys um if i would have bet i would have lost all my money on that bet right i would have won you you thought it was gonna fit yeah i did i said that did he predict that we might have to rewind the tape i said it was gonna fit all right well i'll tell you what let's go ahead and take it down now mitch really does i'll tell you it is extremely tight in the rear um i love the ride height did you hear something is it rubbing did you stop you stopped that was them i just said i love the ride height yeah oh yeah it absolutely looks fanta it looks sick dude yeah it is very very very close you definitely don't want to be taking a turn and hitting the bump at the same time but i can't believe we're actually able to turn lock to lock that's wild well a stock badlands non-sasquatch fits 37-inch tires now we did have to take the crash bars off up front and uh in the back like the sasquatch package comes with but a non-sasquatch stock badlands fits and drives without any rub on 37-inch tires and this thing looks uh freaking sick mitch what do you think i'm glad that we didn't bet whether or not it was gonna fit because i would have lost that much i did say it was gonna fit for to have confidence in you your dealer does not i'm kidding i'm kidding i'm kidding no no they didn't put any money on it and good guys it might say jordan parker ford up there i know that's right guys would i recommend this setup for your daily driver no it's get you you hit a bump or go off-roading you're gonna you're gonna be buying maybe a fender or something like that but the fact that like you said it it fits yeah you can turn lock to lock and it not rub in a parking lot guys um that what that tells me is just with a very very mild lift you're probably going to be able to fit some crazy wheel and tire combinations so once again i want to repeat myself that we do not condone removing the uh the crash bars we also don't condone any of these wheel and tire setups that we are showing you here but we just wanted to give you guys something to think about like what is possible yeah and and so i just want to take that as a second to say thank you again to the bronco nation guys uh this is their vehicle and they have been so kind to travel all the way from wherever they came from just to let us play around with their bronco for a day so
