so in case you didn't know recently I moved to nice which is down here in the south of France and nice is beautiful it's an amazing City but something I love about it that a lot of people don't know so it's actually really close to the French Alps which you can see here as those white capped Peaks so her I've been doing a common commute here in nice and every time I drive along this highway I've seen these white capped Peaks just poking out from there inviting me or teasing me to come and fly them with my drug now the funny thing is I have no idea where these mountains are so naturally I want to go and find them so after using the 3D View and Apple Maps I just kind of scanned around and found these mountains which I'm guessing are the ones that I saw so the only thing to do now is drive in that general direction about an hour away from the city and my apartment and what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna launch the mavic 3 up here and just get a lay of the land in that direction to see where I need to go exactly drones actually a really good tool if you're feeling lazy and need to figure out where you need to go okay so I'm gonna just try to get some altitude here but I think I can see the snowy mountains just poking through there oh yeah why is it raining all of a sudden it was supposed to be sunny today is the Mini 3 Pro waterproof I guess we'll find out come down little guy he seems all right let's go sound with the new knowledge and confidence that I think I was going in the right direction I decided to keep heading that way and see what I find I've been driving up this really long and windy road to where I think I need to go and I just drove past this incredible waterfall I mean look at this thank you [Music] after taking the Drone up again I could finally see that I was going the exact right way and very close to the mountains I had seen all the way from nice so I've arrived as far as I think I can go there's some nice snow-capped mountains and some more over there bear in mind it is still like spring summer time so they're obviously not going to be covered in snow I'm definitely coming back here in Winter because I think this will be even more incredible so this is the Drone of choice today it's the iFly Chimera 7 Pro V2 and it's really good for long range stuff like this and on top I have the 8 000 milliamp hour lithium ion battery that iflight makes and hopefully that's enough power for me to get up to this mountain but the goal is to get to the top do a bit of a slope saw down and then make it back here without running out of battery so I'm quite nervous but it's only one way to find out if it's possible [Music] so just to be clear I'm going to be switching between this view which is what I see through the fpv goggles and also the video directly taken from the camera which is gonna be a bit better quality so for this first part I decided to take a nice slow cruise up the mountain to conserve power not use too much battery at around 60 kilometers an hour foreign ly got to the top of this mountain and it was epic you can see I got to about a thousand meters above from where I took off from which means the total Innovation was probably about 2.6 to 3 000 meters above sea level unfortunately I exposed for the light at the ground and because the snow is so reflective it was way Overexposed up here so I had to try and fix that so I took a little cruise around the mountains that I clearly saw from nice and it was amazing to see them from up here and they were actually way more than I thought because I could only see the ones at the front from me so this was really cool to see then I flew to another mountain and just did a cruise all the way down [Music] foreign [Music] here's the Drone nice back intact perfect Motors are not even warm battery is not even warm it flew blue beautifully I think what I'm going to do now is take it up again um I can I know I can go to the Pueblo this time so let's just have some fun so in this Ascent I was really lucky because I started seeing these clouds rolling in and I just knew I had to fly through them [Music] and I was so stoked to get to the top of this mountain I mean look at the view from up there it's just incredible and at an altitude of 1 200 meters I think this is the highest I've flown this particular drone before [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] one piece the Drone is here which is always a good thing this thing is beautiful piece of technology if you're interested in getting one for yourself I'll put a link to it in the video a description but other than that I'm really happy I came out today this is a beautiful place only one and a half hour drive from where I live that's insane I'm really excited to explore more of these mountains I'm definitely going to be doing more fpv here and around this area so hope you enjoyed this video and if you did please consider subscribing and I'll see you in the next one
