Can Tom Kenny Not Do The SpongeBob Laugh Anymore?

it's obvious that tom kenny can't do the spongebob laugh anymore and honestly i don't mind it that thing probably kills his throat every time he does it this response from a spongebob fan isn't the only one on the topic some people have been noticing a small change in newer episodes where the laugh isn't the same how true is that let's dive in [Music] let me ask you a question what's the most iconic spongebob sound there's a pretty good chance the first thing that popped into your head is his laugh that's not a coincidence from the beginning this has always been one of his most defining traits spongebob's laugh is incredibly annoying but like in the best way possible it's unique it's the kind of laugh that this character and only this character can have that was steven hillenburg's intention and tom kenny is a guy for the job he makes it look easy since he's been doing this for so long but over time things may change he's getting older techniques that worked before may not work as well now so that's where this comment comes in as evidence they revealed a clip from a newer episode where spongebob's laugh isn't what you remember this begs a question can tom kenny really not pull it off anymore so find the answer we'll have to see if there's a recent time where he did the classic version of the laugh as it turns out back in 2020 there was this stars of spongebob fan favorite special which had the cast revisit golden episodes you've got some pretty good moves for a squirrel [Music] i don't know about you but to me that sounds pretty spot-on now if you had any doubts about tom's talent we can jump forward in time to the very recent san diego comic con 2022 in a clip posted on spongebob social media miscellaneous nickelodeon stars try their hand at the spongebob laughs [Music] me [Music] [Laughter] [Music] okay so it sounds a bit different but for the most part it's accurate as of right now it seems like tom still knows what he's doing more importantly his throat isn't crushed from the many years of hitting it i kind of feel bad for him still spongebob is one of those characters that seems like he'll never go away eventually tom might get too old to play the character that would be a depressing day one that i hope doesn't happen we'll have to see how things go in the long run but i think he's got this [Music] but anyway that's all for this video subscribe for more awesome cartoon videos give a thumbs up and comment below what you think thanks for watching and i'll see you guys next time [Music]
